If you are going to drive an EV, BMW would be my choice every time! Not only do you get the quality, but then attention to detail that BMW has brought for so long. The new i5, and follow up other 2025 5 series models, are packed with new technology and features and was surprisingly fun to drive!

Definitely not a "DIY" vehicle for auto enthusiasts or personal customization (other than selecting computerized options)😂 I truly enjoy "wrenching" on my ICE vehicles so this will certainly be most appealing to the last couple generations of "gamers" and "programmers". 😊 I'd be interested to know what kind of selections BMW offers as their "servicing models" within lease options on these new EVs? ... because nobody will certainly be buying/owning these vehicles. I can see BMW offering many different "levels" of customer teaching classes as well as programming courses for users as well as turn-key😊 professional software engineer customization "service"! 😅
Having owned a Tesla? I will simply stay in-keeping with my stable of ICE-rides (four of which are BMW) ❤
I rented the hybrid 5 series and did not care for it. Plug in charge range is a pathetic 15 miles. Charge door was difficult to open; sometimes did and sometimes didn’t. iDrive was confusing.
Good to know for sure.. I still prefer ICE vehicles.
@@BMWDIYGuyElectric is the future. ICE will not outperform electric powered performance cars.

5 Series was going to be my next car, but not now. iDrive 8 is an abomination. Won't buy another BMW until BMW undoes iDrive 8 buttonless stupidity.
BMW designs are the worst in the industry. Even behind the South Koreans.
