You place a short pillar on the outside just past where you put the tires, then a short x2 floor on bottom , creating a lip to add a second set of tires on bottom that are below your first set. This keeps from tilting
Built this in creative and went back and forth from arctic to desert about 5 times and the track broke. Glad i didnt waste the time gathering resources for this in survival

i love the planes in this game, not such a fan of the rails tbh, they are very restrictive, i liked your previous plane design if you could more variations of that one, with similair concepts but larger or different or with a bit more secure side thrusters that would be great imo.
there's nothing I can do to stop the side rails from glitching, doesn't matter how secure I make them things just break. the best planes are the ones you turn with weight or doing the drop method and pushing the non attached object
there's a build limit, once you reach it the options are building an elevator next to it but just don't connect it and then build a monorail that continues right next to it. or get a world that has closer biomes

My thing goes so fast as I put so many thrusters on that it just breaks through the tire wall and I don't really want to get rid off any of the thrusters as I want it as quick as possible any suggestions?

Keeps disappearing for me when I spawn into the world. Works fine after it's made but as soon as I come back pieces are missing or entirely gone. I've lost an entire house with chests full of high level gear. Really irritating.
Because I want to build from my grass land to the desert biome but there is an ice biome in the middle so can I build around it or do have to build in each biome and „connect“ the monorail with space in between?
make sure you're connecting it to 16x4 blocks underneath starting dynamic foundation. if nothing helps I'm working on another monorail build atm that doesn't use 2 dynamic foundations

Do you recommend adding anything to cusion the platform as it comes to a stop at the end of the rail? Or is it ok to just let it ram right into the stopper/wall?
I let off the thruster before reaching the end. Colliding probably isn't a good idea without a working cushion. I haven't tried doing that aside from one time. I placed tires and as soon as I collided with them it broke a bunch of stuff. I'll experiment and see what can work though
@@OhDough through further testing I've also come to that realization lol one little change you could implement is when placing the 16x2's in between the foundations is to not have them flush in the front for easier repairs. I've noticed when having 2 sides for back and forwards traveling theyll stay stuck together so if those 16x2s ever break and you need to place a new one they end up snapping together with the other side's 16x2's and fusing them together. Saves some stress time and resources haha.
Tried it 4 times now but i get stuck and destroyed the hole thing in the first part, trying to remove the 4x4 by hand lol I aim at the small piece but it’s just tearing down the whole thing

atm you can't get extra bag space, it would come down to just taking what's super important and putting what you don't need in chests at a base for later while you gather what you need. they will probaby add bags (MAYBE) in the future, it just depends

I’ve built multiple of these monorails in survival to traverse between my 3 villages in each of the biomes, works a treat and nothing ever breaks. Even added chests on too

nah, track would take like 400 wood or stone, that takes 10 minutes to get. I recently had like 60 silk fabric for the balloons but if you put them in a chest in the open world and a building collapses on it, everything in the chest goes away. so rip that

I have quite literally never broken this except once. I used a foundation block underneath and a thin flooring instead of just double foundation. I also recommend the 16x4 or.... wait until tomorrow. also, try these things out in sandbox to make sure you get everything right

Guess what? It breaks like the reat of them either after 3 trips or a server reset. All these videos every time... Waste of time and resources in survival until they fix these mechanics. This game is in beta and they released it as "complete" with barely any updates.
@@OhDough maybe youre playing a different game than everyone else but i cant build anything that moves with out 50 different things breaking for no reason just today a peice of the track decided it didnt wanna exist anymore and the cart fell to oblivion and gliched thru the map with a bunch of blasting powder on it... in survival. then i rebuild the cart waste a bunch of materials and it just doesnt wanna move with thrusters i can push it fine thrusters do nothing lol. just endlessly wasting materials. the game is almost unplayble at times.

Dont do back and forth too fast. About 5 times will break the track due to friction. Wait for 20 seconds before moving back or else the track breaks.
I wish _I_ had tested it in Sandbox 1st. Went through 2 models, both of which met their ends in terrible tragedies…

You need to put it on the foundations then nudge it to line up both foundations has to be symmetrical

@@panzerswinefluit’s not an engine issue it is a coding issue. The game is running on Unreal Engine, it is a highly derivative Fortnite build.
Everytime I build this in survival using the foundation for rail it breaks the rail foundation as soon as I add the bottom foundation.
How? I built it in survival twice recently and never had an issue with the rails

My issue is not really the monorail. It's the ladder to go up there. If it got destroyed, everything will fall down.

16 flexwood
9 granite or wood
24 wood rods
18 blast powder

there's a build limit, you might be able to build from the opposite direction and connect them some how but it might be a rough thing to test.

The train breaks if it collides with the end of the rail going fast
these all makes frictions and eventutaly breaks down. the best option is to make a track for a go kart ;)

I made the double wide and it’s working fine except it only goes one direction. How do you make it go back the other direction successfully
make another mono cart that faces the other direction and run them into eachother.

All in all the design has been working well so ty! I've also taken the simple design to use for my aircraft as well :D
Built the 4x16, and all trusters and activation switches broke once one hit with the other :(

Chests on the monorail is a game changer
so many runs to the sand dunes at night to farm for boom, now i can rest peacefully knowing i wont log on with a fallen monorail

however you made the first one, make a second one facing the opposite way. that's how I do it
When you use them both they they’ll just end up stuck at each side, you have to break the boosters and replace them on the other side

the cart should slow down super fast if you disengage the engine

Hold the snap button I had this issue aswell on controller it’s L2. But it will say at the bottom of your screen it’s called like snap mode or smt
