Damn, she's got such a sultry voice. I could listen to Norah all day long. For her to cover Uncle Neil is a great tribute. Having him just hang bang and let her lead the performance is so "Neil" of him. That's why he's such a badass. He's the rough in a diamond!

I heard about this sort of thing a while ago, but honestly, I never thought it was real. I thought these charity concerts were just rumours. Goes to show the true quality of Mr's Jones.
But this. Not only do you have a surprise guest whose song your covering, but a spot of musical microphone which is essentially Young saying to Norah "No, you got to finish the vocal, Norah, cause your owning it" Which goes to show the quality of that legend.

@@DanGBow1 He appears to be a really cool guy, Dan. I regret at this point not knowing his music better. I only know of a few of his songs and most of that is through Jones unique musical perspective. To me, she's a bit like a window into many worlds that otherwise I may never have been "privy" to. Some day, and I hope that day is soon, I will need to "step through" that window while also keeping that window very much in sight [because I do love it so] so that I can better experience some of those worlds.
Neil Young, is very much one OF those worlds.

The man would not stop playing, could tell how much he loved his music. He got fined for playing beyond the time frame but he didn't care, he was angry that he was stopped. Solo, International Harvesters with Merle Haggard (countrified version of this song is awesome). CSN&Y (he made those guys look like rookies) except Stills whose talent has always been unappreciated.

Mary Gray he might be a gentleman, but I'm almost positive that's not what influenced his decision. He's an artist first and foremost, so whatever choices he made on stage were in service of making the performance the best, to his ears and eyes.

Would you have said the same thing about if it were a man he was playing with? If not, this is an oddly sexist remark.

There's a technical aspect to it, watching his notes to be able to accompany with chords that enhance. There's work involved and she showed the talent she has, not just another pretty face.
