March 19th, 2021 Stage IIIA Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (Non-Smoking)
February 2022 Stage IV Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (spreading to Brain, and other parts of lung and lymph nodes)
Gene Mutation EGFR with Exon 20 Insertion
TREATMENTS: Received or currently Receiving
2021: 8 Rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin and Paclitaxel) with 30 concurrent radiation treatments to chest and lung
Failed Immunotherapy directly after Chemo and Radiation (Durvalumab, 1 round)
2022: Chemotherapy
10 rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin, Alimta, and Avastin)
6 with Carboplatin, 4 without
Targeted Brain Radiation (Completed)
CURRENT TREATMENT:
I am on a clinical trial for my specific gene mutation

The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
family.

I have been watching this beautiful family for about a year now. Sometimes when i can't go to sleep at night because I'm anxious, I come here to this channel. Jenny's voice is so soothing, Kyle's is as well, they're both so positive, loving, grateful, inspiring, hopeful, and everything good. I love when Jenny says that she's proud of herself!! I think so many of us don't give ourselves enough credit for our accomplishments. I still continue learning from Jenny, and Kyle as well. May God hold Kyle, Ellis, & Winnie extra close. My 3 sons lost their wonderful Dad to cancer almost 3 years ago after a 7 year battle and I unfortunately know how difficult this journey is. Kyle, keep doing amazing with Jenny guiding you along the way!! Love and prayers!! ❤🙏

Every night I close out the day with thanksgiving and then I ask the Lord for strength for Jenny and calm for Kyle. The children are so blessed to have awesome parents!!

Also, huge props to Kyle for being open and positive about taking anxiety medication! Just like you're using chemo and the clinical trial as a tool to get your body through something and onto bigger and better things, psychiatric meds and anxiety meds in particular can be used in the same way - as a temporary tool in your larger toolkit of healing. Some people stay on them forever, and that's totally fine too! Taking care of yourself is so important and I feel like we don't see enough men talking about it like Kyle does, so thank you.

Kyle and Jenny, there is no shame in taking anxiety medication. I have multiple medical issues and the medication I take at night helps my muscles relax to help with sleep. You just don’t realize how tense your muscles are until they are not. God bless you both!!

I just noticed how much Ellis looks like Kyle, at around 16:47 👨👦 I'm so happy that your higher dose is going well. 💗 And a huge thank you to Kyle who felt okay to say he has anxiety and is about to start anti-anxiety meds.... normalizing it is so important.

Jenny, it's *great news* if you're not going through menopause. Even though it's nice not having periods, you don't need the hassle of managing permanent symptoms and hormone treatments. This is good TMI (though not TMI to me) and represents a positive change in your health. I'm also rather optimistic about your upcoming scans, as your specific trial attacks your cancer in a different way to other trials, with greater chances of success. Your increased activity, greater lung capacity, improved mental health and minimal symptoms (all things considered) suggest you're on the right course of action. I'd be willing to believe in a god just to pray for you, but I think your team has got you covered for now. That said, I'm sending all my love and - when the time comes - all my luck for positive results.🍏

Get your sister and dad, LET them help. To take them over & give you breaks just talking about while fighting with this new increase in army power. Get those you trust to go bye bye & let sis come & clean & leave when she can. This is not a time to be "Wonder Woman" which you will always be. JUST NOT NOW. Stay in the moment that is how you will beat this. You can do it. Let go of fear by trust. TRUST> all of it comes down to TRUST.

OK so you need to realize that this new army coming to support your army needs you to REST so that lets your body use all your energy to kill the disease in your body. Have you seen a dermatologist about this face rash that is getting worse. Keep your hands away from your face at all times. Don't over clean it with products until you get permission from your care team. If massage helps, have you considered getting a TENS machine? They work great & I can walk around & do things while it's on. Works best for me when I can just stop & let it massage like a physical therapy massage at will. The machine adjusts for so many settings & they take you thru the settings before you or as you get one. Love you all, Stay home & let those armies fight for you to live. You only get so much energy per day, all of us are this way, yours is less energy & fighting a war right at the moment. So you must do at home, bake, play, watch a movie, play a game. Kids can go some places without you with dad. Dad can have days of maybe Tu & Thurs. go out with just one or the other & have one on one time with dad, which you would think of doing if you weren't fighting at the moment. 🥳🎉⛅🖖Winnie has to sleep to grow and heal. We all do. Yes, naps are great growing & healing times in the midst of chaos/raising two great wonderful human beings.
I know you are struggling terribly with cancer, but your family and family bond is just too beautiful and such a blessing. XX
