This might be the best product in the world on a work bench. But I bought some of this and no matter what I used to try to spread it it clogged up. I killed a $200 Milwaukee pump, 2 water spray nozzles, a garden sprayer and 2 watering cans (with 1/8” holes drilled in the nozzles). I literally resorted to pouring 5 gallon buckets of this stuff (10 to 1 dilution) down the driveway. Very disappointing. I have a 600’ driveway and I had high hopes. Nope.
Shawn, according to our records you purchased 1 - 5-gallon pail of HS on Sept 9th, 2021. It is now 2 years later and far beyond the shelf life for this product. Most all asphalt products have a shelf life of 1 year or less which is most likely what happened after 2 years. It also would have been nice if you had contacted us right away, we would have been happy to work with you.

You’re right that I purchased the product long before I used it but it would have been nice if the bucket had some sort of label on it. It literally has no marking of any sort. Just a plain white bucket with a green lid. I’ve been struggling to use this product for the last several days and today was the peak of my frustration. I’m willing to give it another shot and revise my rating if you’re willing to send me another bucket.

You could, however larger aggregate or chunks should be removed as they can cause raveling. Using a super heavy roller ( 5 ton or larger ) most likely would crush larger peices and provide a decent looking surface.

Would it be great to use a roller covered with sharp nails to perforate the fileings before soaking it?
Roughing up the surface will aid penetration, especially on inclines. Our new improved formula does penetrate compacted milling better.

Wouldn't it be very expensive to require that much solution for a glues tight surface? I'm talking 200ft driveway
