- Neil Young & Norah Jones singing Harvest Moon at the Painted Turtle. Norah had played her own set before she joined Neil onstage for this song. Concert was a benefit for the Bridge School which provides a free camp for children with serious medical conditions.
Been a fan of Neil Young for decades, and this is one of his most beautiful songs. I only wish Norah Jones, with that fabulous voice, had a bigger part.
🎉love your harmonica playing Neil
Neil Young is an international treasure. Keep on rockin
in the free world . . .
Nora is such a lovely spirit. It is intensely apparent that she just loves making music with zero ego involved.
A beautiful message. Oh how I miss these times.
Daughter of a master musician.
👍❤️✨☀️

I didn’t recognise Neil Young at first
Rarely see him without a hat and never wearing all white
Beautiful performance by all.
Just like ELVIS, Michael Jackson, Tom Petty, Prince, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, & all the rest that are all gone now, & them that are still here, there will never be another Neil Young, these are all dynamic musical geniuses
I've been so lucky. Almost 67 and my first musical "obsessions" James, Neil and Cat are still playing and in good voice.
i am 68 and hear you loud and clear !!!
Anybody else grab their kitchen broom and play the sweep part along with Neil & Norah? What an awesome song. I loved it when the album debuted and still love it today.
Dancin still....
Same here in 1972, my friend Remi’s dad had a good sound system and we would listen to Neil Young sitting on the lawn..on the Gaspé Peninsula...that’s why we never grow old.
There he is playing acoustic and humming on the harmonica, what a lovely sound. Neil is older than I can remember my Grandpa was and he still makes it happen. Neil Young may not be so young now but he can claim that he and the "Laurel Canyon Clan" changed the world in the '60s. Although then, at that time in the '60s, I was only 7 years old, I remember it well. God Bless the Laurel Canyon Clan and keep them all healthy, happy, and young at heart for years to come! 🌼
Neil turned 75 on Nov. 12th 2020.
Watching Neil on Saturday Night Live play this and "From Hank to Hendrix" with no backup band is what finally pushed me to simply HAVE to learn to play guitar and not just sing. I had never been so awestruck at a single artist in my entire life. That was twenty years ago. I owe this man the deepest respect for making me feel something beautiful and honest for so long.
@Taotaomona Thank you!
I was going to school in Missoula MT, we were at the bar that night and had to leave early to make it home in time to catch that episode (no UA-cam back then). Why I remember that night after all this time I have no idea.
Long Live Uncle Neil and his big and wonderful heart. You bring tears to my eyes for many things over the years. You will never totally know the love you left . Thank you Neil Young.
Playing the guitar and the harmonica at the same time. Amazing.
For some reason , when I was young , I didn't appreciate just how good he is , until one day I saw him live on TV , at Wembley stadium just by himself with his guitar , and he was just amazing , been a fan ever since got lots of his albums , and seen him live a couple of times , as well , one of the greatest in my opinion .
See my comment, above.
that put a smile on my face
I learnt to play Every Body Knows this Nowhere in 1973. Since then I've played at least 600 Neil Young songs and yet this is still the lost mind blowin' of all. Watch Ny and Norah Jones play this absolute Gem.
I first saw Neil in the early 60's on Yorkville in Toronto. He still moves me to tears.
Neil writes simple songs but they always stand out. a genius! Bless up!
Before my brother took his life in 2012 he gave me a Nora Jones CD I was taken aback with her vocals I was/still are so proud of my bro. Past is the past and I loved him to the bone…. I pray he found his peace I miss my troubled rock ♥️
I was there with my daughter and granddaughter. What a great pleasure to be present at this event. It was fall before the pandemic struck. Neil Young will always be one of the great ones! He brings character, beauty, immense talent to all his music. 🦋💙❤️.
Where was this and what was the event?
@@NancyR3454 it says in the description.
What a joy that must have been. I so love this song. I play harmonica along. Worthy of Neil !
Brings tears my eyes.
Yep I have to say I agree. First time I saw Neil was in Alabama in 1972 but couldn't see much of him for the smoke.
A breezy day on the flat bed with Neil, Nora and the percussion section. Love it.
mikereardonbass that’s a big fan in front of the piano, not a breeze.
@@joemeyer6876 Both - you can see the trees in the background being blown by the wind. The trees are behind the piano but too far back to be affected by a fan.
I have loved Neil Young for the majority of my life...perhaps surprisingly or not, at 61 I love his music and what he stands for more than ever!
Me too. I used to have 3 or 4 Neil Young albums back-to-back on real-to-real tape, played it constantly and followed his music over decades. I especially love this song and the UA-cam video of it.
Similar age and sentiments 😃
What he "stands for" ??? That would be....................
From the Buffalo Springfield days!
Thanks Kerry Me TOO
Love seeing Big Daddy with his long legs moving to his music and Norah wiggling on the piano bench, equally engrossed in this lovely collaboration. What a love song!
Neil continues to amaze- his voice still a treasure w/ his music. My high school buddies in '76,'77 would play 'Old Man', 'Heart of Gold", and 'Sugar Mountain' etc. In these challenging times this is a soulful treasure. Thankyou for posting
Me too!
I graduated in 1980 we loved neil!!! Shut in a tiny room with a turntable big speakers and a bowl!!! Those were the best times of my life but didnt know it then!! Live Rust!!!
I graduated from a small, rural upstate NY school in 1976. Never did I think I'd live in California and get to see Neil play multiple times. My favorite Neil song is Unknown Legend (RIP Peggy); whats yours?
Cinnamon girl!!
@@kellyrn6014 So many nuggets of Neil gold. Favs: Down by the River, Cowgirl, Rockin in the Free W, Needle and the D Done ; Top O the list, Mr Soul and Like a Hurricane
This was my exes and my song. We matched it and it’s bittersweet when I think of her. Perfect. Thank you Neil.
This song will forever be the "most romantic" to me, and the perfect one to dance to with your love.
AFTER ALL THE GREAT THINGS NEIL YOUNG HAS DONE. I'VE BEEN A FAN FROM THE BEGINNING. THIS IS THE BEST EVER!!😁😉 KERRY
Last time I heard Neil Young in concert was in 1982 " The Summer Night " series concerts in Saarbrucken, West Germany. He rocked the venue with " Cinnamon Girl " . It was a hot, dusty, outdoor event, but it was worth it. I wish I had a time machine with a flux capacitor, I forgot to enjoy & cherish my youth. YEP!
Best concert i ever saw: January, 1979 - Cleveland Coliseum, Neil young and Crazy Horse. Neil was on first, solo. Bar stool, acoustic guitar and harmonica. Second half, Crazy Horse came in and they rocked the house! Naturally there was an encore. The unrelenting cheers brought them back for a SECOND encore. They left the stage, the lights came on. Even so, the crowd continued to cheer, flash lighters and stomp on the floor. They came back on for a THIRD encore! Unbelievable! Spectacular! 41 years ago and I still remember it . . .
This literally made me cry. Take care Neil.
Nothing better this morning. I used this clip on Fbook to make a point.
Cheers.
Me to !

Made you cry? The creep ran out on his wife complete negating the spirit of this song
@@lawreence13 i'm a fan of his music, not his wife
Thank you, Neil, for all the good times I spent enjoying your great music. The beauty of simple love. God bless you. 💖
Love this song, and Neil looks great in his white jeans and shirt. Nice change of pace.
This music to me is timeless, thanks so much for sharing, love them both Neil & Norah
God bless the children and the people that do these events for them.
Oh god how beautiful...two of my favourite artists performing one of my all time favourite songs. How perfect.
Boy that would have been a pleasant experience watching those guys in the great outdoors on a nice day. Heaven
Neil sounds excellent, I love Harvest Moon 🌝 so much! Norah and Sasha are wonderful also!! Love Norah & Sasha’s cover of Bullrider so much!!❤️❤️❤️
What a fantastic pairing! Great voices complimenting one another 🎵🎶doesn’t get much better! 🌙💫🌟💛
Harvest moon is a classic, just beautiful
I think Neil sounded better than I’ve heard him sing in a long time. I was a bit disappointed that Nora didn’t have a bigger part though, she has a terrific voice. Very nice though.👍👍
An absolutely breathtaking performance. Ethereal. Thanks for posting.
Oh me Oh my, what a perfect sight ❤ two amazing artists just doin' what they do ❤❤💯
This is music that touches my soul. Real. Raw. Storytelling. 🎶🖤✨💋
Great pair - Neil still looks and sounds great
This is so beautiful.. at the foot of those ancient hills 🌟😊🌟✨
A true legend!
cant get this great song out of my head, i never liked neil in earlier times. im 76 and i enjoy all the older songs and artests i never appreciated before..
Neil and Nora so great and so unpretentious! That's what makes great artists!!
Two of the real legends of great music
Truly awesome!!! Thanks for posting.
Love this song. I play Neil’s video he recorded locally in Woodside on Skyline Rd ❤️
Jeff Dapper ~ Thanks for sharing! Lovely song! Peace, Love & Music!!!
One of the sweetest songs ever written.
"Perfect setting, song, singers..."♡
Ear to ear smiles all the way. Thank you sooo much for posting this Jeff (not sure how to tag you in this, hope you will see this). There is just so much going on on that stage. Sasha Dobson is a great artist in her own right and so of course is Norah and the interaction between the two of them (when singing harmony) is .... well great. Neil is just 'feeling his way' through his own songs and Norah is perfectly in sync and filling in 'those gaps'. Most of all it looked and sounded like a bunch of people having fun and enjoying the (musical) company. Did I a say thank you?
Another great song from the master !
Still the most romantic song ever 💖
Just so Sweetly Sung!♥️
Neil has a son with special needs and has done all kinds of stuff for and at special needs facilities under the radar for years. A real stand up guy, I'd say.
Went to his first Bridge School concert, in 1986 . Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Nils Lofgren, Don Henley, Neil ( Graham, Stills and Crosby’s first gig after prison, showed up unannounced ) and Robin Williams was the M.C. . And it’s an all Acoustic show . Seriously BIG FUN !
I was unhappy after buying Neil's album, Trans, and then read about why, and I broke down.
@@woodywills1904
That would be so special. Glad you got to experience that.
I agree in general, but he broke Peg's heart when he divorced her.
Both of Neil's sons are with special needs, and his daughter is epileptic
love this song!
Linda música....e com Norah Jones acompanhando melhor ainda!!!!!!
Was wishing Norah took that second verse. Voice of an angel.
I was expecting it too
my thought exactly
What a waste of Norah.
Not her song!!!
Me too.
Love Love Love Neil Young ever since I was young, many moons ago 😍👏
Beautiful. Was hoping to hear Nora Jones a bit more, but still great.
I love this song! Go Ms Norah
I just love them both! Forever 😍😍😍😍
Muy hermosa canción y la increíble y característica voz de Neil.
Two of my favourite musicians. I would have liked to hear Nora sing a verse or two of this classic song.
Beautiful resolution and sound! TFS

Neil Young was a major influence on my musical career.
Thank you 🧡
Love the shadows on the hills behind them.
Awesome singer, awesome song.
What an Artist! Neil Young Thank You!!!!
Amazing!!
So beautiful. Two of the best on stage together. All sorts of weird wrenching stuff going on inside me.
same
Pretty weird stuff happening on stage too. I would've gone out for beer and Milk Duds during this, then returned for "On The Way Home."
Just a beautiful song
I can imagine the guy playing the rattle saying "yeah I was on stage with Neil Young and Norah Jones ". "We rocked!"
This was my 113/113 0f Neil Young performances I’ve attended. It was a special day of music. Hope its not the last. Peace & Love.
Love that harvest moon 🐿🍁🎃🧡
Made my eyes fill with tears...
My favorite NY song.
Just imagine you composed a song that thousands of people married to and thousands of people have as part of some of their best memories. That's quite an accomplishment for a existence.
It is a gift. Thank's ☺
My favorite singers. 🕊🌻🙋♀️🙋♂️🤗😇🌞
Sounds great, I like the music and the video 😀
Maravilhoso Neil Young.
Unique song.... unique singer
BELA, SIMPLESMENTE LINDA CANÇÃO...FANTASTICO...ISSO É TUDO QUE MEUS OUVIDOS QUEREM OUVIR....
As always with feelings love your style 🌈
I saw Neil play ARE YOU READY FOR THE COUNTRY back in the dark ages in Cleveland. The pump organ/keyboard in the background looks just like I recall him playing it on.
I knew Sasha Dobson's parents very well in San Francisco in the late sixties. It is amazing to see her now. -John Scherber
Great song, would have loved for Neil to let Nora sing a couple of verses.
Still lovin' you Neil. sweet soul.
Thanks Neil. 👍✌
Love!
very cool to see this just makes me feel good
Brings tears to My eyes .where can I see the rest of the concert 😁😊
