Cool assessment Mike! Personally, I just appreciate how Sabine actually trained with a light saber head to head with Kanan in the past. None of this is completely out of left field. Sabine is a seasoned veteran of multiple conflicts on Mandalore, various operations on Lothal, skirmishes at Imperial strongholds, & a great pilot. If Sabine is force-sensitive? I believe it might reflect Chirrut Îmwe in Rogue One. He wasn't a force-user but through faith in the force, training, discipline, & focus He could tap into abilities non faithful couldn't.
Agreed. Just like how Marie San Tekka (from The High Republic) is a unique Force-user in The SWU, being a Force Savant, who can only access the Force well in pretty much 1 way/manner; and Lyra Erso is a Force-sensitive, but unable to manipulate The Force, only being able to sense its existence and its relation to her and the rest of the galaxy. Now, Maz Kanata, being just over 1000 years old, and seeing all manner of things within the known galaxy, she (by her own volition) knows The Force, and can, on certain levels, wield it. That's what makes The Force so great: It's not necessarily 1 power and 1 way of being...it's a spectrum of power(s) and manifestations...just like The Dark Side Of The Force is not a one-dimensional way of being...hence, Dark Jedi, The Drengir, The Nameless, The Nightsisters, The Sorcerers Of Rhand, and The Acolytes Of The Beyond, to name some.
OR...compared to Shin, Sabine's understanding of, and ability with, The Force, pales in comparison to hers. If Sabine is truly unable to access The Force in a meaningful way, WHY does she appear to be attempting to fend off an attack from Shin, with her hand up and out? I guess We'll know, for sure, on August 23rd 2023.
Sabine does have those Mandalorian fighting braces though. Something Shin Hati may not be familiar with. Lure Shin in closer then Sabine hits her with one if those gadgets.
That is a great point with the training mask. If she wasnt force sensitive at all she wouldn’t use it to train. Im definitely convinced shes going to be force sensitive now!
I noticed this too! The Force theme played while Sabine fought Gar Saxon in Rebels. She might be latent or her Force connection dormant. Hence the helmet to help Sabine tap into her Force sensitivity.
I think she will be able to use the force, but not in a way that we have become accustomed to. As you noted Kannan says the force resides in all living things, but you must be open to it. You have to be able to connect with others you have to let your guard down, and Sabine being a Mandalorian and what happened to her that made her leave her home, makes it extremely difficult. As we know there has only been one Mandalorian Jedi, Tarr Vizzla, that we know about, so maybe the Mandalorian culture of being a race of warriors makes it hard for them to sense the force.
@@aguywholovesstarwars I am soooooooo excited, Ahsoka has been a favourite of mine since I first watched The Clone wars movie and then the series. I love her determination to always overcome obstacles and prevail. She may not see herself as a Jedi, but to me she is the perfect Jedi. Always willing to do what is right rather than adhering strictly to the Jedi code.
Let us please remember the force is in everyone and one can be trained(for years) to use force sensing abilities. But it takes a high amount of midicholrians to the other crazy force abilities.
@@aguywholovesstarwars Yes that is my belief and it is very plausible. And we can’t forget the long when Kanan said that Sabine’s stubbornness(being mandalorian) blocked her access to the force. However I remember a discussion with some guys and we theorized that it could be possible for someone who doesn’t have a high midichlorian count to forge a strong connection to the force using deep meditation. I also personally think the idea of force sensitivity is quite outdated since with the proper training like chirrut one can connect to the force since it is in all living things
One can become force sensitive at any time If the will of the force allows it... Luke Skywalker didn't learn until he was in his late teens... Darth bane didn't Become force sensitive until he was in his 30s so yeah I could happen at any time if her mind is open to it and we know her mind was starting to become open to it...
I don't understand why so many people are confused or upset about this idea. There have been signs that Sabine is at least slightly Force sensitive since her very first introduction in "Art Attack" and at numerous other points in Rebels as well.
@@aguywholovesstarwars I know right?! It would also help to explain her growing bond with Ezra thru the series. They weren't just growing more comfortable as teammates. Remember how even Zeb didn't know what they had done to the stolen TIE? lol I think they started to form a slowly growing Force Bond of some sort.
No she won’t she isn’t force sensitive but she will be a great saber dueler. Ahsoka will train to Sabine’s strengths which are being tech savvy and an explosives expert. This will make up for her lack of force. Jengo wasn’t force sensitive and was astute at besting jedi. I think Sabine will be a great jedi dispite not having force. No where does it say that jedi have to be force sensitive.
I don't think Sabine has the Force. There has been a great deal played up about Sabine training ti be a jedi. I don't think she is. I think she is training with Ahsoka to do the following: -substantially raise her lightsaber skills -strengthen mental focus -sharpen other senses (hence training in the mask) Yes, the force resides in all living things but not in all living things equally. Hence why not everyone has jedi ability. Sabine is not force sensitive but she can benefit by jedi-style training. As far as Sabine calling Ahsoka "master" people should not read too much into it. Look at Ahsoka's expression Sabine calls her "Master". It is an expression if annoyance. Sabine was being sarcastic, as she has a tendency to be. Sabine is a Mandalorian, trained in weapons and hand-to-hand combat since she vould walk. She has great athletic and acrobatic ability but it's not force-driven. Why would she be doing this. I would guess the answer lies in that holographic message from Ezra we see Sabine watching in the trailers. "I need for you to see this through!," See what through? My guess is that "this" is the intensive lightsaber training from Ahsoka. Ezra appeared to think that a) it would be difficult for Sabine being non force-sensitive and being stubborn. And b) "this" appeared to ge very important to Ezra. I can only speculate that Ezra had some sort of force-induced vision where he saw Sabine, Hera and the others in danger from yet-to-be-seen force users. Kanan is dead and Ezra is far away unable to protect or defend any of them, especially Sabine. So he look leaves behind his lightsaber and leaves a message especially for Sabine to seek training. Sabine needs to prepare for what is coming for she will be enemies equipped with lightsabers AND have force abilities.
She better not. She already is a Punk, Princess, Mando Armor wearing, duel pistol, gadget, jetpacking character made to sell toys to little girls. Just make her Rey at this point.
