- This is a video from the Bluecoats' rehearsal on June 25th, 2016 at the Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon, Ohio. This full run was just hours before their performance at the "Innovations in Brass" competition being held in that same stadium. I had to get a low angle this time because I didn't have time to make my way up all the way to the top, let alone get a good seat. I think the footage still turned out fairly decent. Note how the camera still shakes from the pure power the ensemble creates. I believe all of the special effects and electronics functioned without a hitch this run. I could be wrong though, don't hold me to that. Another thing to note is that I switched the angle at the very end because my iPhone stopped recording because it overheated. Watch the guy playing the bass drum. Notice the little exact dot where he hits. I don't think I've ever seen anyone hit a drum with such accuracy or precision.
Shot on an iPhone 6.

I swear I am so tired of hearing folks say it's dirty. I'm gonna just say you can call it whatever you wish but it cannot be denied that this is more entertaining, fun, appealing, etc. I know of only a small number of shows that literally gives me goosebumps and this one does it for me. I totally love this show! Thank you for posting and Bluecoats for making it great!
I love the music except for the pit has some MAJOR phasing issues.
Thank you for this!
All the brass' tuning is so sharp!
seriously on fire!!!!!!
I saw you filming this lol
lol
Love it! Blooo!
Man, I honestly like this ending to the show more than their final ending
Nah bro the final ending is way better
Very nice job
Thank you!
That trumpet solo at 4:13 had me dying 😥👌
If you pan the cam to the far right during the second half of the ballad, you can see me gawking by the parking lot like a total fanboy 😂
Wow I had not realized that like rewind part at 5:00!
omg there ballad! 6:49
😍
How long will you be following the corps?
Unfortunately I don't have the time or money to continue following any of the corps around. However, I will be going to the show in Massillon in August so look for some stuff coming out of that.
+Nick Langer awesome thanks
Is it possible for these to get taken down?
Yes unfortunately it is quite easy for Drum Corps International to get video taken down since they technically own the content. However I am uploading these for "educational purposes" so hopefully they won't take these down.
+Nick Langer Yeah I had a feeling. Ok well thank you for uploading them.
Why is there such little pit?
thats less than half. you can only see one side of the field of the pit
ok about half
Ah gotcha
Imagine what you see on camera doubled. That's about the size of their pit. Maybe slightly bigger.
Contra players like "look ma no hands" at 6:27
Pretty sure he's still holding on with his right hand
get a side 2 angle next time for true symmetry
Lol will do
Same writing themes as last year..
That's to be expected, to some extent, considering I'm pretty sure they have a set writing staff.
The guitar strum at 5:31 is extremely cheeky.
and 10:43
