Hello, I have been practicing this secret Neigong of Master Chun Man Sit for about 160 days for 1 hour each day, so I've exceeded the first basic 100 days. After completing these 100 days I reduced my practice to 45 minutes per day and right now on Mondays and Wednesdays I have less time and can practice 15 or 30 minutes. Is that enough? Another question is how much longer I have to continue the practice for this Neigong to develop fully. Any advice would be appreciated. Also I'd like to know if it covers the entire body or not, mainly to protect against knocks or punches. Lastly I'd like to thank Master Chun Man Sit for his contribution to the dissemination of Neigong, which I am sharing with many people who are interested in Tai Chi. Thanks again.

I’m sorry to reply late since I didn’t know this video is on UA-cam.I posted this for my students. Anyway my advice is to keep the 1 hour practice but practice 4 to 5 days per week. The key is to relax more, use less force is the ultimate key to tai chi.

tbh theres more than meets the eye to just practicing this, theres the breathwork, visualisation, body alignment, living well, eating right, meditation and its like a full time job hence places like buddhist temples, shaolin monks etc to just do this daily for 1-2hrs for 100days, 1 yr, 2yrs etc is not really going to get you and life changing changes maybe calm your mind at best. a lot of sifus do not reveal "everything" and only give out bits and pieces just to reel you in etc. hence so many 10min tutorials on yt. even the simplest form zhan zhuang/ standing like a tree is a lot more complex than it looks, if you want to feel the real benefits such as chi flowing throughout your body

Here is general basic way of breathing I use as mentioned inMaster Mantak Chai’s books.
Not exactly related but highly useful.
Breathe in and Fill the belly with air and continue breathing in and raise the breath up to chest then reverse on exhalation.
Ie.Chest down first then stomach is flattened on exhalation then up ,in and out all in one motion like a wave coming in and out of the ocean.
The breath is in and out the nose and it even sounds like a wave in and out.
I do this laying or sitting down and it is a general principle for various kinds of practices as mentioned in Mantak Chias books.

the rule in all internal kung fu as far as breathing goes is one, breath naturally, do not hold your breath to conform to a certain move up or down in or out, always breath naturally, that means take a breath or let it exhale as needed ,you learn to cordinate everything to be natural

Thats not true. Thats what you learned. but thats not quite correct. It all depends on what your goals are. First there is baby breathing. Then reverse breathing. And then natural breathing.

Thank you. This is a great video.
I have been too weak to exercise for about 17 years. My greatness is being held hostage by my selfish-narcissist wife.
I believe that she also suffers by being near me.
In 5 years I will finally leave her because our son will be 16 & able to choose to come with me or to stay with his mother.
When my polite son spars with me then my energy goes up. We spar for about 15 minutes because by then I need a shower. Plus it's boring because he predicts my movements & doesn't want to continue after my shower.
The house is a mess. I have tried putting mirrors up, using fun 15 & 20 pound kettlebells, putting mats on the floor, putting my music, & bringing my friends over, but my current wife doesn't like my friends & she moves everything so that I can't exercise.
Sifu, I don't know if you are married, but you are an inspiration. Your exercise room is neat & pleasant.

you dont seem very nice either talking bad about your wife

    • @danieltheteacher
      @danieltheteacher 8 років тому +2

gracebilavi2 Yes, the Jehovah's Witnesses told me not to tell anyone all the bad things my wife has done to me.
I told because writing things down is soothing for me. One day I plan on making children's books about my life.
When I was in jail I didn't attempt to kill my cell mate that startled me awake with his yelling and he was punching his mattress on top of me.. we had bunk beds.
I didn't attempt to kill him because in Tai Chi the rule is to punch 2nd and arrive first. The thief, he stole a newspaper while he was on probation, well he didn't hit me.
Also I didn't attempt to kill my cell mate because I wanted to get out so that I could be near my 10 year old son. I figured that if I had killed my cell mate then I was not going to get out until my son was maybe 20, 30, or 40 years old.
Prisons and jails should automatically put people in solitary confinement because it would be safer for everyone.
By the way, I was in jail because my daughter had lied to the police.
Previously my wife & my mother had lied to the police and locked me up, too.
Please watch the tv show Branded with Chuck Connors because he and I have a similar life.
My biggest problem was not having money because with money I can pay people off so that they don't continue to tell lies about me.
But money does not affect my mother because she is rich.
Money only buys me 5 more years so that when my son is 16 then I can leave, but by then he will be old enough to come with me or to stay with his mother.
I chose not to sleep with that cell mate inside my cell. I kept my eyes open & prayed to God. One guard began to listen to me, but then the other guard was a bully and told me harshly to keep quiet. For the last 2 nights I didn't sleep. In total I was in jail for 5 days because my wife paid ? $200- $300 bail money to get me out.
I was let out of jail at about 10:30 pm and I could not recognize my son that ran up to me and stopped at the bottom of the stairs. Instantly my thought was: "This man knows how to fight." He must have noticed that I was not smiling.
I didn't recognize my son after the 5 days that I spent in that jail which is a type of hell on Earth.
(Men should never run up to each other in the dark. This is from my fight training in the ghetto of Chicago that I grew up in)
Now I speak very little to my wife. I just tell her to please drive me to work since I don't drive because a cop gave me a ticket and said that I ran the stop sign which is a lie so my wife paid the $166.00.
But I won't drive again until I install cameras on my future pick up truck. I don't like liars.
What calms me down is reading the bible. "Revenge is the Lord's," it says.
God bless you and those that surround you.

Shaolin? No that's the bastardized rebranded version they do in the temple since its said rebrand in the 1980's. It was to hide that the cultural revolution failed( only succeeding in killing hundreds of thousands, and leaving hundreds of millions marked with CPTSD. Anyways...The shaolin horse stance is shoulder width wide, no farther out nor closer in. Wide stances are to develop the fascia, strength of sinews & tendons, imporve jing practice, ecetera ecetera. Ass should be out like a duck, back is straight, knees dont go past the toes, and the head is held level. Look at shaolin boxing & shaolin chanwuyi under the Wu Gulun lineage.

    • @danieltheteacher
      @danieltheteacher 8 років тому

+gracebilavi2 Yes, I believe that weight training is useful because one should have a certain level of strength like to be able to lift a gallon of milk, or to use power tools or to paint a room without being exhausted after painting the ceiling or removing popcorn from the ceiling.
I cut grass and trees so I definitely need to be strong enough to handle many heavy tools. One of my strongest classmates 20 + years ago used to deliver car batteries to stores.
The internal exercises in this video give you a big workout, too, but of different muscles.
To me both internal & external exercises are useful.
At the beginning of my grass cutting 11 years ago a simple self propelled lawnmower would pull me all over the yard because I had been a receptionist/security guard & sitting for 8 hours a day for the previous 10 years.

"You want real dantian training? You pound on the dantian then place the shen there"
Maybe you should be clear about how a person would do this. Force, velocity, relaxation, what kind of tool/hand would "pound", and exactly WHICH Dantian you're referring to. (there are more than one)
"You want to condense the dantian? Inhale hard to the dantian then bend forward while standing or sitting"
Again, not clear which "Dantian" you mean. Condensing for what purpose, and what do you expect to happen after "condensing". Bending forward a single vertebrae at a time, or slumping your body like a wet sock. Vague and unclear.
      .
"You want to to make dantian move? Stir the dantian forcefully in inner circles."
It may seem redundant at this point, but are you saying "Dantian" as in XIA DANTIAN, ZHONG DANTIAN or SHANG DANTIAN?
Also, using "forceful" movement with tension in the body is hazardous. That's why teaching on youtube is often a waste of time. I only have 3 videos with demonstration on here, and people mistakenly want more.
"You want yin yang gong? Breath into dantian and slam the perineum on the ground many times"
This made me chuckle. Non specific "breathe into dantian", I'm assuming you mean LOWER DANTIAN, but don't let me put words in your mouth. As far as "slamming" your perineum on the ground many times, I'm perfectly ok never doing that.
      Thanks much for your response.

no its not. there is a reason why its remain a secret and this is certainly not the way you have to learn it, i certainly recommend not to use this video training for Neigong, if you want to lean neigong find a good and respected Tai Chi trainer, and that way u may come to learn about the Neigong. this video do not show you what u need to know about neigong, because, if its not learned the proper way, neigong training is useless, and if u follow that this man says about how to train it, u will never have the benefits of doing it. so best advice to start training with a real tai chi master, and not over youtube, because its not ass easy as it sounds :-) (and yes i train both Tai Chi and the nei gong)

This is WAY off. I learned the first Yin set, and had a person jump on my stomach, without flexing the abs.....My teacher learned from Dan Docherty in the UK

Try to stay in that horse stance as long as possible the health benefits are amazing. Clear high functioning mind, strong grip in your hands. Can squat down easily to pick things up. Just improves your day to day living.

I assume you have already fused yin and yang together??

I can see the postures are for building up power in dantien and solar plexus but this is not effective...the most powerful methods involve NO BODY MOVEMENT only siting still and using breathing with visualization (if one knows the yang power centre then a lot of focus is on only that and then focus on the yin centre and joining the two into one)..this is essentially what nei gong is not any movements because that is chi gong...anapanasati meditation of buddhism is same as a powerful nei gong just breathing back and forth between 2 points...the yin and yang get united into one force which can be manifested thru the body mostly thru the point in centre of palm

You have a very strong current running through your body, but your laowai students will never ever come close.

You are very wobbly in your stance. You appear to have a very shaky root. I think you should work on how to stand with root before trying to teach anything.

Shaky root? You WANT to have a powerful chiflow, without that you are just doing almost useless gentle physical exercise. Some light swaying would be indicative of such a flow.

@@Dolph-Face very true. Qi flow is notably strong when one can relax and body rocks by itself.
