Ive been trying to figure out how to get to my fuel rail to make room to replace my injectors and found this video. Finally progress, this was a great video
damn so even though this is a N63 engine the layout is crazy different on my 2013 750i. my tried taking out the wheel well wall and go at it the same way you did but on my car the fuel pressure sensor is relatively easy to access from the top of the engine. i still had to remove the intakes and follow the fuel rail towards the back firewall its right at the end of the rail. but your absolutely right there is not a single video on the n63 explaining how to replace the fuel sensor
i have f02 750li too and want to replace the high pressue fuel sensor. do you know how may this kind of sensor out there? i suppose only one but guys talking about each side so looks like there are 2 of them, can you confirm for 750i or Li? is it easy to replace it? you got any video for that? thanks!
@@everforexcanada5663 while it is a different layout the majority of parts are all the same as far as where they are at. There is 2 hp sensor's one on each fuel rail. But for me the left passenger side was the easiest to replace the right driver's side was an absolute bitch especially having to locate a 18mm wrench but once you find it it's really just an awkward removal but easy enough to do.
after I opened my tire arch f02 2010 750li, the sensor is behind of the liner, but full blocked by the dme electric box. so I am stuck, I need find another day to remove the dme box, undo coolant pipe and open the tire again to access the hp fuel sensor. in your story, did you really change the hp fuel sensor? because mine and yours should be the same f01/02 modal. i believe the sensor close to the firewall you did was the low pressure fuel sensor. do you confirm?@@jrpcoins
@@everforexcanada5663 yeah so the high pressure fuel sensor is connected to the back of the fuel rail on both sides so if your able to remove most of the intake and other hoses you should be able to reach it but it's extremely awkward to do
Can you access the pcv hose clips by removing the wheel and trim on the drivers side just like you have shown from the passenger’s side? Thanks so much!! Julian
@@chiefr31 Oh man, when I got this x5, immediately changed all the maintence items and replaced ALL the plastic trim and cowl pieces, all seals in the engine compartment. It looks factory new. Unfortunately, most folks don't think about the engine trim, cowl and seals and they end up with water ingress which lead to way more expensive repairs. Luckily I am OCD and I do everything no matter how insignificant it might seem.

Great job. Thanks for sharing
Is it the same process on the other side?
Hello, what error code did you had that pointed to faulty sensor?
Hi, do you know if I can do the same prossedure to replace the high pressure sensors for my S63 engine on my 2012 M5?
Why did you replace the two in the first place?
Does this applies to the 550i do I have to take wheel cover off aswell

Yes, absolutely.
does this apply to 2011 X5 35idrive?
Great video. Is the fuel sensor the same as the 02 sensor? If so, is that bank 1 sensor 2? Thanks so much! Julian
No they are totally different things.
How much miles on your 50i?
I got it at 88K miles and now it has 108K miles. Jan. 31st 2021 bought. Jan 24th 108K miles.
Bank 1 fuel sensor is that left or the right?
I am not sure. I just replaced both according to my scanner information.
Turns out that oil saturated the sensor i replaced it and i had the dreaded water intrusion from broken cowl

@@eduardoramirez5943 bank one was on the left
Is this the same location on 2010 gt 550i
I am not sure. I have not worked on that year.
The drivers side is a completely different animal.
