I really enjoyed this final instalment. It’s warm, convivial, informative and visually impressive. I particularly enjoyed the fact it focuses more on the many interesting historical sites. The music works well too. ;)
The man himself! 👏 👏 Thanks again Adam for the use of your music. It really lifts the videos and brings energy and depth. Brilliant stuff, love it! 🎸 🥾 🤘
Watching your video brought back amazing memories of doing the trail the same year (August 22) during an incredible heat wave 🥵. Thank you for the uploads!
Loved this journey you took us all on.Always smiling 😃 😊.Justin thank you.Put the plates of meat up for abit fella. You take it easy till the next adventure 😀.God bless you fella !! Top man !.I tip my hat sir !!😉👏👏👏
Cheers Ady, you’re making me blush with all that praise! 😂 Plenty of other long hikes on my channel if you haven’t seen them. England and Scotland. Get stuck in fella 😉

Justin. Me and my wife have always watched your uploads, but this latest trek has been epic. Were now planning to do the Hadrians Wall path next year. Looking forward to your next upload. Take care. David and Val. 👌
Thanks David and Val 👍 It was an inspiring adventure and Adam’s music really lifted the videos. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, there are lots of friendly people on trail and there’s a nice atmosphere. Watch where you’re putting your feet! Justin 🤠
Justin, thank you for sharing. Another fantastic trip (and some Nuclear Brown Fuel, as we used to call it, at the end). The finale extension to the walk looked really interesting. Can’t wait until the next one. Best wishes 👍🏻
Thanks DS 👍 It was a great experience. Putting the best bits at the end with a good song worked very well. It’s similar to the trailer vids I do for every trail. I used to drink NBA years ago, tasted nice so I’ll have to get some more in the fridge! Cheers 🍺 🤠
I didn’t comment on videos until I started watching yours. I loved this walk and the fact that you carried on to Arbeia. We did the same and went to beautiful Tynemouth. We also spent time in Bowness at the start which is also stunning. Many people have been producing videos on their walks along Hadrians Wall including some good ones but this is the best. Your positive outlook and enthusiasm is infectious! What’s next? Please keep doing more.
Thank you David, I am honoured. 🙏 I originally wanted to end at Tynemouth Priory with the view to the lighthouse. However, when I read about Arbeia and saw a photo of the gatehouse I was hooked! What’s next? Well, for you, it’s to watch all my other videos 😂 I’ve got a few new trails prepared…. Positivity is powerful, spread it around 👍 🤠
Wow - that was really fantastic! First let me say I´m glad to see that you were visible happier - after sleeping in a hotel bed :-). And I definitelty agree with you that it´s worth to go the last 5-6 miles to the sea. That must really be exciting after walking from sea to sea! Congratulations - Gut gemacht! Hope to see more in time ...
‘Wow’ indeed! 😂 I told you the last day was good! Yes, the feeling of completing a Coast-to-Coast walk is fantastic. I’ve done 2 now. Vielen Dank! Alles Gute, Justin 🤠
Fantastic. Love the extension. I’ll be doing that. I was born in Co Durham but lived in Manchester all my life. I think it would be good. Do the same time scale. And get mrs Mac etc meet me on day 4. And all do the last stretch together. Cheers. 👌👌👌👌👌
It was a great hike Justin - enjoyed it mate. I'm chuffed you got to the Segedunum Fort and that they re-created it. It would be a bugger to see it covered in graf. Thankfully it's been spared. A well deserved drink at the end there. All the best. Mark
It was a memorable hike Mark. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 The recreated wall and gatehouse at the end were unexpectedly brilliant, whilst the ridge in the high country with the original wall and forts was truly inspiring. 👌 Even the little ferry crossing was a treat! Another great British trail. Cheers, Justin. 🍺 🤠
Amazing! Justin i am enjoying all your Video's I have never see Hadrians Wall like to thank you for let see this great hike.I live In Labrador Canada Know but was born In Aldridge, nr Walsall been in Canada for 31 years and yet i miss the great hike that i had never done but thanks to you Justin Amazing we all enjoy them looking forward to more. Dave
Hi Dave and thank you! It was an inspiring adventure. 👍 I was born in Bloxwich, Walsall and lived in Aldridge as a young boy, and I support the Saddlers! 🔴 💪 Small world! Justin 🤠
@@JustinWhiting9 Wow! I was born in Redhouse Lane went to TyningsLane school sister went to the grammer school and my Father born in Bloxwich Love all outdoors keep up the videoas i even brought a Lanshan pro 1 too lol Dave
@@JustinWhiting9 Question do you call yourself a Brumm or boy from the Black County me and my brother who lives in Aldridge was talking about this we are right on the border lol Know you have to a video off day hike at Channock Chase and Sutton Park, great history there great fishing at Sutton Park too lol to funny.
Thanks Daz, I really enjoyed this one. Inspiring on the ridge with the views and the history. The final day was a joy. I always wait for a good weather window and then just go. That's why most of my hikes are sunny!
Hi Justin, probably the best video of walking the wall I've seen! I'm doing the walk at the end of the month and would also like to visit Arabia Fort. It's quite a long walk from walls end and noticed you got a ferry. Do you have the details of where you can get the ferry from? Thank you, Lance.
Thank you Lance 🙏 Make sure you also visit the full size rebuilt wall at Wallsend. Go out the north gate from the Segedunum visitor centre, turn left along the road for about 200m, cross the road, it’s there. I’ll cover the ferry in another message.
Arbeia Fort, Gatehouse and Officers House are all brilliant! 🤩 A magnificent end to the trail. However, the extension to South Shields is not officially part of the National Trail so the acorn signs end at Wallsend. It’s 5 miles to the North Shields Ferry jetty off Duke Street NE29 6LG. Ferries every 30 mins, take 10 mins, cost about £3. From the South Shields ferry jetty to Arbeia is 1 mile but not obviously sign-posted. It’s in Baring St, South Shields NE33 2BB. From there to the beach is half a mile. I can fully recommend the Cicerone guide book for HWP by Mark Richards. It has everything incl. an OS map booklet of the whole trail including the Arbeia extension. From South Shields you can get a Metro back to Newcastle centre direct for about £4. Good luck! 👍
@@JustinWhiting9 Justin, this is amazing. Thank you so much! I just realised I completely spelt Arbeia incorrectly! Thank you once again and keep up the outstanding videos!

Another great video, thanks. Planning on walking this next year and this has really helped me decide to do it. How did you get back to Carlisle and where did you you leave your car? Looking forward to your next instalment.
