They forgot to mention that one of the rouge members of the McCray family ran away to Texas in the 1840's to be a Ranger. His name was Augustus, and there is a fictional story written about his life called "Comanche moon" or something.

There are iceboxes in swedish museums from the 1790s that was used in Stockholm. So claiming that someone invented them 100 years later is a little off.

If you sell said old ice box don't pawn it for Heaven sakes You'll lose your rear - end ! Sell to a collector or someone willing to pay you a fair price for it.

Tip for negotiators never start with the price you want, let’s just use this guy for example he wanted like 4 grand. He should of started at like 5 grand. It helps a lot and makes the buyer feel accomplished.

Why wasn't Corey asking about the autographed Dark Sign of the Moon poster behind the dude? At least ask if the signatures are real or something, am I right? Get him talking about it go back to the ice box and come back to the poster after the first deal is done.

qwe qwen Rayarena Frigidaire sold a retrofit for McCray ice boxes turning them into refrigerators. So it’s still perfectly useful. All a refrigerator is, is a compressor, evaporator, condenser, and a couple of TXV valves. So if you know what you are doing you can build most of that out of copper pipe and silver brazing solder.

By the early 19C the Americans were cutting ice in winter from the North, packing it in sawdust and shipping it worldwide where it was kept in giant, insulated icehouses until summer rolled around. Then it was cut up into standard blocks of 25, 50 or 100 pounds and sold to icemen who delivered it to people's houses. Towards the end of the century, machine made ice was available but the icemen still delivered it to houses. Domestic refrigerators arrived in the USA in the 1930s and in Europe the 1950s.
