Adam is by far the best male contestant that they've ever had on Idol - and they've had some fantastic ones. I think everyone fell in love with him right after his first audition - and KNEW he was something special. I've had the honor of seeing him a few times in concert - and on his Queen tour. Just as good live - absolutely fantastic performer and singer. He's his own icon now.

In this season final he sang with Queen. He lost the show and the band invited him. But he persued a solo carreer for a while, before accepting the job!
He is incredibly underrated. He fronts Queen and has his solo work. Check out the Kennedy center honors where he does Believe by Cher, made her tear up. He's great live, there's a lot out there to find.
How can you be underrated if you've been 10 yrs fronting the biggest rock band in history and sold solo over 4 millj.. tv, acting and sought after like crazy.. just stop!

Even though he didn't "win" on American Idol, he "WON" anyway! After American Idol, and before he joined Queen, he had some hits as a solo artist, the best being "What Do You Want From Me" that was written for him by P!NK!

I still love this performance so much - anything Adam Lambert sings turns out amazing (I mean, you can't go wrong with that incredible, unique, versatile voice!), but here in particular he really shows off his glam-rock style. Love him

And he's just gotten better and better over the years. I believe this is the performance that made someone who works with Queen email them and say: this dude your guy.
Adam Lambert changed the landscape of American Idol forever. With his rock/emo looks, his creative approach to music/staging, and his rock vocals, he elevated the show as someone more fully formed as a performer. Next season's auditions brought out rockers, emo types whereas previously it was the boy/girl next door, singer/songwriters, folksy, pop types. Many tuned in (including me) each week to see what Adam would do next. He sang a beautiful, emotional rendition of "Mad World" (Tears for Fears) and got a standing ovation from judge Simon Cowell, who was always stingy with his praises. Robert plant would have been fuming if a vocalist destroyed one great led zep track on a music comp in USA but he produced one of the greatest performances i have ever seen as a wannabe. Of course now, adam lambert is in my opinion one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time . he matches Freddie Mercury in entertainment value as i have seen both of them live now. Aura on stage, charisma,.I hope that he goes on and on....Laurie Liverpool

He won second place on American Idol in 2009 and was widely admired, but the first network appearance on a music awards show, he kissed a guy on stage so all the corporations got scared of a public backlash and they pulled all of the support out from under him, they wouldn't promote him. Brian May and Roger Taylor played and Adam sang We Are the Champions on the finale of American Idol that year. After that, Roger and Brian offered Adam a few gigs as a front man. After those few gigs, they asked Adam to front for them in the future. Which he did and still does over a decade later as well as writing his own music and putting out several albums. Extremely talented and (I hear) a very nice man.
His voice has matured and he’s even better now.

I must have called-in voted for him 100 times. He is so versatile! His arrangements were always so unique and arresting. "Mad World" and "Ring of Fire" are worlds apart and so good.
One of my favourite singers, he did 3 or 4 albums before joining Queen, one of the most powerful voices I've heard in a long while 🤘❤
This is subjective of course but there are many people (including Roger Taylor and Brian May of Queen) who feel that Adam Lambert is the finest male vocalist currently living. I agree. Before a bunch of you leave me hate comments, notice that I did say currently living.

This is such an old performance his voice is even more unbelievable now, he recently sang opera at one of queen’s concerts. This was the first time Led Zepplin ever okayed a song for idol as they didn’t believe the previous contestants who had requested would do there songs justice. You should check out who wants to live forever from Isle of Wight festival, either Rodger or Brian said (I can’t remember who) said they had never heard the song sang the way Adam sang it that night.

It's obvious why Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen chose him as a front man to continue Queen's music in honor of Freddie Mercury. If you're curious what the more controlled side of Adam and Queen sounds like, look up Adam Lambert and Queen, Isle of Wight 2016, "Who Wants to Live Forever". Blew my mind when I saw this.
Oh my god, I would think that anyone doing music reaction videos would know who Led Zeppelin is. One of the greatest rock bands to have ever existed. Is the idea with these videos to come at so fresh, without any research or any preconceived ideas, so that you're able to give the most honest reaction possible? That makes sense, for sure. But at the same time, there's just a giant piece missing for me that you don't know, Lee. I'd heard of them but never really listened to them the were before my time initially and when I was a kid, I was doing kid things, I only really started listening to music in the 90's and it was the music that was current at the time lol, thanks for watching and thanks for the comment 🙂 the idea is to definitely come at the videos without pre listening ( unless I'm doing a cover song reaction then listening to the original is a must for comparison purposes)

Found your channel through BTS and I'm catching up on your videos and I'm SO HAPPY that you like Adam Lambert!! I watched this season of American Idol for him, I actually watched the episodes of the show Glee when he was a guest star because he somehow made that show bearable, and his songs and performances with Queen should get ALL the attention!! His voice just keeps getting better through the years!

A few song suggestions for Adam. You will get a lot of requests for Who Wants to Live Forever with Queen at the Isle of Wight and singing Cher's song Believe to Cher at The Kennedy Center Honors. They are really must sees! I want to suggest a couple from his last album Velvet. He performed both for the James Corden show. Closer to You he sang with just a piano accompaniment on the show. He sang On the Moon from his home with just a guitar accompaniment for the show during quarantine. Both songs really highlights his phenomenal voice. All four songs always gives me the chills. Hint, hint... it's time for another Adam reaction. 😁

Adam is great. I saw him with Queen when they did one of their first shows together in London in around 2011 or 2012. Brilliant concert. I already knew him from his solo stuff before that. I think he was born to sing Queen songs though, the songs are perfect for him and he really does them and Freddie justice. You should listen to something more recent by Adam too as his voice has matured a lot since American Idol. It's fuller and richer now. Glad you've reacted to him, a great artist. For Queen + Adam Lambert, you should definitely check out “Show Must Go On”, the version from their “Live Around the World” album and definitely “Who Wants to Live Forever” , absolutely The Isle of Wight version. This version was performed the night after the Pulse Nightclub mass shooting. QAL dedicated this song to the victims and their families. Brian said that Adam’s performance here is one for the ages. For solo Adam, “Superpower”, the one with the official video, is a lighter touch. Thanks for what you do.

Exactly WOW!! Adam is an absolute machine. I feel that aside from his work with Queen, he has never had the right songs to really show his full potential. I think his voice is made for Led Zepp, Deep Purple kind of music.
