I really like it, physical buttons and controls inside, its not trying to be a batmobile either. I think from the front it looks very Maserati, the grill is very reminiscent of the MC12 and GTs. Nice review for sure, the scenery in the "epic intro" really is epic.

I was confused for a sec there, not gonna lie. 😅 And i would take this over any Lamborghini without hesitation! With it´s simple, timeless shapes it has everything to be a future classic.
Interesting that it has just won Evo’s COTY. It seems there is an appreciation of its quirks and imperfections, and it’s mechanical honesty and relative simplicity.
Epic video guys, the production level on these videos is absurd and Henry is the perfect presenter. Must say the MC20 looks absolutely stunning in the flesh :)
The car looks fantastic! It’s certainly out of my budget but if I were in the market for this, I’d buy it. The speed? All of these 500+ bhp cars, regardless of price, are faster than anything you can reasonably use on the road and it’s certainly not a car I’d take to a race track. Beautiful car.
Just catching up with the vids and don t get tired to say that these are the best car films you will ever find on the internet . The end leaves a mixture of reassurance and nostalgia that’s epic . What a year Henry !
I saw a pearl white one on a terrace in Lugano next to an SF 90, a Roma and a Portofino…it was no contest..The SF 90 in the flesh is wrong..ridiculous gaps between wheel and body…The MC 20 was stunning
Maserati / Stellantis are getting many things right at present. Thank you Monsieur Tavares. This is a fine car avoiding most of the footballer frills that many customers seems to want.
I just love seeing Maserati back taking on the likes of Ferrari. It’s been a crime the way the brand has been abused. Being the number 2 to Ferrari never allowed to shine to much just in case it upset big brother. Their racing history is fantastic in the 50s and 60s.
And in '39 and '40 Maserati won the Indy500 and almost again in '41 with the 8CTF... and for the record Maserati is the older brother to Ferrari as they were racing when Enzo was 16. Maserati had been making race cars for 33 years before the first Ferrari was made.
I keep saying this, but you guys capture the essence of what it is to be a petrol head. To make us, the viewers, feel, hear and see these incredible cars. The cinematography, the sound, the coordination, everything is just perfect! Thank you from all of us for this incredible content!
If I were fortunate enough to buy a Maserati, it'll be this one! Or the MC20 Cielo. And I'll definitely daily drive it. BTW that "The Car Comes Alive" part! Loved how you show the car's total change of character, Mr Catchpole was definitely gripping the wheel harder than in GT mode! Great attention to detail, GREAT video as usual. Love you guys!
No, it feels "wrong"! Maserati never was a real Supercar brand! The MC12 was an exception, based on the Ferrari Enzo... This car here should come as a Ferrari Dino... Makes more sense!😏
Finally saw one of these in LA and it made my jaw drop. It was beautiful and understated, like a lot of the early 2000s supercars. This, the LC500 and modern 911s are my current favs in a sea of overdone “look at me” type cars I see out here.

Given the engineering effort involved in having switchable driving modes, I have always found them to be frustratingly similar to each other. I’ve always wanted to be able to switch from unbelievably benign to unbelievably savage… so is this finally The One?
The Europe's road+views combo is just stunning, man. When the 0 - 60 times of these supercars is mentioned I'm just always reminded of how the BMW M5 CS is also around those figures --- so mental. Nice video, Henry.

I have been blessed with one. So far, put 2000 miles on it and still want to drive it to discover more and understand it better. If I don't try to understand it, extreme performance is intuitive/natural and scary. But when I want to learn it it to control it, then (most times) I find myself behind the eight ball unless I concentrate intensely on the revs during shifting. This 'eye of the storm' phase betrays a corresponding spike in speed which can only clearly be confirmed by eyes glued to the speedometer: a sensation that is unpredictable by adopting either a naturally aspirated or modern turbo or hybrid predictive model (rev-reach power threshold shift-repeat) or an old school turbo predictive model (rev-nobody home-sudden burst). With the MC20, the sensation can be explained by brief pause-sudden shove-exponentially growing shove only detectable by sudden suspension adaptation sounds and jitters when the road is not smoothe enough. Mostly refined though rough around some edges, the car has an unusually high feel of solidity (feels like a tank), glides down the road when driven casually, tends to 'get a move on' and then surprises with more; and is, to me, stunningly beautiful and well proportioned. I truly believe, that if this car proves to be reliable enough in the long term, it's pleasing uniqueness will make history as one of the few Maserati brilliant stars.
Expertly reviewed and eloquently worded and beautifully shot, and I think the MC20 is a fantastic car it’s great looking but not massively aero styled like Ferrari or McLaren
My biggest takeaway from this is how amazing the Alfa 4C was. Yes it doesn’t have the same power level, but in terms of looks, handling etc, it seems right up there and for 1/4 the price…
I own a 4C and have had the honor of driving the MC20. The similarities are far larger than just sharing a chassis. The MC20 felt like a Guilia QV and a 4C had a baby. Which Maserati won’t admit, but that is exactly what the MC20 is. 4C chassis, QV engine and transmission, mix of 4C ergonomics with Guilia switch gear and some Maserati badges. The MC20 is what Alfa Romeo should have badged the 6C. Maybe they’ll launch it before going fully EV, we will have to see. 😊
And then they let Alfa loose on the 33 Stradale at probably 4-5x the cost of an MC20. Magnificent cars both and a credit to Stellantis for reviving these iconic brands. Lancia next, please.
How do you manage to add that essence of car in every videos so well? The cinematography, editing, script, location… These just truly make these cars seem alive

I’ve seen one the other night here in Italy, astonishing. Extremely wide and beautiful, it was a black one. What a beast…pictures and videos don’t make it justice.
From other videos I've seen of the MC20, very Turbo-ey. Whooshing and whistling like there's no tomorrow. I don't think it will sell in great numbers or form the base of a series of Maseratis in the next 5-7years, but it is a good and innovative effort from a small car-maker, and a fabled one with bags of history at that. The auto-industry can ill-afford to lose companies doing interesting things like Maserati, Alpine, and others.
Maserati just does their own things they don’t care about being the quintessential Italian shouty bright orange car in the crowd, the upcoming electric shift lends itself well to this brand.
Thank you for another thoughtful video. Good to see a Maserati with "sports car" performance, format and styling. Reminds me of when the Mistral was introduced--stylistically a big departure, interesting to look at, but a less distinct than its rivals. I hope the next model, perhaps an EV, will be an A6GCS for its time.

Excellent episode! Well shot, great editing, and an heroic job on the sound editing! One question: how come no comment on the MC20's great weight, carbon tub and V-6 engine notwithstanding? Great job! Keep up the good work. 🙂
I believe that type of pre-combustion chamber is now being used in F1. Apparently gives a better and more even burn. But it's perhaps one reason why F1 engines have been difficult for the engineers to get right with the MGU-K and MGU-H. Sadly, MGU-H (the turbo end) is being dropped and that was the most interesting part we the public knew about those engines. The car looked to be bouncing quite a bit, but then, the road also looked extremely bumpy too. Worth it for those views though. As for the car, it's a strange one with the basic interior and simple lines. If it were half the price it would be awesome, but at the price they're asking? I'm not convinced it's quite special enough.
I'll take mine in Silver.. I'm glad Maserati has a real player again..this video is more like a film. Carfection has beautiful production and vibe.. Henry, it looked like you were being bounced alot, but you kept a steady commentary, Bravo.
Oh hey, look, a Bora! Legit, this is a modern day Bora. Not a bad thing, at all! But this is a supercar you could, in theory, use every day. It's simple, and easy to use, but still a supercar. A simple V6 turbo? Enough power to use whenever you want, not the 700+ of most ferraris and lambos. Plastic inside? YES, but it's simpler and easier to fix. I wouldn't even mind a limited top speed, as that would reduce wear on components. 185 would seem slow... to those who haven't done 185, and think 250 is the new standard. But not having to calibrate tyres every time they're replaced for 200+ means an easier to live with supercar. It's why I love the new Corvette. It's a supercar that ANYONE can own and love.
Remember when the Audi R8 came out, people wandered then if it was really a supercar. Looks like a similar situation here. Congrats on the one million subs.
So it's the Giulia Quadrifoglio engine but with the pre-chamber bit? The loss of the 130hp from the chamber would put the engine down to the same level as the Giulia QF.
Just amazing editing as per usual! Way ahead of most other channels visually and aurally. Not that bothered about the car as super cars are well out of my reach however, I always view for the production. Well done all.
Channel is fantastic but check out Rory on the Autotrader channel..the cinematography and production levels are amazing. Rory is great too. One of my fav Chan's.
The engine trickery you mentioned I believe comes from F1 AMG in particular, it's the reason Mercedes had such an advantage during the beginning of the turbo hybrid era.
I saw one a few days ago and I have to say, photos and video don't do it justice. It has real road presence, it's a good looking car.

But when I want to learn it it to control it, then (most times) I find myself behind the eight ball unless I concentrate intensely on the revs during shifting. But that is difficult at first to do (still learning) as torque and power develop exponentially when in the active secondary ignition chamber zone at higher 3500+ rpms. The unpredictability of it all is compounded by the fact that, in this zone, the power train suddenly becomes uncannily calm and smooth compared to the rest of the engine's 'grainy' nature ( compliments of no counter-balance shafts). With the MC20, the sensation can be explained by brief pause-sudden shove-exponentially growing shove only detectable by sudden suspension adaptation sounds and jitters when the road is not smoothe enough. I'll take mine in Silver.. I'm glad Maserati has a real player again..this video is more like a film. Carfection has beautiful production and vibe.. Henry, it looked like you were being bounced alot, but you kept a steady commentary, Bravo.
Sure a beautiful and poetic show. Absolutely amazing
Another beautifully crafted video.
The setting selector looks like a Rolex yachtmaster.
Remember when the Audi R8 came out, people wandered then if it was really a supercar. Looks like a similar situation here. Congrats on the one million subs.
This doesn't even look supercar, this is an hypercar.
@@your-neighbor There is absolutely nothing hyper about this car. It's just a sports car, that's it.
Maserati, the Red head of the car world. And that’s good!
Absolutely superb video. HC is next-level brilliant.
Love the rear, reminds me of the Birdcage concept! Someone for the love of cars please spec yours in the same two tone as the MC12 👌
So it's the Giulia Quadrifoglio engine but with the pre-chamber bit? The loss of the 130hp from the chamber would put the engine down to the same level as the Giulia QF.
Production quality of the charts.
One of the most beautiful cars out there
Just amazing editing as per usual!
I love the MC20. So many cars are overly engineered. This feels refreshingly elegant in its simplicity.
What a beautiful review.Bravo 👏👏👏
Thanks Henry!
epic cinematography, well done
The engine trickery you mentioned I believe comes from F1 AMG in particular, it's the reason Mercedes had such an advantage during the beginning of the turbo hybrid era.
