So glad little "burrito" Ed (credit to @PhillipChase) could join us in this video! And congrats on the Brothers' best month ever. I'd like to credit Ed's awesome dad jokes, but really I think it's having the lovely Sadie on, plus Cressida was also lovely and that was a great video as well! Either way, well done to you guys and I look forward to watching the channel hit 10K subs soon!

    🌯 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I read In Cold Blood as a teen for my 11th year English class. The teacher only gave us the first 2 chapters for homework over the weekend... but I read the entire thing. It's been a few decades but... I still remember it being quite a compelling story. Horrific and yet, to this day I still for some reason have some small empathy for Perry in the end.

Little Ed wrapped like a burrito to keep you company really elevated this video, Will! 😁 So glad you picked up Murder at Spindle Manor, which deserved to win SPFBO 9. Hooray for Tolkien and The Battle of Maldon - you have excellent taste! I hope you’ll continue to recover well, and congratulations on the stellar month for the channel!

Wish you Good Health Will and good to hear May was a great month both reading wise and for the Channel! Very excited to get to Giles Kristian’s Arthurian Novels, “The Battle of Maldon” and of course “The Fury of the Gods”!
In May I finished “A Wise Man’s Fear” (Kingkiller Chronicle #2) by Patrick Rothfuss, the final two novels in Jack Vance’s “Lyonesse” Trilogy (Arthurian Fantasy), “Ash: A Secret History” by Mary Gentle (Alt-History/Fantasy inspired by the Mercenary Wars of Late Medieval & Renaissance Europe) and the “Sun Eater” Novellas & Short Stories by Christopher Ruocchio up to “Demon In White”! Cheers! 😊

So very glad to see you have read In Cold Blood! Capote is a fascinating character all on his own. My mother read this to me in late middle school and it really affected me. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I might try out the Arthurian trilogy mentioned here. My coworker and I have been reading through Arthurian based stories together,, which is funny because neither of us really enjoy traditional Arthurian tales. We’re heathens, we know. We did love Warlord by cornwell though. That’s been our favorite.
Some highlights of May for me were The Heike Story by Yoshikawa and my reread of the first two books in Legend of the Gaiactic Heroes series by Tanaka. The Heike story was a good introduction to the story told in the original epic though sadly Yoshikawa’s retelling remains unfinished. I have the Penguin classics edition of the original. At the time I bought it I felt too dumb to read it but now I think I can handle it. LOGH by Yanaka is a light novel space opera series which I really enjoy though I’m not sure it was necessary for the author to describe exactly how attractive one of the main characters is every five seconds. In the second book he mentioned how his laugh sounded like precious Jems clinking together or something. Might be the translation but it’s pretty funny. I’m reading the third book now.
I’m almost finished with the Demon Slayer manga. The pleasure district arc which I read in May was fantastic and might remain my favorite. Might be a good place to jump on the manga bandwagon which seems to have taken over.
    Well Happy Reading!

I am reading This River Awakens by Steven Erikson, but I want to read a book you mentioned a while ago and the name i can't recall. Its about english peasants in the 1800s and i think it was a required reading in Uni.

Oh no, so glad you’re feeling much better. I may have to order the Giles Kristian Arthur trilogy books from Amazon UK as they seem difficult to locate in the US. Intrigued by your videos about them.

I ordered mine from Blackwells in the UK with free shipping. Haven’t read Arthur yet but loved Lancelot and Camelot!
