Amazing how Colin is talking away so casually while throwing the Subaru around those corners, such an amazing man, still can’t believe he’s not with us anymore.
15 years since Colin McRae died and this great video was uploaded, i was here once and left a like and a comment on an old you tube account, thank you for keeping this up to watch, one of my favorites to watch.
@@AidanMillward Probably true, but it still would have been a spectacular crash... Hope he rests in peace, anyway... Can you imagine Colin driving as the Stig? While listening to bagpipe music through the lap? Haha....
I didn't forget what he said to Schumacher: "We race any place, any time, any car. Just let me know." Colin is not dead, he live's in every rally fan's hart!!!
Every now and then I go on a Colin Mcrae video binge and every single time, without failure, this reporter/journalist impresses me. I'd be so giddy sitting next to Colin...you can see that on her face perfectly. What I wouldn't do to watch the master at work!
Same with my childhood Hero, Jim Clark. Not only F1 best driver...in my opinion, but a legend in saloon cars and running third on RAC rally till breakdown.
Just hearing his voice gives me the chills, that’s my childhood right there! He is still the ‘secret’ question answer when my bank asks who is my childhood hero is.
I got to talk to him in the NEC exhibition centre back in the 1988s, and what a decent bloke he was. There was none of that, i am too busy to talk to you stuff, just a pleasant down to earth Scottish lad, who obviously was born to drive a rally car fast. Its always a shame when someone so young and talented dies early, but i certainly have fond memories of those few minutes talking to him.
Finns used to jokingly call him Kilin-Colin as he so often seemed to crash or roll his car over. Kilinkolin is a kind of description of a sound hard objects make when they fall on hard surface or hit eachothers, like when kettles bang against eachother or something like that. He was a respected driver though, and everybody seemed to love him. He will be remembered.
Thanks for sharing your story from the other side of the pond. We used to say "If u r not crashing or going off course, you're not going fast enough!".
Madness how that Scooby looks so old fashioned compared to the rally cars of nowadays, always loved the late 90s early 2000s wrc days.. RIP Colin, from a fellow scotsman 🏴
Vikki genuinely adores speed and has zero fear. She is some girl. Most of us would be reaching for the sick bag never mind laughing at that dual experience.
Vicky Butler was just so giddy through all of this. It's no wonder why she got choked up at the McRae meet. RIP Colin you made me want to become a far better race car driver than I could ever imagine or hope to be.
lol he almost stalls it..... what a champion tho unbelievable driver. awesome driving control at 2:12 love the scandi flick at the end oh and the four wheel drive burnouts! R.I.P. Colin
totally agree!! The rally drivers are so much more laid back and friendly than in any other motorsport. I was lucky enough to go to a rally here in america and got to ride in what we call an open class car and got to talk to all of the drivers and crews. Awesome atmosphere in rallying!!
I'm lucky enough to currently own an Impreza WRX and previously I owned a 911, both of which (their idiosyncrasies aside) are excellent cars in my opinion. McRae drives 'em both like a true pro. I miss seeing him on the WRC, every time I let one of my friends drive my Impreza I say ,"no Colin McRae-esque driving!" McRae was certainly a legend, RIP!
This woman is absolutely adorable. You can tell she has 100% confidence in his driving skills, and is truly enjoying herself. The funny face she makes while imitating the steering at 0:24, is cute as hell.
ive always wondered why the rally cars had such skinny tires fitted onto them... or they look skinnier than well very aggressive fitments we see on the street... anybody explain?
Hell, Colin is making a conversation like he is stuck somewhere in traffic and the car is at no speed...unbelievable :) Such a tranquility. Truly master of drivers!
@MrLinkMrLink of course you're right. I didn't look on that vid as an interview, just wanted to enjoy Colin's drive. But as you said - she is doing her job.
she was enjoying the ride in the porche, you can tell the diffrence when she was in the subie if you notice was diferent even that she handle the ride pretty good she was learning from the best driver of all the times (for me ) she was very fortune ......... colin is the best
Amazing how Colin is talking away so casually while throwing the Subaru around those corners, such an amazing man, still can’t believe he’s not with us anymore.
2:15 'I thought we we're going off there"
He was simply genius behind the wheel. RIP Colin McRae.
Gotta love that effortless Scandinavian flick.

idriwzrd McRae's style Scandinavian flik on tarmac.. Jesus!
Love the way Vicki is grinning her head off and not screaming like a scared girl/boy..
She's used to speed
Love Vicki full stop...
VBH is very cool. 😎😎. And don’t forget she can pilot a car also. 👍🏻👍🏻
Untill you go offroad and find some deep water 😅😅 she will scream and panic her lungs out

1:06 --- "Driving like Jason (Plato)" -- Colin was funny
The man that could go 100% flat out and still be cool. Sorely missed, taken too soon. R.i.P Colin McCrae
I didn't forget what he said to Schumacher: "We race any place, any time, any car. Just let me know." Colin is not dead, he live's in every rally fan's hart!!!
Colin McRae on the Top gear test track, hell yes, no one would have been anywhere near him.
Chunkymonkey7 You know, him against the F1 racers, it would’ve been really cool...
total legend RIP Colin McRae u were amazing
Mr McRae could make any car dance,
A True Legend.
Big Love, Buddy.
What car control Colin had. The roots of modern drifting yet for going faster - beautiful. Art in motion.

R.I.P Colin

another legend of racing gone before his time. RIP, you were one of the greats.
Thanks for the hint Jason
I like Scottish accent in general, but I just LOVE the way Colin said Subaru:D
Impresionante, Colin. Nos llena la emoción. Descansa en paz.
I love how at :24, she copies Colin's steering movement. Cutest shit ever.
Nikkhil LaCoul Don't know if you're aware but she is a fucking awesome driver too
When you listen to McRae talk he doesn't sound like the mad max driver we love. Hope there is a race track where he is
Boëthius M rally track
Probably he is already back and training on rally cars again...!!!

Talking so calm as he throws that sub around. Always brings a smile to my face watching Colin

The legend that is Colin McRae, and of course the lovely Vicki ❤
one of my childhood heroes !! rip man we miss you rallying is no longer the same.
Wow what a cool dude. Damn he could drive!
Una guida davvero spettacolare.
Nelle sue mani vedi la diifferenza tra una Porche ed una macchina preparata da rally.
Awesome................ Vicki is amazing...... Colin is just a legend. :-)
What a Legend. One of my rallying heroes
Its amazing how he plays with the car weight in the corners.
RIP Colin
that lady is one of the luckiest person in the world... #ripColinMcrae
No, her husband/boyfriend is,
Vicki Butler-Henderson
Vikki genuinely adores speed and has zero fear. She is some girl. Most of us would be reaching for the sick bag never mind laughing at that dual experience.
colin was not only one of the best rally drivers he was such a good role model too. i grew up watching him allot. and still do.
Vicky Butler was just so giddy through all of this. It's no wonder why she got choked up at the McRae meet. RIP Colin you made me want to become a far better race car driver than I could ever imagine or hope to be.
i just love the straight gear sound
lol he almost stalls it..... what a champion tho unbelievable driver. awesome driving control at 2:12 love the scandi flick at the end oh and the four wheel drive burnouts! R.I.P. Colin

Colin, in a blue Subaru, with gold wheels, going sideways......... That's how we remember him ☺️
If I had a thousandth of your skill I would be happy.I grew up watching you and thank you. RIP Collin
This is a video you never want to end. was the best of what he did 👍👍👍🏴✌️RIP
The most gifted rally driver the world has watched.
We all miss you colin ... great smile for a super great man
This woman is absolutely adorable. You can tell she has 100% confidence in his driving skills, and is truly enjoying herself. The funny face she makes while imitating the steering at 0:24, is cute as hell.
I love how he's so casual about tossing the car around the circuit like that
Just by her reaction the Porsche was more fun. #RIPColin
going sideways is always funnier. Going fast becomes scary real quick when trees are passing faster than you can count.
Such a loss to the racing world. Legend.
Vbh grinning throughout says it all about his skill.
The way he played around wid the car... flicked it on the corners..
shows his brilliance..
R.I.P Colin McRae.. !!!!
He is a legend! Godspeed sir.
Vicki BH and Colin McRae. Legends.
My best friend Robyn's daughter is Colin's co-driver/navigator, a big call out for her TONI FEAVER, what an amazing pair . Champions both.

What a super talented racer Colin was. Very sadly missed by all
What an amazing driver he was. The best in my opinion.
That last corner was perfect. RIP Colin.
ive always wondered why the rally cars had such skinny tires fitted onto them... or they look skinnier than well very aggressive fitments we see on the street... anybody explain?
Colin and a Porsche is 2 epic legends coming together. the car suits his driving-style exeptionaly.
1:24 Was that 550 GTS the one he drove at Le Mans? (in 2004, i think)
Love that air cooled sound.
I wonder how the 2 rally cars compare in terms of weight, top speed and 0-60mph or 0-100km/h.
Also how many revs are these cars limited to.
What happened to the Prodrive and Subaru association?
I miss Colin so much
watched this in 2022 and loved every second
Doesn't doing doughnuts in a 4WD car screw the G/Box and the centre diff?
That's one hell of a scandinavian flick there @ 2:56
R.I.P Colin...big fan from Egypt!
colin was the reason that i boucht my WRX
Hell, Colin is making a conversation like he is stuck somewhere in traffic and the car is at no speed...unbelievable :) Such a tranquility. Truly master of drivers!

Colin + Subaru = Rally Perfection!!!
it was a gesture indicating perfection
Colin was just awesome, not only skill-wise, but spirit-wise. Dude had guts.
@MrLinkMrLink of course you're right. I didn't look on that vid as an interview, just wanted to enjoy Colin's drive. But as you said - she is doing her job.
she loves it. grinning from ear to ear
The Legend! Both Colin and impreza...
Amazing when you find gems like this.
Vicky Butler Henderson was the subject of many crushes in the late 90's.
R.I.P. Colin... we all Miss Your Glory... those times of WRC was so complete and full of rage...
lucky girl!!
One of the best drivers ever.
R.I.P. Colin
I so much agree with you, just look at how he flicks it before the corner so that he gets the tail out.
absolutely miss this guy just an absolute driving god and still as down to earth as they come
i love the way they are having a proper conversation when they are speeding with like 160-180!
It would have been cool to see him trying the Group A Prodrive BMW E30 M3 rally car. I bet he would give quite a show.
2:13 pure control
she was enjoying the ride in the porche, you can tell the diffrence when she was in the subie if you notice was diferent even that she handle the ride pretty good she was learning from the best driver of all the times (for me ) she was very fortune ......... colin is the best
