I dig the way the little tips popped up on screen, definitely adds a little something to the production value. It's true that touge cruising is a common thing in car culture, but I think it's because of the pretty scenery and lack of red lights/traffic. And some people I've talked to simply do not feel comfortable trying to test the limits. So while we may be a minority, isn't that for the best? I feel that we get enough unwanted attention from the keepers of peace as it is.
+Highway Dash Yes, I see it as a blessing in disguise. I haven't really encouraged others to pursue the battle scene since it will naturally attract people who want to improve. This video was more of a way to share our thoughts
ohh look who is alive!! I really love your videos, they give alot of tips for driving i am 16 still not old enough to drive here where i live, so it really helps. I hope you do more and dont dissapeir again!!
So many Japanese manufacturers are pushing CVTs as the future standard transmissions. Listening to this and seeing how the car performs. I would rather ride a bicycle than this. It's horrible, the sound is atrocious.
I really like the important notes in the top left of the screen, they really enhance my understanding of what you feel whilw driving which is normally something i dont understand in other peoples videos, keep up the good work and editing guys👍
Thank you! Half the fun is sharing what we learn with other :) A lot of car reviewers explain how fast a car is, but not really what it feels like, and that is something I would like to work on
Hawk HPS are a similar price and they won't fade as quickly. I'm not sure how long they last, but the EBC Green Stuff gave me the least seat time compared to any other brake pad I've used.
3:19 You say that, but you can completely charge a "dead" (15% or less capacity) hybrid to completely full in as little as 2 miles depending how steep the grade and how slow you need to go for the curves. That regenerative braking system is not as helpful on hybrids as it is on PHEVs or BEVs because of capacity.
For starters, the Greenstuff has too short of a lifespan for how much it's worth. I don't have a mileage breakdown but the front pads lasted about 3 months for me. Usually that's fine with me for soft compound but the amount of brake fade I get makes it nowhere near competitive on a technical mountain pass. During our tests, my stopping distance would increase significantly after ~3 miles of hard driving (about 4 minutes). Its initial stopping distance is good at the beginning, but it disguises its flaws by having a sharp initial bite point (which is terrible for brake modulation anyways). As a euphemism, the Greenstuff is like hiring a bang maid with gonorrhea
Hi ! in like your videos, you seem responsible and passionate ! I have a little question, can a pothole make you lose control/traction ? (Sorry for my english)
Yes it can Rafik Larek! A mid-corner pothole will cause you to lose traction, and will also upset the balance of the car. I frequently have to slow down for mid-corner bumps dips and potholes.
God, these are the worst. Some local roads of mine recently developed rows of shallow potholes along the most used "path". Trucks, ice and poor maintenance, as is often the cause. Not a problem for most drivers, but at higher speeds with lower profile tires and stiff suspension... It just shoves the car out of line.
Love the videos and the tooltips in the corner are brilliant, can i ask what gloves your using in this video? Im sure you did another video on it but these look a little different, i ask because my hands sweat like nobodys business i mean drink spillige levels of palm-based-leakage. Thank you
Both are great, so I'd say whichever platform you want to improve at! In terms of performance potential, there shouldn't be a big difference. I believe the drivetrain layout speaks more to the handling characteristics than the overall performance potential. This is because many factors like tires, suspension geometry, power, etc, have a much bigger impact. My choice for this coming year is RWD, as I have historically driven FWD. I also want to practice drifting so that makes the decision easier haha.
+Number One Noob I would practice in the drivetrain layout that I'm worst at. I would lean slightly towards RWD generally since it helps train your throttle modulation more
You RICERS always crack me up. Civics are not fucking fast and even the top trim sucks. If you want a fast car, go M2 Competition, WRX STI, Mazda 3 Turbo, AMG CLA, Genesis G70 or Kia Stinger GT. Your Auto Zone fake intakes and weedwacker exhausts crack us up.
Why don’t you guys drive a manual car atleast, it’s easy to go hard on a automatic car. Can’t give tips on driving when you aren’t even actually driving
Shifting is only one facet of driving. Yes it takes more practice with a manual car, but there is plenty to focus on and practice with an automatic car. Driving an automatic is a great time to practice left foot braking for instance. If you'd like to see some manual driving, you can check out the Miata Uphill and Downhill runs :) We'll get more manuals in the future!

How do you guys manage with the police? Also where in the world do you normally drive? Is it in the US or in another country.

Thanks you for the support! As it seems, I didn't dissapear so far
CVT for touge. Common.
That engine gon blow
The engine noise is sooo annoying to me personally. Sounds like it's dying haha
The engine noise is important, go drive a prius bro
Yah it's a bit gritty lol
Vitox I think he’s just talking about the engine noise from this specific car bro
Kypcia I wouldn't be surprised if it IS dying

CVT's have a long way to go before they can truly before they overcome their heat transfer issues. But for now, cheers to a healthy lifestyle 👌

One of the best roads in mexico, very niice.
I always wonder what tire you have to use for spirit driving during winter? Not summer, not all season , snow tire doesn't sounds right either
I too enjoy the pop-ups on today's video. As always, thanks for the time you take :-)
Please coninue with the tips and advice in your videos! It helps me with my touges and really keeps me entertained during the video
Great to hear!
Since you said never to buy EBC GreenStuff, what are brake pads you could recommend? Loving your Videos!
Hawk HPS are a similar price and they won't fade as quickly. I'm not sure how long they last, but the EBC Green Stuff gave me the least seat time compared to any other brake pad I've used.
i noticed it got progressively slower, at one point u were flooring it n it would go up 1 mph like every 1.5 seconds

Why are the EBC Greenstuff so bad in your opinion?

lol thx for your advice, I was about to buy them for my car but now I think I will study some other options
i hear that Ace Combat 5OST
The poor civic is like aaaaaaaaaa no more pls aaaaaaaaaaa

And of course, in the winter, a bit of *gravel* or *wet-leaves* at the wrong moment can be very exciting as well.
Dude, when it comes to driving, you guys and I have the same minds😱
Respect im a year rounder i dont do ta untill mid may though but its good practice nothing beats seat time
Good video driving with a hybrid Honda Civic.
Thank you Hongfei

Are you guys doing this on a private road cuz there's no cars
+Jay Oher There's cars in this video 👌
Fwd or rwd for touge/mountain run? In your opinion
+Number One Noob I'll get back to you on that in a few minutes, since I want to hear Speed Saint's opinion first
Ridge Chaser is speed saints usually your co-pilot?

And yep we film together a lot.
man you guys are lucky, the mountain where i live is always full of cops...
+Raul Perez It's usually a traffic density issue. Hopefully you can find a good road away from the population (which may be far which I get)
is this colorado
It's possible! 🙃
I would love to see ridge chaser tackle the tail of the dragon
Turbocharged_ Evolution I plan to drive it, but I've heard it's a traffic heavy area nowadays. Will it be safe enough?
it's fine, just don't go during the tourist hours in the on season. come down on a weekday later in the afternoon.
i would be scared posting videos going over the speed limit.
So happy I picked the non racist version
Jk
Non racist commentary??
Yup
Thats an 8th gen. Also Get an intake on that thing man! sounds so much better.
Will certainly look into it 👍
blew up my r18 from touge. i dont recommend this car for spirited driving 😥
I love it
Fasted FA3, but its a fucking auto CVT, sit your ass down lmao!
You RICERS always crack me up. Civics are not fucking fast and even the top trim sucks. If you want a fast car, go M2 Competition, WRX STI, Mazda 3 Turbo, AMG CLA, Genesis G70 or Kia Stinger GT.

Ill just pull the extra 30k out of my ass then don't mind me
this is such a joke. driving gloves in a shitbox cvt hybrid “touge”
If you ever get into the touge scene you'll understand that it doesn't really matter what type of car you drive, it's how you drive it.
@@RidgeChaserthat blunts guy probably rides the bus lol, nice driving

First view :)
Why not manual?
We drive what's available at the time. This one just happened to be automatic.
