Did mine this past weekend. Yes, the springs were a pain! Especially if you have all new hardware included with your pads. I had to put the pads on prior to installing back on the rotor. Pins were almost seized.

Yeah, I’m wondering why that cause the brakes to wear so fast the pins sticking. It was similar on the rear brakes.

Did you have to replace the rotors as well or just pads?

It’s always a good idea to replace the rotors or even have them resurfaced. But if you don’t have any pulsations, and the rotors don’t appear to be grooved, you could get away with just replacing the pads. I’ve done it on my personal vehicles, but I wouldn’t do it on a customers vehicle.
