That's what is so great about this new one! Luca Guagagnino made it to try to replicate the feeling people (like himself) got from the original. It''s a very different movie, but I really think it's a modern horror masterpiece. A truly excellent "remake."

I hope this movie doesn’t get the same fate as Hereditary, The Babadook, The Invitation, Elizabeth Harvest, Rosemary’s Baby... You know, thanks to people that just want the same “horror” stories with the same jumpscares and calling these kind of movies boring instead of putting attention to it and think about the hidden meanings and plot. Yes, this is a remake, but it looks like the good type of.

Lanamarana Bananarana I think this remake of Suspiria is better than the old ones (if not considering about the technology and ideas).This Suspiria 2.0 felt like modern day The Shining, the score, the cast, the cinematography, the script, the pace, it’s all amazing.
What "fate"? All of those named are (and are respected as) great horror movies. You think we, or the movies themselves, suffer or give a shit that teenagers don't get them, or like them because they're not "I Know What You Did Last Summer"?

With “fate” I mean backlash or ignored, because lots of people want the same generic horror movie-And yes, movies can suffer. If they don’t sell enough then studios wont want to invest in them, and will choose the same horror plot again and again; I don’t know what teenagers have to do with this tho, nor horror movies for teens like “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” I’m talking about the audience in general.

This movie is apparently filled with disturbing moments and it has a twist ending that will catch you off guard and make you rethink the whole movie. Check the Wikipedia page of this movie for proof, lol. The entire plot of the movie is on there.

All I see is dubler of Dakota Johnnson in every scene of dancing. I cannot see in this trailer any dance scene when I can actually see Dakota's face. I know she doesn't have to be the best dancer on the world, but Natalie Portman at least has practise balet for the role in Black Swan and a lot of dance parts she made by herself. Respect to her for that!
lagadema16 if you watch Dakota's new interviews about Suspiria, she says she spent several months practicing dancing to make the movie. She worked hard to make this character.

Remaking "Inferno" would be nearly impossible, since the original is so cryptic. You would have to come back to the "Three Mothers" scheme and create a whole new movie, inspired by "Inferno".
A "Mother Of Tears" reboot would be great, since the original is so lame and fails to connect with the first two movies.
I would pay good money to see this trilogy entierely rebooted, and since "Inferno" is one of my all-time favourite movie, I'd be very curious to see what they could do to improve on the original.
Maybe they will do, if suspiria have box office hits. I read somewhere that they do not have intention to remake inferno and terza madre. But who knows

the people in ''horror'' movies are dumb like in this one, the young dancer has a spirit trying to possess her and when she found a DARK and CREEPY hallway then obviously you walk into the hallway. WHERE'S THE LOGIC!?!?!?!
Perhaps because a spirit that has the power to tamper with your body and the very laws of gravity PROBABLY has enough power over you to nudge your own curiosity. Or because that's a reaction of some people towards danger: being "pro-active" even if actually useless (actively) helps to give one a feeling of control, while fleeing or remaining passive only furthers the level of panic.
Of course, the obvious reason would be "duh plot" but I'm trying to find internal logic justifications

Its about academy of dancing, and dancers start to vanish, at same time supernatural things start to happen. The main character is susan that will uncover the secrets. Suspiria is a remake of dario argento suspiria, that belong to a triology. Suspiria, inferno and the third mother.
