Who are some of your biggest sleepers in this class?
Dalton khecnt and Cody William.Dalton is easily the most nba ready one of the best shooters can create his own shot and not bad defensively I understand his age but that doesn’t mean he won’t get better he reminds me A lot of klay Thompson but without the defense
Cody Williams concerns are a bit overblown especially his shooting not saying he will be an elite shooter but I don’t think he will be a bad shooter either I don’t think Cody will be a star but I can easily see him be similar to jaden mcdaniels but better offensively i understand the lack of aggression and physicality but i think a part of that was the team and his injury and he can get more physical
@@Wrestle_Kingdom Totally agree on DK! I’m a little but hesitant on Cody but I can totally see some real nice intangibles.
A little unrelated to the video, but on the Clippers ideal offseason video I left a comment detailing the roster I would like on the team, but after some thought I figured there could be an even better scenario for them and decided to opt for a roster that looked something like this.
PG - James Harden
SG - Paul George
SF - Kawhi Leonard
PF - John Collins
C - Myles Turner
6th: Russell Westbrook (PG)
7th: Kelly Oubre Jr (SF)
8th: Lonnie Walker IV (SG)
9th: Andre Drummond (C)
10th: Jalen Smith (PF)
11th: Amir Coffey (SG)
12th: Bones Hyland (PG)
13th: Brandon Boston Jr (SF)
14th: Kobe Brown (PF)
15th: Kai Jones (C)
Depth Chart:
Point Guard - James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Bones Hyland
Shooting Guard - Paul George, Lonnie Walker IV, Amir Coffey
Small Forward - Kawhi Leonard, Kelly Oubre Jr, Brandon Boston Jr
Power Forward - John Collins, Jalen Smith, Kobe Brown
Center - Myles Turner, Andre Drummond, Kai Jones
Losses:
• Ivica Zubac, Norman Powell, Terance Mann, Mason Plumlee, Daniel Theis, PJ Tucker, 2030 second-round pick
Trades:
• Ivica Zubac & Norman Powell (LAC) for Myles Turner & Jalen Smith (IND)
Incentive: Indiana gains a legitimate high level scorer off of the bench to pair with TJ McConnell in Powell as well as a 10 rebound per game center that’s improved significantly at defense in Zubac, who is more of a lob threat imo for Haliburton than Turner. They lose the 5 out starting lineup but Zubac is a better center than Turner down low in the paint and typically takes advantage of size mismatches, being one of the highest in the league in FG%. On the flip side, the Clippers get to finally play a 5 out offense with Turner and Jalen Smith provides adequate size and strength at the backup 4 spot. Smith can also space the floor out. Obtaining Lonnie Walker can fill this hole for the Clippers bench at the SG position.
• Terance Mann, PJ Tucker, and 2030 second-round pick (LAC) for John Collins (UTA)
Incentive: Utah gets to take on Tucker’s expiring contract while also securing draft capital and getting to utilize a Terance Mann who more than likely would start on the team. This also allows them to move on from Collins while obtaining more than what they originally traded for him, simultaneously freeing up Walker Kessler’s starting spot. For the Clippers, Collins is the perfect athletic starting 4 that they need to fill that gap for Kawhi so there will be less of a stress load coming into next year.
Acquisitions from free agency (vet min):
• Andre Drummond, Lonnie Walker IV, Kelly Oubre Jr
Honestly, I’m all for this if this means no more Ty Lue small ball lineups.

I need to ask your opinion on Zach Edey is guy is a beast. I think he should be the number one or two pick in the draft. Why are so many scouts are not taking him seriously? And thank you for the video.
Of course! Well to be honest his archetype of player just doesn’t really work in the NBA. The reason he is getting consideration now at all is because he both improved athletically and he is just literally that massive.
The college game is pretty… dumb to say the least. Because of that they allow simple things to go unchecked. When we watch the film these teams are missing steps 1, 2, and 3 of how you would stop a guy like this so then when all that’s left if a 1v1 of a guy that much bigger than everyone else he gets to dominate.
Now obviously not many people are his size in the NBA either (if at all haha). But they are gonna be big enough to where you can’t just give it to him on the block and let him go. He’ll need to move to get open. Then you worry about athleticism and stamina stuff. I do think though that given his willingness to improve in certain areas he can have a role in this league. I just don’t see it as a big one, but he’ll be a unique weapon if nothing else.
@@_AVC_ We really don't know how a player of his caliber works in the modern NBA. The smallball revolution happened after all of the generationally skilled giants had retired, and it worked to play second-rate low post scorers off the floor. We have no idea how the modern calculus that made pace-and-space work would apply to a Shaq, Yao, Wilt, Kareem, etc. There are highly effective offensive bigs who dominate in the modern NBA, but either they thrive at scoring in a lot of different parts of the court(Jokic/Embiid) or they have the ability to attack the paint on their own with their handles(Giannis). Edey might be good enough to break through the limitations of a traditional big man as understood in the modern NBA, he could develop more skills and become a star along the lines of more modern bigs, or he could just be a really good rebounder and offensive PnR big. I think his stamina is at least good enough to play typical starter minutes, and he'll at least be a functional drop coverage big, so I don't see him as just a gimmick or bench player, and for these reasons see him as being both a high floor and a high ceiling player.
@@heavylobster4339they’re players who are very similar to Zach Edey not the exact type but very similar in the nba
@@heavylobster4339 Love it. I certainly hope you are correct!
I hope we take the swing on Castle. I’m very high on Charles Lee after seeing what that Boston coaching staff is doing in the playoffs. Giving him a POA defender in Castle would be amazing.
Like as the Hornets you’re saying?
He won’t workout for us, he thinks he’s a pg
@@_AVC_ yea sorry lol
@@dylanhall9595 I’ve heard most NBA people aren’t taking that seriously and that he’s not viewed as a PG. At the end of the day as long as he doesn’t say he won’t play here then I’d still draft him.
@@Daniel_Barbie Lol all good. Yeah I love the idea of him there. Even if he doesn’t 😅
Have you done your own mock draft yet where you predict the first round/lottery
Doing that the week of the draft most likely! I might even add trades to it 👀.
I would agree that the Rockets would trade the pick, if there was somebody worth trading for. Mikal Bridges doesn't do much for me, except stunt the growth of Cam Whitmore, Tari Eason, and Amen Thompson....and you have Dillon Brooks on the books for 3 more years. The one position the Rockets don't need is wings....and then centers. As for a point guard, the Rockets are losing Aaron Holiday to free agency, Vanvleet only has 1 guaranteed year on his deal (I believe the 3rd is a team option)....at 40 million a year, the Rockets either turn down the option and let him walk, or they offer an extension at a lot less per year. Amen Thompson can play point, but played a lot off ball in year 1. The Rockets need a true #1 option, and until they figure that out, they shouldn't be wasting a bunch of their draft capital on a glorified role player, who puts up #'s on a bad team. If you trade all those picks, it better be for a superstar....and there's not a superstar available. Donovan Mitchell is not a superstar, and if you look at Mitchell's combine measurements when he was drafted, he's smaller than Reed Sheppard, can't shoot like Reed Sheppard, and couldn't jump like Reed Sheppard. Unless they get an offer they can't refuse, the Rockets should keep the pick, and pick the player that is obviously the best fit for their team. Other than Clingan and Knecht, Sheppard is the only rookie that looks like he could step in and play day 1. Everyone else will need time to develop. And who says Sheppard can't improve his game? Get better at ball-handling? At defense? At shot creation? He's a high IQ player, who's biggest weakness is his size and length.
Oh yeah you’ll never see me say people can’t improve their skills. The size thing worries me just because I’ve done a lot of body evals in my time. Not sure the Mitchell comparison one is a great one, that’s a whole different level of athleticism but I see the point you want to make. I sure hope he works out and just starts cooking mfs though!
Lowkey..any player could get drafted any spot. Yes team needs matter more yet many teams have no "consensus" opinion on only 1 for etc #pick..
It’s certainly gonna be a weird draft!
Ðurišić mentioned!!!! This mock draft is actually corrupted by bribery and subterfuge. Big Ð OBVIOULSY goes at 26 to the wizards (they are attracted by his fit to team culture (not playing defense)) enven I know this 😒
Haha there ya go 😂😂
What do you think of Charles Lee taking care of the Hornets and what can we expect next season?
I don’t personally know him or that staff. I don’t know any current players well either so I don’t know. I hear things obviously but I don’t like to hold much truth to things unless I talk to em. Sorry kinda a boring answer 😅.
Devin Carter prolly got a lottery guarantee from the Kings. Hey desperately need defense & if his jumper translates he can run the bench unit with Monk (if they keep him) & he can play with Fox
I could see that. I like him in a lot of places.
3rd pick goes to Nets in exchange of Mikal
I’m listening…
There's another French big guy not draft rated, Zacharie Perrin PF FROM: France HT: 6-11 WT: 220. Performance write ups look very promising.
I actually did an ideal offseason video with him!
Reed a project? Look elite shooting and hustle D is not a project. Sure he has learning to do, but he will contribute day 1.
My ceiling comp on Reed is Stockton + a bit better shooting, rebounding & D (vertical).
You can count on the Rockets shopping #3 (so what your inside scoop...does not mean they are serious about trading the pick) a good GM will explore all options.
My Top 3 Mock
Sarr
Clingan
Sheppard
I would define a project as anyone that isn’t a day 1 starter in the NBA. That’s just my definition.
I’ll continue to say I’m concerned about him defensively. You can hustle and have all the smarts you want but physics tend to win. Especially in a league where 99% of players are pretty smart.
The example I give people is, take me. 6’5 220 college PG/SG. Is he a better player than me? Hell yeah 😂. But when the ball starts swinging and I get my first step, I’m running through a guy that much smaller.
I really hope he finds all the success in the world and I do think he belongs in the league. I just don’t see as high of a ceiling. But hey if he starts lighting everyone up I’m so here for it!
@@_AVC_ I don't see your statements as always valid. Painting yourself into a corner gives you time to ponder.
For that matter...I would define Whemy as a big project who gets to start day 1. So, would you call Harden a project on Day 1?
All rookies have learning to do...some more than others. Plus being on a team that fits them is a huge difference maker.
I can honestly say that I never played team ball, but I have been a Rockets Fan since 1972. In all that time I have been witness to an Association that has been full of smaller players (in their position) deifying physics. The Round Mound of Rebounds, The Dream, Chairman of the Boards, Calvin Murphy, Chris Paul and FVV...all ex Rockets that were small for their position.
Reed will be just fine (I just hope the Rockets select him) and I would love to bet you on this. You feel like eating Crow?
@@NOJSIP Like eating an actual crow? Is that like an expression? Haha
Also I don’t know if I understood the painting metaphor 😅.
@@_AVC_ Funny...sure I would watch you eating a crow...Okay Fez...You know that is bad juju according to Hyde.
@@NOJSIP Yeah I got no idea what you’re talking about now 😅
So stupid how you skip so many picks. Just show them quickly if anything. Even if it’s 3 seconds. Just show every pick
Some guys aren’t as interesting to me, just would be me complaining the whole time.
Topic to Heat, let's hope so, srećno Nikola
Ayyye I dig it!
I believe that the Wizards had the fastest, or one of the fastest, paces in the NBA last season. Also, the Wizards point guards (Poole, Baxter and Jones) always feed the ball to the open player.
They definitely played fast, they didn’t have much other structure going on unfortunately though. I do believe that Jones/Poole look for open guys (Poole more so in P&R but still), but I would still say it’s considerably below league standard.
Jones is a normal PG (offensively, in defence he is horrible) but he probably won't resign. Butler is talented, hopefully he can develop to be a second unit PG and not third (hopefully he won't be cut because they might do it if they have more then 15 players (unguaranteed contract)). poole isn't a good PG right now, he was just disaster as SG and playing with him as PG at least ment he stopped being the interference). The Wizards might draft a guard, maybe on a higher pick then 26 (Kuzma trade).
@@user-sl1xk5jt3m I could see that.
Read a report that the raptors are trying to trade into the lottery and that there was a guy in the top 6 they wouldve really wanted
For houstons pick is there any way a bruce brown + pick 19 + 31 deal gets taken seriously 😅
It probably should be. He isn’t the player they probably want but it’s an interesting offer nonetheless. Wonder who Toronto wants? Maybe Clingan?
@@_AVC_ im hoping its clingan 🙏
@@Htiy I want Clingan in Chicago
@@_AVC_ No way he falls there unless you really wanna trade up ?
@@Htiy Oh yeah no way we get him. I was just expressing my hopes and dreams 😂.
Here I am watching your video waiting for the Phoenix Suns pick and then you skip right past them. Never watch your shit again!
Guess I don’t know how to respond to that. Sorry!
I’m going to guess you definitely don’t work for the bulls. If you did they wouldn’t be in basketball purgatory right now.
I won’t speak on who I work for haha, but it all starts at the top. Unfortunately their owner just doesn’t care about winning basketball games.
I hate to be that guy but you always mention how like you're working for a NBA team or have like inside sources or something and I guess I can understand if you don't wanna reveal what team or whatever, but is there like ANY proof of what you're saying is true? Like because to me, like I said I hate being that guy, anyone can say they're working for a NBA team and just make up some BS, but I also feel like a NBA team wouldn't want someone making videos/leaking information and whatnot. Or like even your bio says you were a former college basketball coach, can you provide any information on like the team or anything? I just want to see some sort of validity because you always bring it up in your videos but its easy to just say it and not be telling the truth you know?
I guess if you really wanted to you could probably find me or my company on the internet, but if you do I encourage you to not share that here.
Otherwise nah I won’t. I want my business and this one to be separate. Especially since a lot of the people I work with are considered my friends. That includes players, coaches, hell accountants and ball boys haha. Just not my place to list them here.
@@_AVC_ How do we know that anything you say is credible then, that you're a former coach, that you're working for a NBA team, that you've been in draft workouts, etc.
@@Flappyhappy6 I guess you don’t 😂. In all fairness, I’m 100% confident y’all could piece my identity together and find me on the internet if you really wanted. I wouldn’t say I’m everywhere but you’d find me on staff pages, podcast appearances, etc.
But really idc if people believe it or not. I just do this for fun and extra money haha. And it’s been a cool project to put on my resume “Digital media consultant.” 😂
Think Terrence Shannon will last to the 28th pick?
I have no idea honestly. I don’t think he should!
U think he's a fit with Nuggets @@_AVC_
Can you please stop having a hard on for blazers wasting a pick on knect when they could potentially get someone who could end up better then what he would be for scoot and as a player. Even then just sign or trade for whatever your looking for in the future if your really trying to push for playoff success if it doesn’t work out cause either way knect probably would just be a trade piece anyway
I’m sorry I’m not exactly sure what you said in this. Can you try to explain that again?
