so figured with all the comments i been geeting on tuning audio setting i did a break down and tutorial for you, i hope these tips and tricks help you in tuning your audio system and give you some options to play with the deck stereo headunit i used was a pioneer 8400
Sick video man my system sounded good but lacked clarity because of too much bass took your advice and set my hpf to 80 now she's got that nice clean thump in my techno beats thanks heaps man
Thanks for the video. I have the same head unit and didn't notice the high pass filter setting. It's now set to 80hz as is subwoofer setting. Whole system sounds so much better..... Thanks.

Like the video and I know quite a bit of it but I'm stumped on an fh-x700bt by pioneer battery was disconnected and it went back in to demo mode and can't get my mids and highs back to the right settings the pre set eq is limited the amp powers it and no sub hooked up jus for clarity
I have two sets of 6.5 Cadence components and a pair of 6×9's. My question is I'm going to run a 4-channel amp on the four components speakers, would I need another amp for the 6x9's? Thanks for input!!!

Helpful tip, once you find that "perfect" eq setting, take a picture of it with your phone of trace the screen on a piece of paper for the future if your setting are lost. Lost my setting once when car was in shop for a recall and my settings were all lost and took a couple of weeks of listening to get it just right again.
I have a Sony 601bt. It has a separate output for subwoofers. What I want to know is if the EQ on the HU has any effect on the sub output? Or is it completely separate.
Ur awesome bro. I listen to rock, hip hop, country, I’m after strong but clear bass and I am not running a subwoofer. So I need some help adjusting a custom equalizer setting. I have poineer agh-4500nex. My mids for front are 6.5 focal components and my rear speakers are 4 inch coaxial focal mids. So it can take some power and sounds awesome but my settings is off. I need help with adjusting equalizer to provide clarity and some bass because I’m not running a sub.
I have a Avh-x3500 bhs like the one in this video when I 1st got it had it installed by a car electronic shop the sound was great with my boss speakers it was so great I didn't need a sub woofer but after my car battery went dead the sound also went dead I tried to adjust the EQ but it still sounds like a alarm Clock please help me out
i have avh2800bs , about to put in 2 rockford p1"s ... if i make my high pass filter starting filtering out another below 200hz for my highs will it have effect on my subs getting the signal below 200hz beings that there is a seperate setting for subwoofer?

I have a standard system I don't want to much of the extra gear I simply had no choice but to replace my stereo and I'm running into a clarity issue with the EQ I've tweaked it as much as I have patience for and now I'm stuck readjusting to every song I need help
exactly! use th subwoofer option to control the sub but do nut use the bass option that add bass to your speakers which will wreak them faster so leave bass low as possible or max 2
Just bought a 2011 Jeep Wrangler 4 Door and it came w that exact deck. Was tuning it and had NO CLUE what each Hz option represented what sound characteristic. I have 2 “Custom” user settings and I’d like to dedicate Custom1 for the top ON, and set up Custom 2 for when the top is OFF! Any suggestions for getting best sound possible in an open air conditions?
