Quick question tho... Why do you slice open the flannel and Zorb fabrics? Doesn't this compromise the absorbency by facilitating leaks?🤔

the gusher style is meant to be cut into, we only cut into a few layers of flannel, all the absorbency is still there. when it frays it grabs flow faster.

Do you share your pattern? Our sewing group sews pads for Malawi, but I haven’t made gusher pads.

These patterns are mostly free on our website, we do have specialty ones we sell in our Etsy to help fund our Non-profit mission. Any cloth pad pattern can be made into gusher pads.

Is Malawi still in need after all these decades and why don't they give equipment to Malawi so they can make it themselves no offence but the world have made that continent a dumping ground and left it in bondeg.

It is a man made material that is very thirsty. It is made by Wazoodle (only buy from their site). It feels like felt but is meant to absorb a lot!
      Very easy to work with.

Unless the finished pads are going to be sanitized after the cat has been toucing the work space and the hands are clean from touching the cat, I would "not" give those pads away to the charit(ies). It's just totally disgusting. I never let my animals in my sewings room and when I do my pads, I wear clothes free of animal excess.

You are free to have your own opinion even if we don't agree with it. Everything should be washed, even new clothes, because there's lots of things that touch it in transit. This is no different. If you don't support our mission and the work we do, please feel free to leave. We want supportive people here.
