I loved this video. My wife just got me the 2022 Master Geographic to commemorate 33 years of cancer remission, 3 years in memory of my Mom, and a significant milestone at work. This is my grail watch as I love GMT complications and I love the art , dedication, and craftsmanship that goes into making it. The video showing how they make it blows my mind.

JLC has never been underrated. Little known sure but not underated.
JLC has invented so many things in horlogery.
Their watches are beautiful. The Reverso beeing the most beautiful watch to me.
They are on the level of AP and above Rolex and Omega.
@Rashidul Karim No I also thing that they are underrated, I love that, if I’d have one and someone would talk to me about it they actually know stuff and it could become a very interesting conversation, but for the company it might be not so beneficial.
Everyone who actually knows a tiny bit about watches knows JLC, but most people owning a luxury watch own Rolex, AP, PP and maybe only maybe omega, within the broad market of customers they are underrated, amongst enthusiasts different story.

I have first watched this video about when it first came out I remember absolutely repelling the rectangle shaped reverso yet the concept was always something I really liked , 4 years later today that is a champion watch - it really goes to show how far i have grown with appreciating the beauty and craftsmanship of the uniqueness of the reverso.

This truly elegant trio, plus a swatch as beater watch, is everything a gentleman needs.
It’s the perfect same brand 3 piece gentleman’s collection. Very functional and carefully selected.
I love JLC. I have twelve of them in my collection - and wear them with equanimity. My favorites are the vintage LeCoultre pieces from the ‘embargo’ years, along with the DuoTime and the Reverso Duo from 1949.

The flip is not a gimmick. My wife uses it all the time if she is about to do something that requires movement such as moving a bicycle from the inside to the outside or unloading the car. It really does save the watch face if it gets a bump.

A superb video, I love how you showed a collection instead of just 1 watch, i think a portfolio approach like that is interesting. Personally if I were to go all JLC, I would go one level higher with and choose these 3 instead: 1) "Master Control Perpetual in SS", the size and thinness is awesome and not hugely more expensive than the Geo but a "superior" complication in many ways, practical for daily life. 2) "JLC Polaris Memovox", since Memovox is a hugely iconic JLC complication I feel you must have one. 3) "Reverso Tribute Fagliano Pink Gold", for the special occasions and also to differentiate and bring it up a notch, pink gold will work wonders.
Three magnificent choices. I can't find fault with any of them, and I particularly love the Polaris with it's inner countdown bezel.

thanks for this review. Great watches but too bad the Polaris has only 40 hours power reserve. I expect more from JLC. The reverso is stunning. I tried it on a few months ago. I was torn between the medium or the large version. The reverso is high on my wishlist.

NVM I found out that it's a Berluti 3 watch case made out of Scritto leather in Brown. The price is $1720.00!

My heart beats with each of its seconds
Almost the perfect collection. I would swap the Polaris for a Memovox. The Polaris is a bit of a disappointment at a large 41mm and only 100m water resistance with only 40 hr power reserve. Even a Black Bay 58 does better. I own the 1st generation Reverso Duoface and a 1950s Memovox Worldtime. I think the original Duoface looked better. The white dial on the original looks more classic art deco Reverso and the dark face side has a beautiful hand-chased guilloche and hobnail pattern. It was also very good value in the pre-owned market.The Memovox is probably the best underappreciated complication money can buy. The alarm functionality is infinitely more useful than say a minute repeater and relatively better priced. You can buy vintage Memovoxes for less than $3000 which is just amazing for the inhouse technology you are getting at that bargain price point. As for the Master Geographic, I almost pulled the trigger on it but purchased a mid 2000s Rolex Polar Explorer II instead, as it doubled as a GMT and weekend watch, replacing the need for the Polaris, which I believe is positioned poorly in JLC's sports watch catalogue. The only JLC remaining on my wishlist is the Tribute 1931 with the Fagliano leather strap.
the brand new polaris mariner memovox is great. It is huge but it looks pretty good

So much work goes into these watches, craftsmanship, hours and hours. And then, almost done, they have to decide which font to use. And what is it on the Master Geographic? - Times New Roman.

Good luck when you do send it in. I had the same watch and Richemont got me for $1800 and a 4 month wait for a basic service after 5 years. Upon return it was never the same. Accuracy worsened and condensation fogged the crystal even after simply washing my hands. Their new Polaris is a joke with a 38 hour power reserve. As good as an ETA. My Tudor Pelagos LHD is a better watch and this year I'm buying the Deep Black and Yacht Club.

hotdognobun ha! I have the rose gold Rossi that my wife wants me to sell as we’re building a house! I also had mine serviced by JLC in 2018 and it’s completely perfect, they know their watches regardless of whether it’s new or old so I wouldn’t worry about letting them service yours, as long as you go through the AD and it definitely goes to JLC!

Great 3 watch collection. I have a GP Laureato 42mm blue dial and a GP traveller GMT moonphase. Love them both. I am thinking about getting a Zenith to complete the 3 watch collection.
