Thank you so much! and yes. You are a really good teacher! Just refurbished the congas I've had for 40 years and put a new steer skin on the quinto. I am so psyched like I was as a kid keeping them right next to my bed and computer! Practice practice practice!
the lower line should play the bell pattern on the foot with a.woodblock or cowbell and then play all the above with the right hand.... this is really helping my indepedence. thank you so much.

I want to thank you for your lessons. I use knowleges i got from you all the time in my practice. I want too ask if there will be any lessons for the cajon play?
Hi Michael.... I've always enjoyed your many videos and just wanted to share a slight misinterpretation within this video concerning the rhythm you play on your left hand coming from the Bata tradition on Okonkolo... Whilst this is only a small distinction, I feel it is an important one to convey correctly to your many viewers... If you were mimicking the Okonkolo exactly then the open tone is on the third triplet and the slap is on the one, i.e; the beat. I hope you won't mind me highlighting this, it's not meant in a defamatory way.
Thank you again for these marvelous exercises. You are a gem! Richard
Michael you're the best teacher.
Gerardo Correa Thanks Gerardo!!

Excellent! Aren't those patterns basically bata drums patterns on congas? And I love bata drums. Btw, do you happen to have bata drums tutorials?

hi i want to know it's been a form to play patato Valdez tumbao in two congas
miranda ı want to ask about ASBA congas. do you heard this brand and is it good?
It is an old branch. In Holland we don't that good experience with this branch. The wetter makes the shell burst so often... But that is here.
I've learned it but the other way. the left hand doing the right hand pattern and the right hand doing the left hand pattern.
Gerardo Correa You can do it the other way around too. I do that playing Abacua (Havanna style). It is a good exercise too.
Glad Mike. Do you have some exercises for jawbone percussion?
I don't know jawbone percussion. Perhaps you can send me a link.
