Great review. The best I have seen of the Z Fold 3 cases, and have watched many. I particularly appreciated that you tested for any wobble of the phone laying down. No one seems to do that. I ordered the S pen case, which I also don't like much. I have the aramid on order.

In the meantime, when I need to make the sure to have the s pen with me I will still use the s pen case from Samsung, but I hope that I can leave the front cover of the Aramid case on and just have to take off the back part. I don't have it yet, but I hope it is slim enough so that the flap cover from the s pen case will work over it. That way I can leave the top cover on and not worry about the adhesive that is supposed to keep that on. Taking that part on and off must weaken the bond that keeps it in place. Plus, it will give the phone more protection in case I drop it and the front flap opens up on the way down.
What an excellent idea - I've just tried it and it actually works great! So I can put the S Pen case on and just the front part of the Aramid Cover and the front flap still closes up nicely - actually feels better if anything 😅👍
The leather flip case with stand has a magnetic piece that actually clips onto the front leather flap when you are using as a stand.. Match the pieces up and they fit perfectly.
I find the flip cover with pen very good, having the pen on the spine when the phone is fully open creates a handle for me to grip the phone in my left hand. A vey secure grip, you can even invert the phone without the fear of dropping it. But the again I do prefer a flip case.
That's cool 👍 Everyone has their own preferences. Because I have my phone facing me for most of the day, having a flip on the front was just more hassle than it was worth. I'd definitely want a flip cover (leather with the magnet) if/when I go out though - just to protect the front of the phone

That leather case with the stand would have served a better purpose if that strap could have swung around and attached to the front of the case to keep it sealed closed. Obviously the reason we buy cases is to protect the phone and particularly the glass fronts and cases, even with a magnetic closure, will pop open if the phone is accidentally dropped. So a case that would be sealed closed would be better and it would have been easy to accomplish with another magnet or even velcro. Sadly disappointed in all the cases (leather from my order is on delay to arrive) and hoping the silicone does the trick, bought it today. For such an expensive phone you'd think they'd have put a greater effort into the protection of it via cases. However, I appreciate your in depth review of them all.

Wondering if the leather flip cover is comfortable to use when using the front screeen. The more protective cases seem to make using the front screen less useable.
It's certainly better than the S Pen case as the leather has more grip so feels better in the hand. You still have the front flap issue though which means I couldn't personally use it 24/7. I think it's the perfect 'going out the house' case where you need the best protection and probably won't be on your phone too much. For home use though, I find the front flip just gets in the way where I might be checking my phone more frequently...
@@AndroidAddicts I like the normal leather cover more than leather flip cover for protection as it covers the upper body (I can bump the phone into things while walking) only if I could store the S-Pen. I'm planning to buy leather cover, glue spen Fold edition sleeve (to store Spen) onto the back of leather cover. Hopefully, it will turn out nice 🤞

I have the camel leather flip, aramid and s pen case. Aramid is my daily, camel flip is my going out with my wife case and I only use the s pen from the s pen case. Terrible case, feels cheap and not as functional as I had hope it would be. Cheers

Hi there, I'd say the Silicone would offer better grip over the leather case overall. Over time the leather might be better as it wears/roughens up a bit
that S Pen Cover and the Leather Kick Stand Cover are the 2 ugliest case due to the flappy front cover that stick out when you open up the screen, if you drop the phone with those case the front screen most likely will be destroy. I would say the best cases are the regular Leather Case and the Aramid Case. The Silicon is ok too but being all rubbery it will attract a lot of little lint and dirt to stick onto it.
Don't forget the leather flip cover actually has a magnet which secures it to the screen so you're unlikely to have front screen damage if you drop your phone with that one on. Agreed RE the Silicone, looks and feels nice but does gather dust. I'm using the Aramid daily at the moment 😎
@@AndroidAddicts my friend has the leather kick stand one and he dropped his phone on the living room carpet, he said the magnet pop open when the phone drop half way. The phone's screen was exposed when it was on the ground, so I guess it's all depends on your luck 🤣🤣. I'm currently using the regular leather case and it's my favorite so far, I'm looking into the aramid, probably my other favorite but samsung store ran out of stock so I will wait. Spigen has the case where it protects the spine of the phone, that one looks great although it will add some weight and thickness to the phone.😅

You should have checked the instructions on the leather case. The end of the leather strap has a metal plate that should latch on to the leather flap when you use it for a stand.
For what it's worth, the links to the items being sold on Amazon UK are messed up. They all take you to a search result where any random Chinese cr*p shows. Worth noting also is that the items on Amazon UK (when you actually get there) are also messed up. If you order from the page showing the Leather Flip case, it's actually the Leather Cover that you get sent and people are not happy... If you want to be sure to get the right case then your best bet is to order direct from Samsung, but then you have to wait 7-10 days for them to ship.

I have updated and checked all the links and they are correct (again) - I presume Amazon changed some of the product pages/removed/deleted something because there's no way I'd have gotten links for those random Chinese cases! 😅 When I ordered mine I also had the issue that they're using the wrong image on the leather cover (they're using the leather flip cover photo (still!) and also my leather flip cover was called Silicone cover after I'd ordered it so I did panic slightly. Luckily it all turned out OK but they've certainly messed up big time for these cases! Thanks again for letting me know and sorry you had some issues.
@@AndroidAddicts No need to apologise, it's Amazon that screwed up, not you :) FWIW I ordered the black Leather Cover (even if the photos displayed the Leather Flip Cover) and it's what I got, so I'm a happy bunny. The only niggle I have about the cover is the fact that the rear half is thicker than the front half, so if you place the unfolded phone flat on a desk, it wobbles. Admittedly less so than without a cover, but it still wobbles nonetheless. Huge plus side to it, you can use the cover screen on the closed phone with no wobble and no blasted flip cover or S-Pen holder getting in the way.
Believe it or not there are some even more expensive cases out there which I'm going to take a look at too... I imagine however they're probably all reasonably cheap to manufacture!

Wondering if the leather flip cover is comfortable to use when using the front screeen. The more protective cases seem to make using the front screen less useable.

I have updated and checked all the links and they are correct (again) - I presume Amazon changed some of the product pages/removed/deleted something because there's no way I'd have gotten links for those random Chinese cases! 😅 When I ordered mine I also had the issue that they're using the wrong image on the leather cover (they're using the leather flip cover photo (still!) and also my leather flip cover was called Silicone cover after I'd ordered it so I did panic slightly. Luckily it all turned out OK but they've certainly messed up big time for these cases! Thanks again for letting me know and sorry you had some issues.

FWIW I ordered the black Leather Cover (even if the photos displayed the Leather Flip Cover) and it's what I got, so I'm a happy bunny.
The only niggle I have about the cover is the fact that the rear half is thicker than the front half, so if you place the unfolded phone flat on a desk, it wobbles. Admittedly less so than without a cover, but it still wobbles nonetheless.
Huge plus side to it, you can use the cover screen on the closed phone with no wobble and no blasted flip cover or S-Pen holder getting in the way.
All this is hardly worth the time which cover has the pen holder and the stand in the same product ?
2 Seconds after putting on the case with the S-pen attached I ordered the sillicone one. Horrible design.

crazy how expensive these casing can be,and it ends up all being made in china, definitely will be able to find cheaper versions of em in the market
Believe it or not there are some even more expensive cases out there which I'm going to take a look at too... I imagine however they're probably all reasonably cheap to manufacture!

Dont ever buy a Samsung Case. Mine broke less than 3 months by itself and Samsung is refusing to replace the front Case.
