for someone poor like me, I bought and play with a $20 shoe at Walmart and they are the best shoe. I have to wear soft shoe b/c of my knees and these shoes lasted for 2 years and they were the only shoes I used for tennis.
Love this take. At the end of the day, if you find a product (racket, shoes, grips, etc) that fits you, then there’s no reason to change right? If anything, you’re winning because you don’t have to spend the extra money 😅 I’m here spending money and not making any!
Liked the honest review, would like to see more short-hand comparison tests once you try on more shoes. Also kudos on your Calves, you won the leg-genetics lotto!
Don't worry about the rust brother! I've been shaking off the rust for the last few years 😂. Finally moving my feet more and closing my stance... but hey keep at it and you'll get to where you want to be! Also Goodluck with residency! 🎉

That’s great point. Sometimes when I’m in the moment, I just lock in on the drill and focus. Thinking about too many extra factors can be detrimental but I also know it’s better for the audience. Will make a mental note 🫡
@@KevinHsiehTV value wise gel res 9 is better, but I do love the stability and comfort and looks of the vapor 11s. I just use the tennis warehouse 6 month warranty to buy the vapor 11s and used the usta tennis warehouse 30% off to buy the shoes also I do feel like performance wise both shoes are very comparable (to me at least)
All I’m going to say is, the current tennis economy is terrible. Bring back the 6 month warranties where they made an expensive sport affordable… the ruining the audience
The new tennis shoes now has a sock type lining that makes getting to the shoes hard to do! I return 2-3 pairs because of is from Adidas and Nike brands.😮

Love ur contents man. Nice to see ur channel growing. I’m here in Seattle too, hope I run into u on the courts and give me pointers on my game. Got some videos on my channel too.
Roger pro is not a bad shoes at all. The first version wears off like 5-6 hours hard play time. The vapor 9 wears off like 15 hours in comparison. Vapor 10 may wear like 30 hours out sole but the top will break in 15-20 hours most. So the v1 is good but super expensive compared to its life span. This v2 made changes to enhance its weak spot . Some gain , some lose. It’s a good to have but not good to depends on. ASICS solution speed is a better choice.
I agree. At the end of the day, different shoes feel different for everyone! I have an update video explaining why I don’t like the On Roger’s. They ended up cutting up my foot :( but that’s just me
@@KevinHsiehTV none of those shoes are perfect; shoes are more expensive each year but performance and endurance may work the other way. We just have to choice the must to have feature and live with un perfection. Nonetheless, Roger pro is good only if money isn’t an issue.
@@KevinHsiehTV none the less, I bought about 4 Roger pro v1 and just placed order for three more v1 and one v2 before out of stock. Nike taught me that good shoes won’t be there forever. The ON roger pros are lighter than the Asics Gel Res, but not by much. Less than an ounce difference. However, I'd prefer the form factor and make of the Asics. I posted a show review update on the ONs for people to see why I dont like them anymore.
Man, I'm turning 37 this year.. 😂I used to be able to play 2+ hours and still could keep going. Now I can barely stay alive and upright after 1.5 hours (Texas humidity fml). I thought you were hitting fine man!
Appreciate the support!! :) you’re telling me. Did you just see me dying after 3 minutes of drilling?! 😂 I also cut the 30 minutes worth of breaks we took. Power of editing LOL
I have played on the first version of the shoe for the past few months and you’re not mistaken: the traction is a bit too strong. For me, that’s a huge negative and has led me to injure my ankle ligaments when attempting to slide… won’t be buying them again, but great overall shoe
Hey Donnie! So my stringer told me the current weight of my racket strung and with lead tape sits around 320-325 roughly. Obviously each racket is a bit different but I have a decent amount of weight at the top
@@KevinHsiehTV thanks bro. Surprised your racket is so light for a 5.0 lol. I guess your form is good so you can play with whatever weight. At 4.0 anything lower than 325g gives me stability issues then i start swinging with my arms instead of using my bigger muscles like the legs and hip rotation, body weight transfer etc
Completely agree! I do an update review on the ON tennis shoes and they aren't my favorite. I also happened to do a video with the mizunos and these are probably my favorite shoe
The Roger 2 Pro is massively uncomfortable. The toe box is too narrow for normal feet. I have blisters on both feet after 2 hours of play. It is nothing like the previous Roger Pro shoes. I do not recommend these shoes.
I posted an update video where I agree with your thoughts! I got the worst blister on the side of my pinky toe. Got very self conscious about my movement. Ended up doing more research and noticed that it was a common problem

which one better clubhouse pro or pro 2?
