Damn proud to be an alumni of this corps and having the honor of playing with them on that field and calling Willie my drum major.
They should seriously consider putting Autumn Leaves in a show again, especially with the sound they have now... I think it would be nice.
So proud that I got to play Autumn Leaves this evening with such a talented group of musicians and to finally be able to say that Willie Veenstra was my Drum Major. Proud to be BLOO Alumni 1993 Euphonium. Go Blooo.

The best part about being at this show was watching the pit/percussion/CG all wrap their arms around each other in a domino effect during autumn leaves. It was my favorite moment of the entire DCI season. Also it's weird seeing yourself in a video (Inferno shirt/Orange shorts standing on the rail)

mmmmmmmmmmannnnnn. when they resolve and settle into the chord at 12:38 .... the tubas have juuuuuuuust the right amount of edge at the cutoff there. absolute, total perfection. low brass rules.

WOW, that was the most powerful run of the boxer i've heard in this whole past decade!! maybe it's partially because of this amazing audio quality, but man, that ensemble sound was HUGE

The muted trumpet in the beginning of autumn leaves was nice, although I Haven't heard it in any other recording. Was a nice touch. ^^

I almost like the trumpet soloist not being miced in the ballad. Its like the lone voice being overshadowed in large, sweeping chords

Just have one question. Does this encore happen only in their Ohio show? Or can it happen at other shows? And if so how does get the corps to do an encore do they chant encore or something? Thx!
most encores are for the corps that sponsored the show. Another way is at finals it will go to the world champion. This specific encore of usually done by the bluecoats at one of our two home shows in either Massillon or Akron. If you notice the guys wearing shorts are alumni who have aged out and who are now playing with RIB the alumni corps of the Bluecoats.

I'm a middle schooler going into high school next year and I know how to play the euphonium part of the Ballad p.s I'm 1st chair euph player
Stop bragging there's a High school Junior that plays euphonium and this is his third year meaning he's been with them since his freshman year
the euph part isnt hard, no one gives a shit
Haters also why do we care anyways also I won't give a fuck and the euphonium isn't even appreciated even though it is the only instrument with a beautiful sound than a stupid woodwind or other low brass instrument
