  • When we think that the father of medicine said - "Let food be thy Medicine". we can easily see how far we have drifted from this. Medicine is now only medications and surgery and doctors do not even study about the healing benefits of foods. Like this recipe below, I will focus on the benefits of these wonderful plant based foods. This is what Mother Nature gave us to eat- these foods are real medicine, meant for our bodies.
    Quinoa and Millet
    1 cup Millet, rinsed
    1 cup Quinoa, rinsed ( to eliminate bitter taste, soak 1 to 2 hours) Quinoa can be cooked without soaking too.
    1/2 teaspoon sea salt
    5 cups water
    1/2 red pepper, diced
    1/2 teaspoon dried Basil
    1/2 teaspoon dried Sage
    1 bunch asparagus, sliced in 1/2 inch pieces
    1 bunch Italian Parsley, minced
    Preparation:
    Soak the Quinoa for 1 to 2 hours to eliminate small bitter taste. If you don't have time you can go ahead and just rinse the Quinoa. Rinse the Millet.
    Put the millet and quinoa in a good size pot with the sea salt and 5 cups of water. Add the rest of the ingredients except the Italian Parsley and bring to a boil. Then lower the heat to simmer and cover the pot.
    Do not stir during this time. Cook for 30 minutes.
    At the end of 30 minutes, add the minced Italian Parsley and stir well, mixing all ingredients well together and enjoy.
    Note: Next day to eat again, to reheat just steam in steamer basket for a few minutes and enjoy once again. Remember, eat along with either a raw salad or steamed leafy greens and some kimchi or sauerkraut.
    Benefits of Quinoa
    -generally strengthens the whole body, specifically tonifies the kidneys.
    -it has the highest protein content of all the grains.
    -it has more calcium than milk.
    -it is higher in fat content than any other grain.
    -it is a very good source of iron, phosphorous, B vitamins and vitamin E
    Benefits of Millet
    -it is beneficial to stomach, spleen and pancreas.
    -it is very alkalizing - this is important as we always want to be more alkaline than acid.
    An acid body is a sick body.
    -it is anti-fungal.
    it is good for better digestion.
    Benefits of Asparagus
    -anti-aging wonder
    -it is the most adrenal supporting food in existence.
    - it helps to bring you back to balance when your adrenals have been maxed out.
    -like millet it is very alkalizing and good at ridding our bodies of acids.
    -high in silica and trace minerals, like iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium, phosphorus and chromium.
    -it is high in very absorbable vitamin B, which we lose quickly under stress.
    --asparagus contains phytochemical compounds such as chlorophyll and lutein that act as very important organ cleansers (liver, spleen, pancreas, and kidneys - cleaning out the toxins they find there.
    -every asparagus was once on its way to becoming a small tree - powerful energy.
    -it also helps with recovery and prevention of neurological disorders and symptoms.
    Benefits of Italian Parsley
    -it alkalizes all body systems fighting acidosis .
    -Italian Parsley alkalizing skill is helpful in preventing and battling every type of cancer.
    -it is also an adrenal booster like asparagus.
    -it is a pathogen fighter and keeps bacteria, parasites and fungi at bay.
    -it also helps to giving us a more balanced state of mind.

      Thank you for your support here on UA-cam. My daughter was my wisdom teacher. I am hopefully sharing information that I would of been looking for myself over 40 years ago to help my Bree live as long and healthy as possible. I appreciate your support.

    I am allergic to quinoa! I get terrible aches in my intestine

      Please check out my video on ION as any stomach issue or allergy is some form of leaky gut. In the meantime use Brown Rice and Millet, okay

      I’ve been eating all the different colored quinoa because of you, with greens 🥬 from the older videos 🥰
