It is finally time for my new young grizzle & pied racing pigeons to leave the nest & Mum + Dad (Snow + Mr Beast) and venture into the small pigeon loft to start weaning & getting ready to start trapping these new pigeons!
Hopefully within a few weeks we will have them up in the air flying with the rest of the flock, well whats in there so far!
as we only have Jon snow + barless hen in the flying loft & all the other birds are sitting on eggs. The next lot of eggs that are going to be hatching are from my blue bar hen & PewDiePie! pretty excited for those young to hatch!
I also pick up my new racing pigeon rings for all the new young birds i am going to be breeding for my race team, i get 40 new rings and i am keen to get them on some birds.
I also let you guys know i am going to be picking up another young bird soon, which is from the red bunter cock bird i had and also crossed with the blue vanloon hen! its going to be great to get this chick into the loft!
Hit subscribe as over the new couple of weeks i will be starting to build the new sputnik trap for the pigeon loft and will also give it a good old spring clean before to many birds get in there!

Finally where have you been????? ahah the red is still at my friends house in the nest there he is letting me have one of the young birds when its old enough so hope we can go pick it up in the next week or two and i will make a full video of the new little chick!!

I am thinking of putting her with MR beast, once him and the white hen finished breeding, so maybe next month he can be locked up with her, the white hen needs to have a break now.

Like any pigeons they are only as good as the amount of work put into them, not as common for people to put alot of work into coloured races hence there not being alot, few guys here in Australia put alot of work in and do get good results with colours so takes time, here our breeding is in 2019 and racing is in 2020, so birds are rung with the 2019 ring and they are branded PRF (Perth racing pigeon federation)
Just an idea, during the breeding season (or when your weaning young birds) you should split the racing loft in half with a thin piece of wood or something that slips in/out so they won’t get attacked by the older more territorial birds. Just an idea? Love your flock. That blue pied YB thoguh😍😍😍 keep up the good work!🏆🎉
Yes thats a good idea, i was thinking of splitting the loft in 2 with a sliding door, would help for weaning ybs and also splitting hens and cocks later down the track

How often do you put ACV in the water and Garlic oil in their feed.
maybe twice a week, i need to get into more of a routine with it, i forget sometimes aha

@@ManeyPigeons Yup.. inspired by ur work.. my current loft is in bad shape hence makin new 1.. tryin to build somwht similar to urs. but breeding boxes will be smaller then urs n inside the main loft.
Me too that pied hen is going to look real striking up in that blue sky when she starts to fly, I can hardly wait Man.

can you tell me how big your box perches are?
i am pretty sure they are 35cm x 25cm, i wanted them square but had to fit the most into the loft aha
and i think they are 15cm deep
