Great video showing the beautiful backcountry of Nova Scotia!

Can't imagine a better introduction to Nova Scotia for Alex. Brilliant back country adventure!

So this is my neck of the woods and I know pretty much everywhere you were at.In fact you were on the same lake as my camp. This place is heaven on earth.
Hi Allen !!!! Should have a beer at Off track , when this is over !!
Amazing boys..... Very very well done..... Cheers
Thank you Jim! Thanks for watching
Good ol lap dog
Not sure how I missed this video, thought I’d watched them all. One of my absolute favorites though. the fly fishing and paddling were awesome. Looked like a Bear Essentials Buck Saw in the one clip 😊
Awesome adventure, and very well put together!
Solid trip boys, you know how to do it right. 🍻
Thanks for watching!
excellent video, great fishing, some tough portages.
Glad to see you are finally drinking some good Nova Scotia craft beer, great video ( as always) c,heers
Thanks for watching! Had some solid crafts on this trip
I feel bad for the one guy who did not like this amazing video
Beauty!
Hey guys awesome video, I've gotta get up into the Tangier Grand system for sure. Great work on the donairs too!
Aside from the beautiful lakes, fun whitewater sections and crazy brook trout fishing, the donairs were really the hit of the trip ;) Definitely recommend getting into the area and also to bring donairs haha. Thanks for watching Jeff!
Nice trip that!!!
Really nice vid guys!
Thanks for watching!
Great video!
Cool trip!
Shame those brookies (mud) trout are so tiny. Need a whole lot of them for a meal. Great shots and as always, beaut videography. Kudos.
looks like a great area....when is your big trip to Labrador??
We head out July 13, 2019. Starting to get very excited.
Those donairs look ridiculous boys. Good call. Need to add that to the list.
Awesome video do you ever get up to Colchester County? I have an old cabin there in Castlereigh, lots of river/streams and lakes around it. Hit me up if you ever head that way! Cheers
Esquif Canoe? Switched from Nova Craft? Great vlog guys!
Yes we were really interested in trying out the Esquif Canyons. We still love our Nova Craft Prospector.
Hi Noah! Again great video! I also fly fish... I’m curious... what is the weight of you rod?
cool
This takes me back. I used to run so many of these eastern shore routes 25 years ago. You fellas were camped at a site I know well the first night! The area got me addicted and I've been guiding ever since. Guided all over the world and seen a lot of spectacular sights but none were as adventurous as tripping in good old Nova Scotia when I was a young guy.
Makes me want to get the old Nova Craft out and head there next high water season.
Thanks for the great video guys😊
When do you check out the bar scene?
Haha 😄
What WT rods and line are you using for these size fish?
How much do the canoes weigh?
Donairs?? ..... doner kebab processed meat?? .... 👏👏😜🙏
Those donairs looked awesome. Such a random East Coast thing, but so good!
Definitely going to need to have these on another trip 👌
Good to see mr Greene in this one…. Well done!!
Parrsboro boy
What section of lakes did you cover ?!
It always fun to paddle a river and end up in the ocean
It is really cool! Fresh to salt. Thanks for watching
be careful,rocks explode
When I started flyfishing, it was dry fly all the time. Love it. Great trip guys. 👍👏🏾🎣
Love chasing that topwater bite! Thanks for watching
WOW, Great video of a great trip. I backpack in the Adirondacks. I have never seen trout like that. Cheers.
Nova Scotia is truly special when it comes to brook trout!
Dude that IS the honey hole!!! I was there yesterday and caught like 7 nice trout
I gotta try and find that spot
You guys have amazing skills in the whitewater and fishing departments! It’s very beautiful there, great video.
Thanks a lot Derek!
Hey Guys:: I'm always impressed by the scenery & terrain in Nova Scotia. Sure lots of fish & impressive fly fishing. Forgive an old man's jealousy. Thanks Brian 79
Haha thanks Brian! Such a nice area to trip in
What an incredible video!!!!!! Good for you lads!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Great content, but 7 ads in a 26 minute video. UA-cam sucks.
Thanks for the heads up. We will look into this
Fantastic trip and filming as always! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
How was the esquif canyon on all that flatwater?
It doesn't track as well as a Prospector and it's a bit sluggish, but it does the trick
Great adventure, awesome footage, the back country is beautiful! You guys make everything look so easy! Thoroughly enjoyed this! Nova Scotia is gorgeous! New sub from Texas, USA.
awesome
Thanks for watching!
Nice trip and beautiful footage!
Thanks Gordon!
Nova Scotia is very pretty. Meal looks very nice! Great video!
Forests get overgrown like that when they're poorly managed - spruce gets in and doesn't care about over-shading or over-lapping. It's a shame, but over 95% of the province has been logged at one point or another.
I wish you guys would show a little more of the hundreds of rivers you can cruise for 5-10 days on and have barely a portage in sight. Show more of the paragon of wilderness canoeing and less of a sufferfest ,especially for those who have never done a canoe trip but would like to. As a Maine Guide in Wilderness Whitewater canoeing for the past 26 years, I worry people who don’t know will see you guys carrying canoes as far as you paddle them and think that’s a canoe trip.
wouldn't all this cooking in nova scotia backcountry attract black bears and/or cougars etc.? is this a safety concern at all? legitimate question I honestly don't know. I've never cooked outdoors before.
Donairs! Woo
First time I have had a backcountry donair. It won't be the last time!
Noah - your video really moved around. I know your takeout but I recognize the circuitous route you took to get there following your video. Earlier in the video I was familiar with campsite that provided you great fishing - I took a brookie there one evening from my canoe facing shore - I was able to cut it into steaks! Again, I genuinely enjoy your appreciation of the NS wilderness - you're enjoying the good stuff that I treasure now in my thoughts.
Really enjoying these videos, guys, despite not caring at all about fishing, and not being much of a camper. Great to see some NS wilderness again, I've been away too long. Love the Eastern Shore.
Good times! Nice eatting size brookies as well. I just caught my first muskie yesterday while remote camping in Craig lake state park in the U.P. of Michigan. Love your work keep up educating!
Really enjoying these videos. Watching from Porters Lake in the Eastern Shore. Keep it up!
Wow i am trying really hard to not be jealous right now! Careful in the spring thaws awesome out there!!! Thats why hammocks come in handy, done air what is it? Im starving
Lol he loves Doner i think..i am Turkish and yes i miss it a kot..not easy to find real one at Seattle for now..
So much awesome In this one.
Thanks Jon! I'm sure you would have been hammering the brookies out here!
Northern Scavenger - the tug is the drug
awsome trip
Thanks Peter!
so why not clear some of the way, so women can used it easily
Backcountry donairs, lol
22:12 Dave's dog is dialled in !!!!
Nice trip. Great fishing.
Another grand adventure!
👍👍👍
Another great video
Awesome. Thanks
Any issues with ticks? Heard you got a lot now in Nova Scotia now.
I go down around that area year round never had a tick on me
Is there any Pike in NS ?
There are no pike, but there are chain pickerel. Pike's pesky little cousin.
Cool thanks
Catching fish on a fly that you made yourself, then cooking and eating the catch on a shore lunch?? Nothing could be better..... one of the best I’ve watched from the Northern Scavenger crew 🤙🤙
Thanks Scott! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. There is nothing more satisfying than that full circle of making the fly and eating the fish you caught with it.
Guys I couldn't wipe the smile off my face watching this. I'm so glad that you seem to be enjoying the back country here. Looks like a amazing trip.
Glad to hear that! Nova Scotia has a lot of backcountry to offer. Thanks for watching!
