What a nice detailed explanation! I currently have type 2 separation i think (along with fractured hip, tibia and fibula) and ive been having pain. Nice to see whats going on in there.
I’m assuming I have type 1 or 2. The hospital, Johns Hopkins Hospital (one of the best), said they couldn’t see anything wrong. My clavicle pokes out the top of my shoulder. I did the exercises they recommended and mostly everything seems ok. There’s some bumping of internals in there when I rotate my shoulder but I am mostly back to normal with minimal pain. But I can trace my clavicle to the point it protrudes and my other shoulder since the fall is still at its normal shape and size so I know for sure something moved. I was in a sling for a little while but I was confused at how they X rated me and didn’t see anything when visually, you can see it and with your hands you can feel it.

Soft tissue my ass. Doctors can be such arrogant jerks.
Had one collarbone 'disappear' from view years ago after hitting the ground playing sports. Took months to reappear and has never quite been the same. Local GP said I was just not symmetrical! Gave up on getting treatment after that!.

Thought I dislocated my shoulder but the more research I do the more I suspect it's my clavicle dislocated from my shoulder. I suspect I have the type 2. I will visit a doctor this weekend to get it looked at
Could this injury be from incline dumbbell flies? About a week ago I had my arm too high and at the bottom felt a pop in my shoulder and a vibration in my collar bone. Since then there has been pain off and on throughout the day localized in that spot and if I reach overhead the last 15 degrees or so causes popping and crunching in my shoulder.
Im in the same situation. I may have done over weights on shoulder pressing. I noticed a bump on both of my shoudlers. No pain but have the deformed Ac joint separation is what im assuming. Hesitant if I should visit the doctor.
@@skygrey5921 for me it was painful and I couldn’t raise my arm all the way or sleep on that side. Went to the doc they did X-rays and ultrasound. No deformation or misalignment of AC joint for me but there was swelling and pain with certain motions that wouldn’t go away. Doc sent me to physiotherapist that helped.
