  • This episode I begin the quite involved task of prepping second hand pressed metal sheets, and start installing them. I also tackle a couple of other jobs. This project has now become a wide and varied list of small, medium and large jobs.
    Stay well folks.
    Mark.

I've been doing custom architectural sheet metal work for 42 years. I am an expert at it and I know what that takes, persistence till you get the result you envisioned. If you're not an expert I don't know anyone who is. My hat's off to you my friend, you're a true artisan. Thanks for showing you amazing creation!

Thanks for the great feedback 🙂
I do claim expert level in one trade, (so far it hasn't had a reason to feature on my channel), but everything else, yep, persistence and tenacity to hopefully achieve a passable result!
      Thanks for watching 👍

Good luck with it. I do wonder how mine would go on the road. An hour long round trip grocery run might take two days, but at least the journey would be enjoyable. 🙂

you miter the trim piece like you are making an inside corner, cope it at the line where the miter meets the face. It will match perfect and is very fast to do. Just make sure to angle the coping saw in the opposite direction of the miter cut as to scoop out the back so that only the face edge touches the other piece.

Thanks Allen. Yes I had a go with the coping saw at first, but that showed up my lack of skill working on very small pieces. So I basically just carved the pieces to fit as best I could.
