Excellent documentary on Churchill, thank you. I live in the suburbs of NYC and am always fascinated by places far away (and ecotourism). Ecotourism for me is driving to nearby Fire Island to see whitetail deer, lol. I have a small modest youtube channel where I primarily discuss hard rock music, but I'd like to venture more into documentaries of this sort. Thanks again.
As a Canadian, welcome and thank you for mentioning the province you're in. So often, our gigantic country is generalized. Experiences like this greatly define that region. Churchill is on my bucket list. What an amazing video! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for saying that. Canada has so much to off and we're excited to highlight this small slice of it. Let us know if you have any questions about planning your trip to Churchill and be sure to check out our video about driving up the Dempster highway to Tuktoyaktuk in the Northwest Territories for more spectacular Canadian adventures. Take care, J&J
@@JustinandJessbro amazing .You must love doing this .And I know passion and you have the passion .merry Xmas dude . You have any more nature photoshoots planned Thnks .
Wow, thank you for the Super Thanks! You're welcome and we're glad you enjoyed the video. To be honest, we didn't even know people could send us 💰 on UA-cam! You're the first 🥇😁
I really enjoyed your train ride video to Churchill and this video once you arrived. The polar bears are incredible! For somewhere down the road, I'd love to see a video of the two of you experiencing The Canadian train (Toronto to Vancouver). You are both so personable and I appreciate you taking us along on your journeys !
Thank you SO much for your kind words; you just made our day! We love that idea of taking the train across Canada... When we do it, I think we'll spring for the sleeper car 😅 - J&J
Excellent video! When that C-46 crashed, the crew walked away. Very fortunate. As it happened, my Christmas present was on board. It eventually arrived. The Churchill bears would work their way up the coast, passing Arviat. One morning, our dog refused to go out. Bear at the bottom of the steps.
Wow, what a story! I'm so glad that your Christmas present made it to you! Thanks for watching and I hope you have your dog some extra treats that day 😆
I love Churchill....i am surprised you didnt have bit of snow.....usually there is 6" to a foot by now. Unless this footage is from like September.... Thanks 🕊️
@JustinandJess Glad you guys enjoyed the journey, it's even nice in the Summer. I never did the train I have flown out of the upper peninsula of Michigan, and Sudbury Ontario. What shocks me always is even on the small planes it's a pretty quick flight to Churchill..... One amazing thing in the last 15 years is the overlap of Grizzly Bear and Polar Bear in Churchill. The DNR, and Scientists suspect they are infiltrating western Ontario now... which is very interesting for their migration patterns. Astonishingly we have millions more acres of trees than we did 100 years ago, meaning habit in the North East especially Northern Quebec is more suitable than ever..... I am glad you two are living life, keep it up! 🕊️
There’s unfortunately been a handful of polar bear-related injuries and deaths in Churchill over the years. So polar bears that wander too close to town are put into the jail for 28 days to act as a negative reinforcement to protect both the polar bears (who otherwise would have to be put down) and the town’s human inhabitants.
Did you offer the polar bears a coke cola? 😂 I heard they can literally track people and hunt them. Those things are massive and dangerous. I’d have a shot gun too.
I've seen videos of people in observation cages while polar bears are climbing on top of them trying to get in! It's very scary and anxiety inducing. They are definitely the aplhas out here in Churchill!

We love Churchill too! This was filmed a couple weeks ago (the third week in October).

Nice trip. I think I might have to get up there with my Nikon 800mm for some pics from far away.
That’s a great lens choice! They’re amazing animals to photograph up close and you'll get some incredible shots!
Great pair of video's, did you get a chance to visit the Forks and the Human Rights Museum m during your time in Winnipeg?
Thank you and no, unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to visit either, but I've just added them to our bucket list!
@@JustinandJess I'd not seen it before, maybe UA-cam are feeling guilty about making it harder for so many of their content creators.
Why is there a 28-day wait to return the bears to the wilderness?

What time of year did you go?
We were there during the third week of August.
