Its the worst show ever made in all of history and there is no close 2nd. When considering the money spent and the backing lore, its by far the worst thing ive ever seen.
At least the Galadriel and Gandalf scenes could still be viewed through the lens of very, very old friends going back to to the early days of the Elves. The forehead kiss isn't that far removed from when she kissed Frodo on the forehead, but Gandalf's plea to "come with me" was a definite step too far. But I'd take all that over everything to do with "Haladriel".
I unsubbed from Amazon already during Season 1 and I don't expect to EVER give them my money. Amazon gleefully slaughtered the best fantasy artwork ever and as the Dwarves say : "We never forget and never forgive".
@@astralarcher69 This is precisely the point. It was NOT the corporate greed. If it was corporate greed they would have followed the books and done an adaptation like P.Jackson which would have been massively acclaimed by dozens of millions of fans. The show would have been a MASSIVE success and corporate greed would have been more than satisfied. Yet they did exactly the opposite. Why ? Probably they are genuinely evil. Sauron like evil which likes to maim, destroy and corrupt all that is good.
This suffers from miscommunication, much like the acolyte, but to not to that extent. The real problem is Tolkien laid out a very ordered world where as stars wars is "very up in air" and open to a whole range of interpretation. Tolkiens works are far less forgiving. This whole premise is just Jacksons movies call backs and not even the books (except for Bombadil talking to the tree that Jackson gave to treebeard) but it is just very low brow with too many rolled R's. It tries to be Tolkien but only on the surface level and mostly just takes lines from Jackson like cheap call backs. It is fucking lame. But I am a mega Tolkien fan so I have to watch it even with venom spitting from my lips as I scream at the TV screen. Hey ho. Cool vid tho man, you get it.
Indeed. I would've covered The Acolyte, but just couldn't bring myself to watch it all. I think their constant callbacks to the Jackson movies is a clear indication that they do not have faith in their show. I do not understand adaptations that fail like this when there is a WEALTH of source material to draw from
This isn't "miscommunication", this is VERY DELIBERATE. It's the SAME THING happening IRL where everything is being turned into SH** using wokeness. This is an ATTACK.
No way I wouldn't go that far. But yea I have enjoyed it for what it is. It's like star wars in a way that I'm just glad that there's more content being made, BUT I'm on the edge of my seat hoping these people try and follow the books or the real Lore. At the end of the day it's expensive to make these shows and just want the Lore brought to life in live action.
When you love something or somebody and somebody else defiles and corrupts it, you feel hate. Who wouldn't ? Amazon defiled and corrupted Tolkien's work in so many ways that it can only have been done by design and on purpose. Only people who have never heard about Tolkien and who don't care about bad acting, messed up time line, idiotic characters and contradictory scenarios can tolerate this shait. And even then ....
Not really sure what else there is to say except "WHATEVER"
How do you feel about Rings of Power so far?
About the same as last season. Which isn't great

Awesome awesome awesome. You've found the perfect word for this. Love these vids!
Thank you so much!! This means a heck of a lot! Just released a vid today, hope you enjoy it!

I'm not really sure how you ruin an adaptation like this. The blueprints are all there, but corporate greed is unrivaled

@@wohargRadu Wow. I'm amazed that someone actually gets it.
@@wohargRadu True, sad but true. I'm so, so happy that we have the Jackson Trilogies. The Tolkein fandom deserved an adaptation like that

I don’t understand the hate on it, I’ve enjoyed this series far more than the actual movies

I have seen worse shows, that for sure, but the Jackson trilogies are nearly perfect.
But I appreciate your perspective
