It was SOOOOOO much fun to play The Boxer at their audition camp last weekend in Texas. That alone literally made it worth the $200.00. Playing Hymn of Acxiom certainly helped too :D
I was 13 when I first saw that show. Our band director showed it to us. Ever since then it has been my dream to march. I’m 16 now and marching my first summer with southwind. I plan on eventually moving on up to the Corp that inspired me to do this in the first place.
I can honestly listen to Bluecoats play The Boxer 100 times and never get tired of it. That is such a beautiful piece and this is coming from a drummer.
I marched in dci that year, watching their show every chance I could, and this home show we stayed a bit longer to see this. Glad we did because when they got right up and personal, I was sitting there going like "oh this is gunna be good"... Right at 19:59 they BLEW MY FACE OFF WITH SOUND
my region in texas has an auxiliary competition and drum majors could pick a solo to conduct to and picked the opener my junior year and won :’) i’m missin my glory days
Corps who sing their music as a choir are fabulous
agreed
you got that right.
Just the fact that they still play previous shows just makes me me feel like there's hope in this world
Well said.
especially now

OMG... Creep!!! OMG
Willie turning around with his hands still up during boxer gave me goosebumps
13:20 If you only have a minute to watch this, watch this part.

Amazing year for DCI. So many good shows. Bluecoats could have won it any other year if it wasn't for Felliniesque and Tilt.

It's so weird hearing their show music while they are standing still, you expect to see them moving across their positions on the field lol
