Ahh... really nice car and review!! :) Yes, that's funny and useful thing that the gages follow the adjustable steering wheel! :) The Nismo looks better! :) I think the black rims don't match so well with the red colour. First time I hear you saying the visibility is not so great. It is true with Z, but it didn't bother me! The price tag is incredible for this value! What I like about the Z is that you have the feeling you are driving a grown up sports car made from superior materials and with quality engineering. It doesn't feel cheap in anyway! In a Toyota GT-86 you kind of feel that it is a car they wanted to keep affordable. If you want to see this car in white with automatic transmission check out our experiences in Japan on my channel!! ;)
I got the 370Z sport coupe 6M with black exterior and black cloth interior. It looks like a hunkered down beast ready to lurch. I'm planning to replace most of the small amount of bright metal trim that it has with blacked out trim with a slight touch of red, to match my brake calipers and taillights.
I have a 2019 sport coupe and the interior is not a cheaped out "plastic fantastic" construct. It's a better fit and finish than the new Mustang GTs that I've sat in. Do you own a Z?
Does the standard Coupe version (not the sport) come with rev synchroing for downshifting in the standards or is that only with the sport and nismo edition packages? Anyone that helps, I really appreciate it.
I've always liked the Z. I kind of regret not getting one years ago. I leased a 2005 Altima SE-R and upon returning car, considered a 350Z Touring. My fiance kind of said no. I still got a good car but not the Z. Marriage didn't last and word of advice, do what you want no matter what. Life lesson, lol. Is the Nismo worth the upgrade?
+Gold Pony fair enough I have a g37 with the studio on wheels... it sounds great don't get me wrong... but it could use more low range bass and at high volumes like the last click or 2 I can hear a little disyortion.. but thank you man for a reply
The Z is a bit of on oddity, getting surprisingly close to the muscle car realm (for a Japanese vehicle that is). Honda has a very different character; lighter, higher revving, fun in a different way. I've been a fan of Honda (particularly their Acura line-up in North America) for years. In a perfect world, you'd have a Z, and Civic R in the stable. :D
Another great review Mr. Pony. This car is in real need for some torque. Not only because of the low numbers, but your pure lack of expression said it all...lol.
+c6rocks haha, No doubt I would definitely be a bigger fan if it had a little more power but the sweet spot for this one I think is that for the decent amount of power it does have it keeps getting above average reviews for the reliability...usually when performance increases...reliability diminishes...but Consumer Reports give this one well above average reliability so that's awesome!
Every time I pick up Consumer Report magazine they usually give this car a solid red circle which means reliability is "Much better then average" so check out that if you like but from what I've seen this is definitely one of the more reliable fun cars!
+Gold Pony thanks appreciate the response. have you driven a 2015+ Genesis coupe 3.8? I am pretty much between both of those. id have to get the 370z used tho
+Braeden Dempsey The Z has sharper handling, is faster, and Imo looks better for the same money. However if you need a back seat, and better visibility the Genesis coupe is still a great car.
I own a 370Z sport coupe that is my daily driver in the SF bay area. The car is very well made and is solidly built, much better than a car like the Mustang GT. Other than normal maintenance and normal care to not abuse the car, it is a very reliable and dependable car. It might be due, in part, because the car and its components are not outsourced, Nissan has total control over the quality. Nissan has a long heritage in racing and high-performance and I believe that there is an element of pride at work with this car.
Does anyone know what the insurance cost would be per year? Ideally I would like to know the cost in British Pounds but I guess USD is ok too. I can just convert it.
For a sports car its expected. What I mean by that is if another car hits me or I hit a tree, etc, I'd have to pay $500 out of pocket first before my insurance will cover it. The company I financed my vehicle from wouldn't let me get a deductible higher than $500 or else it would have been a cheaper monthly payment.
Hi Durandal. It's always interesting how one person's opinion can differ vary so much with that of another. Unlike you, I think the design has aged wonderfully. I bought a 2013 model in 2014 (this summer it will be four full years that I've had it), and I STILL look back towards the car, at least once, each time I park it and walk away. I think it looks better than most everything else on the road today. But I will agree the 300zx is also a sweet looking car.
Just bought a 2020 Passion red 6 speed manual base model. The thing I love about the Nissan “Z” series is that they kept the CD player as an option, because these days most brand new cars don’t have that option anymore. My ere is basically the 80’s so need I say more? From the outside though, trust me guys...you can’t tell the difference. When I test drove mines it had 3.3 miles on it! I’m super happy with my 370z👍🏽‼️
I own a red 2016 sport tech and i really like the car. Fun to drive and very fast with great handling.
Damn.... I never knew this channel existed.... SUBSCRIBED cuz of the cars, and especially the videography! Now you just need more B Rolls lol
+Nine IX09 Exactly! Thanks!
Awesome car! Had to watch again the review!! Nice shots!! The sound is the best!! :) Thanks!!
Great video indeed!! I’m getting one I’m 2 weeks with my car trade in. Can’t wait!!!
I bought a 2019 all-black sport coupe 6M and love it.
I always enjoy the videos you make of the 370z
0 to 60 is 4.6 seconds on automatic and also on the manual with a good driver!
Like you said. What’s not to like. I just bought a GT in white. I think it’s beautiful. Nice review.
Thanks!
great review ...the z along with the gtr is aging nicely..sounds great too

+rtcmanga Yea I remember your vid in the white one...definitely the perfect color on the Z! Didn't mind the red though.
Preciate this review good sir!
Fair summation of a classic. Nicely done!
+DT's Digital Den Thanks!
gettin mine in 4 months think I'm gonna get a black 370 looks meaner
professorchaos where the black 370z at?
Did you get it

that interior.... plastic fantastic looks like the old gtr interior but even lower build quality. on a tangent glad they updated the gtr interior.
I have a 2019 sport coupe and the interior is not a cheaped out "plastic fantastic" construct. It's a better fit and finish than the new Mustang GTs that I've sat in. Do you own a Z?
Nice review!
+AnonymousYT Thanks!

Only in the sport pack
awsome video!
+Ya Know Thanks!
Sport Tech is the highest trim you can get before the nismo.

how did the bose sound? any low end bass and at Hugh volumes did it distort?
+richard bean I always loved the bass in my G35...Didn't crank it up too loud in this one but what I did hear sounded really good!
+Gold Pony fair enough I have a g37 with the studio on wheels... it sounds great don't get me wrong... but it could use more low range bass and at high volumes like the last click or 2 I can hear a little disyortion.. but thank you man for a reply
Amazingly, I have an Infiniti G35 now about to trade for a Nissan 370Z!
Majestic one 27 hopefully you made the change
How much is this model tested? I am looking for a car with 27k. Any recommendation? GTI and mustang ecoboost premium are top in my list.
New is 29,999 starting but if you get a pre owned one that's a year old you can get a great deal
Well ✅ , hard to find honest reviewers!
+Serkan Ister Thanks!
Idk if it just me but I like the rims on the base model better than the sport rays
It's the black finish, but it's not just you, i like them better as well.
I wish Honda made a sports car/coupe to compete with the 370z and american muscle cars
+0legacyking0 Agreed!
later this year or early next year the type r will be here it'll be turboed and runs great numbers on the nurburgring
The Z is a bit of on oddity, getting surprisingly close to the muscle car realm (for a Japanese vehicle that is). 0legacyking0 I definitely agree
Is this the sport tech
Would you guys recommend this as a first car for a 19 year old?
Naw, too many speeding tickets, lol!
Suahve no
Sure just don’t be street racing

I don't see the point in the nismo. you get like 10 or 20 more horsepower? That's not much at all
For people that like to track it or for people that just want a better handling car. I know a dude who bought one just cause it's different too.
Look at that body kit it has on it, that's the only reason I would consider it but still that's 10 grand for a body kit.
I live in Florida would a 370z be a bad idea for a daily driver? like reliability
Every time I pick up Consumer Report magazine they usually give this car a solid red circle which means reliability is "Much better then average" so check out that if you like but from what I've seen this is definitely one of the more reliable fun cars!

What's the starting price
Around 29,000
ta chido
dat intro tho!
+Hendrik Mooi haha, yea was in the mood to do a little extra editing I guess!
Does anyone know what the insurance cost would be per year? Ideally I would like to know the cost in British Pounds but I guess USD is ok too. I can just convert it.
I pay 126 a month with a 500 deductible for both comprehensive and collision.
Matt34677 that's quite a lot, isn't it? And what do you mean by 500 deduction? Like what exactly?
For a sports car its expected. What I mean by that is if another car hits me or I hit a tree, etc, I'd have to pay $500 out of pocket first before my insurance will cover it. The company I financed my vehicle from wouldn't let me get a deductible higher than $500 or else it would have been a cheaper monthly payment.
Thats in U.S. dollars by the way.
Matt34677 Ah Ok. So do you think this car would be realistic to be someone's first car?
starting to look dated
Agreed, unlike the 300zx, this design did not age well at all IMO
still looks like a new styled car to me.
Hi Durandal.
It's always interesting how one person's opinion can differ vary so much with that of another. Unlike you, I think the design has aged wonderfully. Interior is dated , exterior still very nice for 2018
Yeah, like the 911 Porsche and Mazda Miata didn't look dated. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Thats Under 5 seconds 0 to 60...
G35 different engine than the 370z
doug demuro trashed this car but It still looks pretty nice
This thing is a legend and a bit behind the times but a blast to drive nonetheless! 🙌
Emotionless acceleration 😂
yea, its looking pretty old now, the 350Z's look even worse but thats the indicator of where this one is going.
The 911s and Miatas looked even older, as they went for many more years with virtually no cosmetic changes. If it ain't broke don't break it.
Sport = better rear diff, anything less is 100% pointless.
07wrxtr1 do you own one?
Yeap! It's garaged and waxed once a week (it is, my neighbors think I'm insane!)
I agree, you got to have posi-traction in a sports car. I got it in both my Mustang and Silverado.
Just bought a 2020 Passion red 6 speed manual base model.
