Playing many shows in different genres will definitely get your music skills to grow quickly. Definitely recommended.

I won't bother you with the details but this was exactly what I needed to hear today. Thanks Andrew.

Great story! I'm not a drummer, but I do have a win that comes from pushing myself to do something I didn't feel confident in. I'd been applying for jobs and never getting interviews, and I heard from a friend who'd been offered an interview but had just got a different job. I was getting desperate so I went to the interview instead of him, explained that I wasn't who they were expecting but thought I could do it anyway. They gave me the job (possibly for chutzpah!), and I stayed there for nearly 9 years - they'd have been happy to have me longer but I needed a change by then. It's not something I'd recommend as SOP, and I can't imagine now how I ever did it, but it's a demonstration of how thinking sideways can get you past some barriers.

Hey Andrew, that was a really good account of career building. I can relate to a lot of what you spoke about. Some of my most rewarding times in music came when I built my own studio in the basement of my home and began helping young talent develop original material. It was a lot more fun than being in a band cause sometimes that can suck! The most noticeable problem you have right now is that the steering wheel is on the wrong side of your car.😆 Just kidding!

Hey Andrew. New sub here but I have watched your reactions to rush many, many times. I have been asking people to react to my suggestions for years and it hadn’t happened yet. For me and for you, please react to Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir 2007 Live at Celebration Day at the O2 Arena in London. John Bonham’s son Jason(who was 10 years old when his dad died in 1980) is on the drums for this one off concert. Jason just kills it as does Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and of course Jimmy Page. If you don’t have chills throughout this performance then there is no blood running through your body. When this concert was announced, they had 20 million requests for tickets in the first 2 hours when only 20,000 tickets were available I believe. If this doesn’t end up being one of the best performances you have ever reacted to I will eat my hat and one of your drum sticks🥴. Scott B.
