Thank you SO much for this video! I started on Poshmark in November and decided to put 3 items on Ebay last month. I immediately was turned off by the steps being separated. I just kind of forgot about it and now one of the items has sold! I'm on my way to buy packaging while listening to this video.

Shipping info slightly incorrect. You can pay for labels from pending funds on managed payments. Otherwise great info for newbie sellers. Well done 👍

Wait, I assume that newer ebay sellers will probably not be able to pay out of those funds because they will more than likely be on hold for awhile? Do you know?
@@cayleyelaine Yep, You can. On the left side when printing your label towards the bottom there's an option to pay using MP pending payout or PayPal.
@@cayleyelaine according to the help page below "If you're a managed payments seller, you can use your Processing funds to pay for USPS shipping labels, as long as you have enough funds to cover the cost" I'm not sure if new sellers are restricted or not. Hi hiiii😊 I believe its about 29:30 you talk about require immediate payment with buy it now. Is there a way to set that for every listing automatically or no ? It has to be done one by one. Tysm for creating this video it really helps !!!
Hi!! 😊 once you start listing with that check box checked it usually saves your preference for the next draft. However, ebay is in the works of making everything immediate payment so hopefully that will take into effect soon and you won't have to worry about it.

How convenient was this video, very. I just started listing items this past week. I just sold my Calvin Klein Trench Coat. So I guess I will watch your ship video to see how that works. I will check out the info Ebay has on shipping as well if I need to after watching your shipping video. Thanks for another great video. My items sold on an offer to watchers I sent out.
Oh my Bomber coat is still in limbo because of the scammer I told you about earlier this week. I turned on unpaid item assistant. It hasn't started anything with that order yet but it is set up to initiate 4 days after the item sold, so maybe it kicks in tomorrow, today was the 4th day.
If it doesn't kick on you may need to do it manually if you initiated the automated assistant after the sale had happened.

Ebay takes time. How long ago did you start your store?
Here are my best tips:
1. List daily, even if it's just one. Ebay needs consistent listing.
2. Send offers to watchers
3. Take bright photos with uncluttered backgrounds.
4. Only source items with a high sell through rate (check Ebay solds before buying)

Would you give advice on the “specific recommendations” in a video. I heard if this is not done by a specific date your listings will be dropped.
Yes that's true. I believe that date is February 22nd. I wouldn't wait for a video I would start cranking through them so you don't lose your listings. Do you have a store? You can get through them pretty quickly on the active listings page.

I would recommend managed payments. I usually do buyer paid shipping but have experimented with free shipping. I'd say get an understanding of how much shipping costs before you offer free shipping.

Not everyone is on managed payments. I still get everything through PayPal
I think you will be required to move to managed payments within the next month. Have you gotten any messages about it? And I believe anyone who signs up for ebay will be automatically put on managed payments.

@@cayleyelaine yes it looks the same. I had a different system before but then it said I could upgrade to the seller hub for free so I did. Not sure why it let me lol

@@danceluvr30 I just signed up for an eBay business account and it showed me the seller hub as well I didn’t pay for anything so I guess that’s free? I have been on eBay years and years ago and it looks and works very differently now. Haha. Trying to figure this out. Hopefully I won’t make too many newbie mistakes
Everyone gets a free seller hub. It just has different features (a store tab for those with stores, listing limits, etc) based on your type of account. But they all look very similar because most of the basic features are the same for everyone.
