    The New Forest is great... out of season, but in spring and summer it is packed. With regards to Morrison's cafe food, it is good and they often have a kind of meal deal thing which makes it a little less expensive. I recently paid my first ever visit to West Bay. I went over to Windy Corner Cafe, which is in the same building that Helmet City is in, the breakfast was excellent. I like the look of Rugged Roads, it's only a couple of hours ride from me, but I'd have to leave my wallet at home, cos the stuff in there looks well tasty.

      I’ve only used them on my GS1300 but they are exactly as you describe, an affordable version of the Moskos
      On my bike they tie to the rear foot peg hangers and sit over the rear seat. That leaves the rear rack free and available plus whatever is in the beaver tail provides a back rest.

      Is that a Freudian slip there BMWgsrider905 "love"

    • @andycapp3867
      @andycapp3867 2 місяці тому

      I’m fortunate to have the Tenere World Raid and the Chinese Voge 900. The Tenere has been remapped and it has improved it no end. The Voge 900 is better however as stock and pulls really well. My first Voge was the 650 and at 2 1/2 years old, ridden throughout the seasons I traded it in with little if any rust and nothing had failed, it really was a great fun, big single thumper, with the19” front wheel you really could throw it around on the twisties, loved it.
      The 900 is a far better bike but not as much fun, with all the gadgets the old tradition of actually riding the machine, working the gearbox has almost gone.
      The crunch…..would I buy another Voge?
      My experience with the importers, MotoGB has been incredibly disappointing. The dealers have trouble communicating with MotoGb and so I tried, first by email…..totally ignored my very simple and straight forward question and so I called them only to be told…..contact your dealer…..I rang them at the dealers suggestion because the dealer couldn’t provide an answer.
      If they ignore the customer, if they don’t support the dealer with warranty claims as is rumoured, I wouldn’t buy another Voge here in the UK.
      Voge in Europe have a five year warranty on the 900, the manufacturer obviously have faith in their product. But here in the UK if you cant get any assistance from the authorised dealer / importer should things go wrong it creates doubt.
      The engineering quality is as good as anything from Japan, Germany (read China) or Austria (again read China) and I’ve had BMW GS bikes going back to the Paris Dakar twin valve models.
      The 900 really is a great bike but I would not buy another based on my experience to date, which is unfortunate.
      Had there been as an optional extra the choice of tubeless tyres/wheels when buying the Tenere, I wouldn’t have looked at the 900 Voge. Parts are readily available with a global dealership network. With the Voge you have little choice when it comes to dealers and a major service with an overnight stay at Premier Inn is no joke.
      The 650 was a low cost motorcycle, if things went wrong it wouldn’t have mattered too much if I had a long wait for parts for instance but for £9200 you should at least get a reply form the importer, to be ignored is seriously unprofessional.
      Do your research before buying Chinese………my opinion ……..they will become the new Honda….eventually.

People dont like to gamble with their own money and so it takes a long time before there have been enough youtubers who have actually put real miles on them to prove their worth.... It was the same story with the Benelli TRK's for example i reviewed some time ago... Now they are everywhere and best sellers in Europe, I suspect Voge will have the same success in time

CFmoto were clever in giving some bikes to be used and abused by UA-camrs, I watched one guy take his loan bike and did 10k km off road and gave a true to life user experience and almost nothing went wrong or any major issues.... Ok thats only 6k miles But this is defo the way to sell the bike and gain brand confidence. Have they increased the service intervals on the CFmoto yet? Every 3k miles was how it started which is no good, but i believe it was planned to be changed to 6k?

    Yes, the question pops up very frequently now: Do you want to spend more on a motorcycle and get less in gadgets, but you do get a lot of reliability and a good working service and dealer network with over 50 years of experience--> get the Japanese Yamaha XT700, or...
    Do you pay less and get more in gadgets, but you are buying something of which nobody can tell you how well it is and how long it will last, without a thorough dealer network and at the dealers barely any knowledge of this specific motorcycle, and the engine block is derived from a KTM block... yes so a KTM dealer will be able to work on it, you think, so everything really is the same...? --> get a Chinese CF Moto, or any other Chinese product.
    Yes, in some cases, a Chinese motorcycle may have some advantages... But the quality of all separate parts together gives the motorcycle the reliability, or not !
    And the rule is: you're paying less for something which in theory should be worth more. That's the theory, now I would not want to be the one to find out that in practice the theory does not fly. There is a very well reason why you pay less to get "more". --> first question--> Do you really get "more" when your Chinese pride and joy breaks down on a regular basis? And you will not be able to find a dealer of the Chinese product you bought, nor any dealer who's willing to wrench on your Chinese bike... Especially not under warranty? And how about getting Chinese warranty…? Do you…?
    All with all, I would not have to blink my eyes to get the Yamaha XT700--> Absolutely ! After all, am I the true professional who's able to really get the theoretical "more" out of the Chinese bikes--> No I am not, and so is not the vast majority of riders I think. And am I willing to have to deal with potential warranty issues or maintenance issues or lack of Chinese parts issues and non-fitting OEM KTM parts issues. There is a very good reason why you pay less for a Chinese bike, and in theory they do seem to have advantages, but do they really..? Or will you find out in the middle of nowhere that this just is not the case really.
    Its cheap. There is a very good reason for that. Ask yourself the question: do you want to be the one to find out why…?

    To buy Chinese or not chinese🤔 I think this will be a debate which will go on for quite some time, The chinese are turning out lovely looking bikes which seem very capable of lasting the time, fully kitted out ready to go travelling with, all the top notch electronic gizmos. Whilst they have not been in the UK for a long time, in the EU they have been around alot longer and have some great reviews from owners who have put a fair amount of milage on them and put them thru there paces. compared to the Japanese and German bikes the prices seem to be a bargain. Now this is also forcing other manufacturers to offer better deals and with/or free accessories to sweeten the sales. The ones I feel sorry for is the owners of bikes that are 1-3 yrs old as they are now not worth very much, depreciation has always been high in the first couple of years but now they are not worth very much at all. If I had the funds to buy new I would defo look at the new chinese offerings, but I dont. So instead I took advantage of the crashing second hand market and bought a German machine which is tried and tested will go on for ever (hopefully) which is in showroom condition with stupidly low miles for less then half of the Kove 800/voge 900 OK so what I bought isnt new and it's out of warranty but to me at this time as funds allow it seems a better deal. Always waiting with anticipation as to what your next videos will be, a great mixed bag of vids at the mo which is great, your reviews of the bikes are more real world as you use them as 95% of us would and say it exactly as you find it. out of curiosity what is your thoughts on the second hand market? how do you feel what your twins are worth in money value? are they worth more to you as they do everything you want them too? or would you be willing to sell/trade them in for a low price against one of the lower priced chinese bikes? Keep the vids coming ATB.

    • @ontheroadadventure
      @ontheroadadventure  2 місяці тому +1

      Thanks and great comments, I think I can answer this by saying the depreciation on a new £20k+ GS or a new 18k AT will be more in 2 years than the cost of a Kove or voge for example, so worst case scenario the Chinese bike lasted two years before it went bang… You’d still be better off financially than buying a new Main brand adventure bike…

    When I was shopping for a new bike in 2022 I had the choice of either a CF Moto or a Kawasaki. Knowing what I know about Chinese made products I chose the Kawasaki Versys 650 and have already 35,000 km on it. Its many scars and scratches attest to its having been on adventures on some sketchy roads. I ride on Shinko E 705s. At 479 lbs, its not too heavy to pick up which is important especially for we older riders. I'll be 74 on Boxing Day. As for riding in the rain, I don't like it, especially when my visor becomes suddenly impossible to see through and I have to 'feel' my way to the shoulder to avoid riding blind. I almost hit a deer the other day when it suddenly appeared right at my front wheel whilst on Alberta Hwy 11. I was toodling along at 110. Close call. Somehow that creature managed to dart out of the way. It all happened in a split instant. That's what riding a bike is all about, eh? It's like you are constantly inside a video game.
