I demand Nathan's suggestion of "Bosses we cheesed and would cheese again" My entry: Demon of Hatred in Sekiro. I have got the Platinum for that game and did a full playthrough every time to see every ending, so no tricks with save files. However, I only ever beat the Demon of Hatred with the very well known cheese method of him throwing himself off the cliff.
I remember very well the pain of fighting Silver. There was one point where he had me cornered against the wall, so was able to pick me up immediately after I recovered, but he kept throwing me through the one ring I had so I was stuck in an endless loop of "It's no use" and "Take this".
FF7 remake build up your limit break and nearly staggering the boss only for them to do their magical cutscene move rendering all that pressure null and void
Happy to say I've finally platinumed Bloodborne after your inspiring streams. Got stuck on Amygdala for a while too until I learned to bait the jump in phase three. Stand still, when it lands hit the head and run between the legs again, it will jump again. Repeat until dead.
@@sonicrules666 Yeah the DLC bosses were some of the harder ones. Although I did Orphan of Kos on the first go. The giant sharks in the fishing village well were harder. I'm not proud but I cheesed them from the ledge with my Boom Hammer so I could grab the weapon...
The amygdala jump didn't bother me that much. It was when it did its fast, random multiple hand stomps that you can't see because of the camera...... in fact the camera is the cheapest move every boss uses in a fromsoft game 😅
Rom the spider { Dungeon Version } that was quite hard because it was in such a small area compared to the main game. Its jump attack was such a pain in there
Bahamut summoning Ifrit in the pride and joy battle simulator in FF7R, actually any boss that summons other enemies. Beat me yourself or get out of my way, absolute cowards move and it’s so cheap. Fighting a giant monster and getting beaten by a nothing minion is so unbelievably frustrating
The fight with the Mallboro was so infuriating for me. I beat joy and pride first try but that monster battle took me so long, and then I didnt save assuming auto save kicked in and had to do it again. I almost quit the plat then but I chugged through it and did it
Dont you fight Bahamut 3 on 1? And you call him a coward fore making it a 3 on 2? In most stories the heros team up against a villain so I dont find it unfaire at all that the villain makes use of his minions. By your logic most heroes are cowards who gang up on singular enemies.
@@Pnthrx So that depends, that's only if you're directly by the tail. It looks like Ash is actually running behind the Amygdala which can make the jump attack be very frustrating. The trick is to not go past the tail.
I just beat all the top secret boss fights in ff7 remake last night and I have to say, Bahamut summoning Ifrit probably takes the cake for me. Similar to what Ash was saying, that move belongs in the free pile at a garage sale!
And then once you get past Ifrit you still have to deal with MegaFlare! Ugh I was so aggravated. Hell House w/ the tonberries and Cutter/Sweeper was cheap too. Hardest two things in hard mode imo.
@@savvynanah92 I would have to agree. Unless you cheese him to prevent Ifrit and megaflare in the first place, he seems pretty much impossible. Unless your a pro or a madman anyway.
Yeah, I was trying to think of the hardest boss for me in Bloodborne and Amy didn't even register. When I got the plat and it had to be the Blood Starved Beast, don't know why but just couldn't get past him for the longest time. The true hardest boss of that game though is the well sharks.

Like Blood Starved Beast and Martyr Logarius were the only 2 bosses I ended up summoning help for on my first playthrough and they are rarely on any bodies difficulty list. Meanwhile Orphan of Kos is at the top of most and I beat him on my third attempt, maybe it's because I was an agility build and most internet people tend to use strength builds but idk.
@@saadashraf786 I think my main issue with it was Bloodborne was the first souls game I played where I didn't have an excuse to farm enemies so I wasn't nearly as overpowered as I was in DS 1 and 2.
Hahaha... Amygdala from the Defiled Chalice Dungeon was one of the hardest bosses I ever fought. It was the first time in my life that I really questioned myself... The issue with it is that you fight it in a very tight space. In the end I beat it by taking all my time fighting it, not being too greedy and focusing on taking little chunks of its life. Whew!
For Ash: From what I remember from my playthrough years ago, for Amygdala in the defiled chalice, either run behind and hit until it jumps, then DONT MOVE and he will will always never hit you and land with his head directly in front of you for an attack……. I also had some success staying wayyyyy back to bait the orb attack where all his limbs and head linger on the ground, you can run in and smack his arms or head this way and run out to repeat.
isn't that the one that inflicts zombie? i'd say that one is actually rather useful because it makes your party immune to that one one-hit attack. just make sure you have at least one member of the party inflicted with zombie.
The attack from Amygdala is extremely predictable, her head ends up where her tail just was. If I had to nominate a cheap boss from Bloodborne, it's Laurence. *Screams in fire and a "variable combo"*
OMG Ash literally read my mind..... Tip to do it: #1 run towards its tail through between its legs. Tip#2: stand absolutely still while it jumps( this is a bit of hit of miss mostly hit) Hope it helps you and you get ur plat like i did..
In RE 3 remake at the very end Nemesis hits you with an attack that knocks you over and then follows it up with another attack but it’s so fast that your still stuck in the animation of being knocked over and you can LITERALLY do nothing about it. You can’t heal can’t dodge nothing. It was so annoying especially on the hardest difficulties. I mean why not just have that attack be a one hit kill then? I mean I’ve played games where bosses can stun you but you still always have some chance to escape by button mashing or something. The fact that you can LITERALLY do nothing is super annoying.
Since we're talking about Bloodborne, my vote definitely goes to Ludwig. Specifically, his dash attack in horse mode that just seem to come out of nowhere. All of his attacks are manageable in comparison.
Nah, slow and steady hits on the watchdog won it for me in a couple of tries. The trick is to be super patient and carefully choose when to attack. Amy was a nightmare though...
Taron Malicos from jedi fallen Order. Not one move but the mechanic that his combos got longer the more you lowered his health. So just when you had the muscle memory down that you can safely attack once he's done move x he goes and extends the combo to punish you brutally for moving in too early. I mean, it's genius and one of my favorite boss fights of all time but it objectively is also a very cheap move

I feel you, Ash. I struggled off and on in Bloodborne, but chalice Amygdala was the only moment of "... I dunno if I can do this." Eventually did, but MAN it was a slog.
I thought about rolling back Returnal to day one. So many of the early game tips were based on mechanics they changed or made way harder. Still a game i want to love but just cant. It blows my mind how popular the game is considering only about 40% of all players passed the 2nd boss.
1. Everything every dark souls boss does. 2. Final boss in Horizon Forbidden West. 3. Final boss in Vampyre. 4. Every boss in any given game with ads/henchmen or mini mes.
Lots to choose from but as someone who’s not very good at fighting games, Braniac from Injustice 2 was one of the most rage inducing fights for me. Solely based on his move where he summons a giant robot worm from the floor and ceiling that can drain 75% or more of your health
The Amygdala jump is super easy to avoid.. As soon as it jumps just dont move at all. It will never land directly on you if you stand still, and it also gives you a free shot or two at its bean head
Not sure if this will help for Amygdila Ash but when she jumps stay completely still and you will never get hit. Her legs will land right next to you and you can slash them a few times and repeat.
when nath talked about the boss getting updated to be harder reminds me of when I aimed for the platinum in saints row 4 and a thing you had to do was fly around in a vehicle a lot so I would have my game running flying back and forth on the map for 3 days straight and on the day I finally got it the game was updated and the amount you had to fly was lowered a lot so I earned that platinum when it was harder and took more effort
Amygdala was very tough in defiled dungeon! I fortunately found a video on UA-cam with a very good method using lothricks holy blade and standing in certain place using charge attacks! I then managed to find a kind soul who helped me through rest of chalice dungeons as was feeling a bit chalic dungeoned out by then lol.
Hmm. What immediately comes to mind is Ice Titan from the KH1 remaster. The original was pretty slow with its movements and even with low health, it's ice bullets were easy to reflect and the pattern gave you some time. Not to mention the original had a tech health bar for that very mechanic. But the remaster is a constant spammer once it gets to critical health that you have the tiniest window to actually attack it.
For me, it would be any instant kill attacks in RPGs. One that comes to mind is the final boss in legend of dragoons. I love the game but I remember hating that battle
Should make a list of "Bosses That Bug Out and Make the Fight Harder". I had it on Dark Souls... "The Three Kings" turned into The Four kings. Also Spyro 2... having two Riptos as the last battle. I'm sure there are more, lol ; D
For Defiled Amygdala, you can cheese it by gluing yourself under its legs and tail and just wail on that tail. When it jumps DO NOT MOVE. If you don't it should land safely above you and you can continue. If you're bold you can roll out when it jumps to hit its head, but the margin of error is nonexistent so it's safer to just go the lomg, cheesy way. I have a vid on my channel in the Bloodborne playlist that shows how I did it.
i saw you break the Amygdala's limb and then run off.... when the blood comes gushing out of a limb and they stagger, that limb is broken and will take increased damage until the boss recovers. I think all the beast type bosses do this so when you break a limb, capitalize on it. otherwise, happy hoonting, hoonter!
Ebrietas' charge is definitely my least favourite move in Bloodborne. The hitbox seems significantly larger than the model and the telegraph isn't especially clear. It took dozens of missed dodges to figure out the timing and it's the kind of attack that tends to come when you're least ready for it. I dread fighting her every time just because relearning how to avoid that one move makes me sad.
Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts 2. His final attack is shooting lasers at Sora and Riku, you have to hit X to protect Sora and triangle to protect Riku. Young me simply couldn't move my thumb fast enough to hit both buttons. So I had to get through all the phases of the fight just to lose on that, eventually I learned to just use fingers and it was easy, but still salty.
2 mentions of 1 bloodborne boss, but no mention of the nightmare boss fight. The dude runs from you, has undying mobs everywhere, and in stage 2 he spams his 2 magic attacks, one of which is almost impossible to tank because 2 or 3 projectiles will kill you. I found a exploit to beat him without entering the trap box in stage 2.

I actully like those bosses. If I can not prevent ore overcome there healing abillty I can not win at all. That is a unic problem which is fun to deal with and it makes dealing that killing blow all the more satisfaying. I have to say that healing move Young Xehanort from Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance does is so dam cool and stylish. I love that clock spell.
I have a fighting game boss..... Jinpachi from Tekken 5. He is so cheap, sometimes even when you do your 10-string combo with your character.... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COMBO.... he stuns you with his stun-move and he goes back and does a fireball. He even does a double fireball sometimes, when you manage to escape his normal fireball too many times...... just to make sure that you are getting hit for sure, cause his second fireball goes in that direction where you are standing. Its hard to explain, but people who played Tekken 5 on PS2..... they know what I´m talking about.
Anti black coat from Kingdom hearts Dream Drop Distance The move where he fires a line of energy along the floor, across the whole arena, hard to dodge and if it hits you're launched into the air and brought down to 1 hp, then he rushes up to you and attacks near instantly most often killing you and forcing you to start all over again. Or Young Xehanort (same game) and his rewinding time when he loses forcing you to destroy his clock icon before time runs out whilst being attack by an invincible clone of himself, fail that and he heals back 2 health bars, take those out and he summons the clock again.
A possible video idea, “bad” video game scenes we will defend. Mine would be the FFX laughing scene, it’s not as bad as people make it out to be, in the scene they know it’s weird, silly and awkward but do it anyway for a laugh.
I remember literally studying Amgdala in Bloodborne, like, down to the exact moves you can do to bait her slam attack that leaves her head more vulnerable. I had to LEARN that stuff down to where her arms would land so I could run between the gap and attack as quickly as I could. Your window is about 5 seconds or something, it is rough.
I agree about that stun move, he uses it way too much. Even though the fireball attack is deadly, it is easy to dodge by sidestepping out of the way. The only snag is that he sometimes shoots more than one of them. I dodge the first fireball but end up immediately getting hit by a 2nd one.

If you stand still, the Amygdala jump attack will often miss.
Yes, just freeze in place the second it jumps.
Also, the head ends up where the tail was when she jumps.
Not even often, it will never hit you and you'll get free hits straight to the head.

I always solo Yunalesca with Bahamut. He is immun to both Zombie and that instant kill attack.

Micolash easily from Bloodborne. You chase him around for 10 minutes to corner him then he pulls that bs Arcane move and one-shots you.
You gotta pretty much stay very close to him and he’ll only use the Augar or his fists. Get to far, and you’re screwed.
Loch shield! Its a livesaver especially on new game plus playthroughs. Whats almost a one shot kill gets reduced to a tickle

Lots to choose from but as someone who’s not very good at fighting games, Braniac from Injustice 2 was one of the most rage inducing fights for me. Solely based on his move where he summons a giant robot worm from the floor and ceiling that can drain 75% or more of your health

The Amygdala jump is super easy to avoid.. As soon as it jumps just dont move at all. It will never land directly on you if you stand still, and it also gives you a free shot or two at its bean head
That didn't work for me every time. Yes, I did it always the same way. No, I'm not screaming.
Not sure if this will help for Amygdila Ash but when she jumps stay completely still and you will never get hit. Her legs will land right next to you and you can slash them a few times and repeat.

when nath talked about the boss getting updated to be harder reminds me of when I aimed for the platinum in saints row 4 and a thing you had to do was fly around in a vehicle a lot so I would have my game running flying back and forth on the map for 3 days straight and on the day I finally got it the game was updated and the amount you had to fly was lowered a lot so I earned that platinum when it was harder and took more effort
Amygdala was very tough in defiled dungeon!
I fortunately found a video on UA-cam with a very good method using lothricks holy blade and standing in certain place using charge attacks!
I then managed to find a kind soul who helped me through rest of chalice dungeons as was feeling a bit chalic dungeoned out by then lol.

Hmm. What immediately comes to mind is Ice Titan from the KH1 remaster. The original was pretty slow with its movements and even with low health, it's ice bullets were easy to reflect and the pattern gave you some time. Not to mention the original had a tech health bar for that very mechanic. But the remaster is a constant spammer once it gets to critical health that you have the tiniest window to actually attack it.
For me, it would be any instant kill attacks in RPGs. One that comes to mind is the final boss in legend of dragoons. I love the game but I remember hating that battle

@ASH the trick with chalice amygdala is when she jumps, stand perfectly still. She’ll miss. Any time I ever moved I got hit
For Defiled Amygdala, you can cheese it by gluing yourself under its legs and tail and just wail on that tail. When it jumps DO NOT MOVE. If you don't it should land safely above you and you can continue. If you're bold you can roll out when it jumps to hit its head, but the margin of error is nonexistent so it's safer to just go the lomg, cheesy way. I have a vid on my channel in the Bloodborne playlist that shows how I did it.
i saw you break the Amygdala's limb and then run off.... when the blood comes gushing out of a limb and they stagger, that limb is broken and will take increased damage until the boss recovers. I think all the beast type bosses do this so when you break a limb, capitalize on it. otherwise, happy hoonting, hoonter!

Ebrietas' charge is definitely my least favourite move in Bloodborne. The hitbox seems significantly larger than the model and the telegraph isn't especially clear. It took dozens of missed dodges to figure out the timing and it's the kind of attack that tends to come when you're least ready for it. I dread fighting her every time just because relearning how to avoid that one move makes me sad.
Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts 2. His final attack is shooting lasers at Sora and Riku, you have to hit X to protect Sora and triangle to protect Riku. Young me simply couldn't move my thumb fast enough to hit both buttons. So I had to get through all the phases of the fight just to lose on that, eventually I learned to just use fingers and it was easy, but still salty.
So relatable, chalice dungeon Amygdala was by far my hardest challenge throughout all of bloodbourne

No shame, Amygdala in the defiled chalice took me about 41 attempts, but i did it and now have the platinum 💀
If you stand still the jump attack amgilo monster in bloodborne dosent hit you it lands right in front of you
That trick at the end of the Cyborg Ninja boss with the electricity was annoying as hell
2 mentions of 1 bloodborne boss, but no mention of the nightmare boss fight. The dude runs from you, has undying mobs everywhere, and in stage 2 he spams his 2 magic attacks, one of which is almost impossible to tank because 2 or 3 projectiles will kill you.
I found a exploit to beat him without entering the trap box in stage 2.
Rob: "I beat him... I beat him... I beat him..."

*Cyborg Ninja is on-screen, on all fours, smashing his face into the floor repeatedly*

I found the stand still trick for Amygdala, beat her on my first try in the dungeon.
Cheap Amygdala's jump can be be outsmarted by just slowly walking to the side when she jumps... works like magic =)

I actully like those bosses. If I can not prevent ore overcome there healing abillty I can not win at all. That is a unic problem which is fun to deal with and it makes dealing that killing blow all the more satisfaying. I have to say that healing move Young Xehanort from Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance does is so dam cool and stylish. I love that clock spell.

I have a fighting game boss..... Jinpachi from Tekken 5. He is so cheap, sometimes even when you do your 10-string combo with your character.... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COMBO.... he stuns you with his stun-move and he goes back and does a fireball. He even does a double fireball sometimes, when you manage to escape his normal fireball too many times...... just to make sure that you are getting hit for sure, cause his second fireball goes in that direction where you are standing. Its hard to explain, but people who played Tekken 5 on PS2..... they know what I´m talking about.

The move where he fires a line of energy along the floor, across the whole arena, hard to dodge and if it hits you're launched into the air and brought down to 1 hp, then he rushes up to you and attacks near instantly most often killing you and forcing you to start all over again.
Or Young Xehanort (same game) and his rewinding time when he loses forcing you to destroy his clock icon before time runs out whilst being attack by an invincible clone of himself, fail that and he heals back 2 health bars, take those out and he summons the clock again.

Just step forward like 2 steps once Amygdala jumps up. For whatever reason, standing basically directly under it while it jumps avoids all damage

Mine would be the FFX laughing scene, it’s not as bad as people make it out to be, in the scene they know it’s weird, silly and awkward but do it anyway for a laugh.
I remember literally studying Amgdala in Bloodborne, like, down to the exact moves you can do to bait her slam attack that leaves her head more vulnerable. I had to LEARN that stuff down to where her arms would land so I could run between the gap and attack as quickly as I could. Your window is about 5 seconds or something, it is rough.

Jinpachi Mishima. The attack that interrupts anything you are doing and staggers you. Makes the flame attack seem easy.
I agree about that stun move, he uses it way too much.
Even though the fireball attack is deadly, it is easy to dodge by sidestepping out of the way. The only snag is that he sometimes shoots more than one of them. I dodge the first fireball but end up immediately getting hit by a 2nd one.
