I love those deleted scenes between Obi-Wan and Anakin (in the Invisible Hand, before they find Palpatine) so much because seeing their mid-fight banter in the movies (and them acting more like TCW versions of them) is so much better I think than the seriousness in the actual cut. It solidifies their friendship a lot more too which only makes the ending of this movie a lot more emotional than it already is. I actually would've liked the scene when Clone Troopers weared Jedi Robes just to trick Obi-Wan and Yoda in Coruscant in the final version of the movie
As if the political commentary of Palpatine literally using Democracy itself as a weapon in his fight against Yoda, and Democracy itself being destroyed as the two fight, we could have had an extra bit of subtext with Palpatine zooming the camera in on Yoda's face to make sure to show Yoda as the attacker - how footage can be spun to portray a wanted narrative. Damn.
In the Matthew Stover novel, Palpatine is actively recording the Office attack and cuts it off right as he reveals his true self to leave the evidence altered against the Jedi.
What I find most interesting about this is that with this the Lego game makes a lot more sense. Revenge of the Sith hadn’t been released by the time the first Lego Star Wars game was in production so they probably went of the previs and deleted scenes, the ones in this video probably. First of all Grievous’ ship turning on its side and the characters having to walk on the walls is in the lego game but not in the final film. There’s also a deleted level in the game files in which Obi-Wan chases Grievous up and around the cliff wall which might represent the extended chase in this video. The clone troopers disguised as Jedis were also in the game and the setting at the beginning of the Anakin vs Obi-Wan fight where they see each other is also very similar to the Lego cutscene. The way Obi-Wan defeats Anakin is also much more similar to the pre-visualisation in this video than the Final Cut of the film. I think that’s pretty cool
I figured it was worth collecting the footage that was available. There is also more content from the early script that made it into the novel and a few concepts in the PS2 game, but this (almost) is everything public that was filmed so far.
Look at what’s happening around 11:00 that actually would have been pretty cool. ROTS was already a dark movie, Grevious was a dark killer, him trolling and abusing obi wan by launching dead clone troopers body parts at him with his vehicle is what he would do
Oh man. Yoda using the imperial guards as a meat shield against Palpatine’s force lighting was dope asf. They really shouldn’t of deleted some of these scenes
oh so Grevious can drive through a train full of civilians for fun but if I do it it's "the most horrific scene the world has seen in years" and a "desecration of human life"? No but seriously these are gems. Obi wan ripping out his brain/heart thing and popping it with the clock is hilarious lol

@JxmiJack Yea I get why it was cut, it’s a pretty unnecessary scene anyway, but they’ve done fast CGI-intensive scenes before so it wouldn’t be impossible for them
Honestly the Yoda vs Palpatine fight is way better than the one in the movie, yoda being the aggressor with yodas shadow looming over the emperor, as well as using the guards as shields would show how far yoda and the jedi have fallen and that they somewhat deserved to be brought down. The senate chamber scene is also way better in this version with the camera droids and tv screens on the top showing yoda himself what he has become. The lightning battle in the senate chamber would also show how far above the two are from everyone else in the aspect of the force. All of this going on while letting yoda win and be more or less the aggressor and the one with control could show that yoda was falling closer and closer to the dark side.
I don't think that the scene wants to show how evil yoda and the jedi became. Palpatine controlled the republic. The jedi always tried to help the republic, but in the end they just helped Palpatine. The jedi were tricked by the sith and the sith ended up replacing democracy into a dictatorship. The only way to stop this was to kill both Vader and Palpatine, so that they could try to rebuild the republic. So this scene shows that Yoda was not there to simply fight Palpatine, he was there to kill him. Because sometimes you have to fight fire with fire, even if it is not the jedi way. Btw Mace Windu also wanted to kill Palpatine, not because Windu became evil but because he knew if he doesn't kill him he will end democracy and destroy all jedi
Using the guards as a shield feels very out of character for Yoda in particular. I'm glad they changed it to him just "morning stretching"(for lack of a better term) to knock them out.
I understand why they cut it, and restructured the sequence as seen in the final cut (for more emotional impact around Order 66), but the extended Grievous' fight makes SO much more sense. Grievous' potential was wasted - this feels a whole lot more fleshed out.
I do appreciate that some of these moments were actually used in the Revenge of the Sith game. I never realized that those sequences were deleted scenes from the movie. Props for that, the game was and is quite fun. I still play it 😊
I find it funny the clones actually thought it would be a good idea to disguise themselves as jedi and actually try it, strangely enough i remember it being that way in the lego game when i was younger even though its a deleted scene
i think the one thing i can say about being a newer star wars fan that must hit diff than older star wars fans was plo koons death. I didn't know about plo koon while watching the movies. so his death was sad but just as sad as all the other random jedi, just to show the severity of order 66. But after watching clone wars and then revenge of the sith a second time, I completely forgot that plo koon died as I didn't recognize him the first time. safe to say his death the second time round fucked me. All I could think of was him saying "little soka" in his calming raspy voice. Really wish they did more with plo koon, he was such a perfect representation of what the jedi should be.

@JxmiJack fair enough I would be fine with either option as long as it didn’t feel forced (which is sometimes how it feels with the acting in Star Wars tbh)

I just mean I wish George would go back through all the archive footage he has and redo the effects for extra scenes. Cause apparently theres so much extra stuff that was shot that never came out as deleted scenes :(
George Lucas get back to work!
@@MechaSalesman where can I watch your 4.5 hour cut? Greetings.
The scene with grievous driving through the train probably would’ve been terrifying, especially for a kid. Honestly, I would’ve loved to see it fully fledged out.
That would have been a better way for the movie to earn its PG-13 rating
That was my favorite. The first time I saw it in this video made me hysterical. The absurdity of it all.
Crazy how there are two deleted scenes of shaak ti getting empaled by lightsaber ignition from behind
15:35 That scene of Obi-Wan violently ripping Grievous' organs out of his body and then shooting at them with a blaster is fucking brutal
I love the way they move in perfect sync with each other, finish each other’s sentences, banter between the two of them, etc. Anakin and Obi-Wan’s relationship has always been one of my favorites in the Star Wars franchise, so all this extra footage of them is really awesome imo. I mean come on listen to their little laughs after making fun of the battle droids at 3:49, how can you not love these two
Filoni fans try not to mention TCW challenge (impossible)
@@ulty1472 ASKDFSKF STOP 💀 in my defense it's a really good show 😔🥲
The deleted Palpatine vs Yoda fight is SO much better woah! I wish we got that.. It would've been epic!
There are still a lot of similarities, but I love seeing the conceptual ideas they toyed with. Showing the viewscreens was such a cool idea, though I'm not even sure if they have ever canonically been confirmed to exist.
Up until 26:00. After that bit, I prefer the original version, but the music and the fight before that was extremely amazing. I cannot tell you how in love with the music I was.
@@MechaSalesman the ending was better in the original movie Yoda just gives up and runs away I like the idea way more of him beating Sidious but not being able to kill him. Sidious still wins and yoda still loses cause he doesnt actually stop the threat
@@tetrainking9728 The original version makes it clear that Yoda is stronger than Palpatine, both in combat and the force. He first forces Palpatine to rely on his force powers instead of lightsaber, and then overwhelms him with his own lighting.. It's just that Yoda is smaller and lighter than Palpatine, that's why he fell and Palpatine didn't. Then reinforcements were on their way to aid Palpatine.
@@subeedeibaatar7113 no way. Dude. Sidious may have got his lightsaber knocked out of his hands but Sidious was way more powerful. The way he was literally throwing pods while simultaneously levitating one and moving around on it, he was much stronger than yoda with the force. I mean yeah the lightning causes an explosion launching them both back but Sidious also disarmed yoda's lightsaber with his lightning.
when you realize yoda is the one who actually wins the fight in this deleted scene .
and palpatine is the one who has to find the way to escape .
9:35 Holy shit, imagine this being as gory as the scene in Invincible!
It would have been too much they might have gotten an r rating
@@sweetpurple8812 I'd watch an rated R Revenge of The Sith.
@@ATruckCampbell I know but I think they were trying to keep it in the PG range, then knowing the burning scene at the end would already raise it.. they had to play the rest safe.
15:43 Brutal execution of a foe who was no longer a threat.
Yeah that very unjedi like of Kenobi
@@TheBlackAztec3 if not to say "uncivilized"
i love how Obi-Wan just runs over the clones with Boga being like "GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY WAY!!" ^^
I love how accurate Mace Windu was, even sensing in the force before anyone else. He said "I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi. The dark side of the force surrounds the Chancellor."
just release the supercut george, every true fan would buy
He won’t. Y’all can dream but it won’t happen
I actually would've liked the scene when Clone Troopers weared Jedi Robes just to trick Obi-Wan and Yoda in Coruscant in the final version of the movie
That actually happened in the episode 3 video game
@@taytmw18 yeah I oddly remember that from I think complete saga
@@taytmw18 and in Lego Star Wars The Video Game
@@trentoninnewjersey funny enough lego star wars came out few months before flim
It's pointless because all clones look the same.
Commander Cody: "Blast him!"
212th Battalion Trooper: "Is Order 66 activated, sir?"
Commander Cody: "No, but he ran over the clones!"
the meeting between obi wan, yoda and mace windu should've been kept in. Sooo good and adds so much to the plot
OMG The scene when Grievous trhow clone's body part is BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!!!
I Have waited a long time for this moment
I figured it was worth collecting the footage that was available. There is also more content from the early script that made it into the novel and a few concepts in the PS2 game, but this (almost) is everything public that was filmed so far.
25:05 Yoda's shadow in the back is the epitome of dread.
Shaak Ti dies to many times, lol obi-wan & Anakins hand motions/signals
You see her death in a TCW vision, in Lego form, and in Force Unleashed as well.
Exactly, i'm making a cut of the bad batch premiere & the siege of mandalore arc called: the fall of the republic
Ironically none of her deaths are canon, from what I’m aware
@@juniper4119 I thought her order 66 one was canon
girl did you see the scene when anakin killed her 💀
Can we take a second to appreciate how absolutely METAL the ending of Kenobi vs. Grevious is in this version?
The emperor/yoda fight is PHENOMENAL
Aayla sensing danger and wondering where the droids are only for Bly to turn on her... ouch.
Yep that's a reference to the novel and the comics but they changed the scene up to include droids in the background rather than make the scene come off as cold blooded and grimdark.
That alternative Order 66 is still pretty powerful ngl
I love how it gets more and more unfinished the more the scene goes on 😂
@15:33 My man rips out his lungs while alive, tosses them like a sack of potatoes, makes him watch while he then shoots his disagreed lungs, then finishes by Sparta kicking him off a cliff.
And Obi-Wan isn't a Mortal Kombat dlc character yet?
I’m so glad some of this was cut
The deleted Palpatine scape scene is really funny, considering that if Palpatine falls all of the years of planing will be nothing because he fucking dies
if Yoda comunicates Qui-Gon's force ghost delted scene was in the final cut, this would've explained how Obi-Wan and Yoda became force ghosts
True, but IIRC they couldn't get Liam Neeson to voice it. I believe it was excluded from Mecha's Supercut as well because this conversation gets covered in the clone wars TV show.
It is explained in the final cut. Yoda tells Obi Wan he talked to Qui-Gon who is back from the dead with more training for him
@@lane_mone video I found said he was in a motorcycle accident. It was a video on Revenge of the Sith video games.
10:58 Obi-Wan is like "dude...pls stop, thats mildly annoying"
Honestly. Obi-wan looks really bored in this shot. Especially the way he swings his lightsaber.
6:45 I’m so glad they decided to go with the holo table scene over this one, if they had used this scene then they wouldn’t have been able to tie Rex and Ahsoka into it the way they did
Well this was 2005. Also The Clone Wars ending was originally not going to coincide with episode 3
They literally retcon ahsoka and Rex if this scene was use they would still find away to retcon them in.
No one cares about Ashoka and Rex
@@trentoninnewjersey I know, you’re just stating the obvious for the sake of having something to say. If you read my comment you would have seen that I said they “wouldn’t have been able to tie Rex and Ahsoka into it the way they did”, meaning that the scene from the Clone Wars in which it is revealed Ahsoka and Rex were also present at the meeting wouldn’t have been possible if they hadn’t decided to choose this scene over the others 😊
@@thevaden2024 That’s quite sad 😢 it’s sad that you read this comment, found it disagreeable with your own outlook on Star Wars, and let it get to you enough that you went through the effort of commenting something that is factually incorrect and made yourself sound like a child who’s arguing with someone just for the sake of arguing. You may not care about Ahsoka and Rex, makes no difference to me whether you do or you don’t, but saying that nO oNe does is kind of sad bro
There's at least 2 more bits:
Dooku ignites his lightsaber and says "Just because there are two of you, does not mean you have the advantage" shown in the video game (IRL footage)
A pre-viz scene of Obi-Wan picking Boga because she won't be tamed by the Utapauns (once published on the SW website shortly after release.

The Train scene would have been amazing lol
Shak-Ti died so many times 💀
That whole Grievous chase would be sick to see redone with real vfx
@JxmiJack Yea I get why it was cut, it’s a pretty unnecessary scene anyway, but they’ve done fast CGI-intensive scenes before so it wouldn’t be impossible for them
Fucking grievous Man 🤣🤣🤣, instead of dodging the train he charged into it hitting and killing many innocents.
He really was pure evil
@@KeybladeMasterAndy i'll agree with you on that part, a lot of the unfinished story boards have jedi doing stuff like that
Yoda using Palpatines guard as shield is evil why? He would have to kill them too...
@@KILLERMATYCZ personally i like it cause it shows how far the jedi have fallen into hypoticty but i totally get why you would feel like that
Yoda seeing Luminara gunned down makes that scene so much more heartbreaking

Watching this and suddenly lego starwars makes a lot more sense
I understand why they cut it, and restructured the sequence as seen in the final cut (for more emotional impact around Order 66), but the extended Grievous' fight makes SO much more sense. Grievous' potential was wasted - this feels a whole lot more fleshed out.
The original opening part was originally planned to be an hour long
That yoda vs palpatine fight is way better than what they put in the movie
I do appreciate that some of these moments were actually used in the Revenge of the Sith game. I never realized that those sequences were deleted scenes from the movie.

No they aren’t. The PS2 graphics are leagues above this
I find it funny the clones actually thought it would be a good idea to disguise themselves as jedi and actually try it, strangely enough i remember it being that way in the lego game when i was younger even though its a deleted scene
i think the one thing i can say about being a newer star wars fan that must hit diff than older star wars fans was plo koons death.
Hi Dave Filoni
My favorite bit has to be the "cut away to anakin and padme" in comic sans at 24:51 I know it is just a place holder but man imagine if that was in the movie
4:35 everything here, the music and all would have easily been of the best parts for the music if sounds were implemented and good vfx were added in too. Just sounds so epic.
Yoda's CGI is beautiful.
I dont understand why some of these scenes were cut like the Obi-Wan and Anakin bits. Its exactly what he described their freindship in episode 4 with as little words as possible. Idk, i think that was a mistake George
A lot of these scenes are comically bad
Pacing, mostly. And not all those bits work(though "Roger, Roger" is pretty nice)
@JxmiJack I mean they’re friends who are joking around, are they not allowed to do that in the story? They’re mocking the stupid droids.
@JxmiJack Obi wants roger was nice anakin could’ve done a bit better then it would’ve been perfection imo
@JxmiJack fair enough I would be fine with either option as long as it didn’t feel forced (which is sometimes how it feels with the acting in Star Wars tbh)
All of these scenes should have been included. They add so much to the movie
