This song by Peabo Bryson is very touching, it not only can relate to a love relationship, it relates to all relationships seeking good, especially those seeking GOD! GLORY! HALLELUJAH, STAY HUNGRY FOR GOD'S LOVE ! HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH, LIKE PEABO HERE IN THIS SONG!!! ❤❤❤❤
This song is the best!! Listen to the words. Peabo's voice is out of this world! I saw him in person and almost fainted. I met him back stage in Saint Louis and he was really down to earth and funny. Sexy voice and man!
OMG.it has been ages since I have heard this classic...and once again I relive the feelings, sounds, scents and love of that time...how many singers today will be able to hold that place of honor...the lady Gaga's of today will fade musically in a short time only, her drama will be remembered, but Peabo...crosswinds, feel the fire, I'm so into you...PICK ONE..this will live on for decades !!!!
I don't remember hearing this song b4 but it, like ALL of the music he has EVER done, speaks to my SOUL. HE sings from his SOUL because he expresses the love that is inhis BEING. YOU express love like I feel it. THANK YOU PEABO BRYSON.
My sister were talking about artist from back in the day and we got stuck on all of the great music from Peabo Bryson. He was such an influence on male singers. Today's music is missing love songs about real love.
This the music of THE summers of my life 1978-79! This was one of the first albums I ever bought with my own money. Peabo. Earth Wind and Fire. Chaka Khan. Janice McClain. Wings. Boston. My first job. Independence. Life was good....
I love Peabo, my mother loved Peabo and she passed him to me. Where are vocalist like Peabo. We don't get songs like this anymore. I really miss, the song that make you sit back and think about the person you love and the person that you've loved in the past. Peabo, Donny, Luther are just a few of my all time favorite male vocalist.
My Favorite Peabo song...from my FAVORITE Peabo album. I have vivid memories of turning this one up as a child and TRYING to lear to hand dance to it...and also of listening with headphones on...while improving on my reading skills by reading *singing* the lyrics.
I’m glad I have been listening to Peabo has been right on when it comes to love and life so many of his beautiful song’s have been just how my love life has been these last few years it’s almost overwhelming for me thanks
55 yrs old... I remember listening to Peabo, Spyro Gyra, LTD, and Angela Bofill on WLYD while living on campus (Bienville Hall) at the University of New Orleans in 1981... This song just that's takes me back to nights when I was chilling out in my dorm room during those great times... I know you can't re-live them again, but at least you can in someway reflect on those same moments by listening to these great artist and others of this period...
This song really captures the essence of what someone should feel and know about how someone LOVES and truly LOVES someone , don't you know that time can only heal a broken heart. I Love to sing this to the One Love. Great song.
I heard this song on the radio recently and I jumped up and just started stepping by myself. This song is such a classic. I don't want a guy telling that I remind him of a jeep. I want him to put something on my mind like Peabo does right here.
Oh the memories from the early eighties!! Being a carefree college Freshman on the campus of then North Texas State University. I had fallen in love with Mr. Peabo Bryson and I wanted this album for my birthday. My plan was to trek across campus after lunch with my girlfriends to buy the album - yes album back then. Little did I know and much to my surprise my college girlfriends had bought me the album and I was so happy! I was happier than happy! I played it to death! Those were the days!!
I say Peabo at a Christmas concert with Marilyn McCoo, Envogue, and James Ingram in Merrillville, Indiana. All were great but Peabo stood out!! This is my favorite Peabo tune.
"A Time Or Two"...love is not something you can control, pick and choose. It's an emotion you are blessed to have. Only the pure of heart can love like this.
+bernadette Gardner-Pittman Thnaks for your your confirmation to be true to my heart and not do what most men do. Praying if you don't have a love of your own, you will soon get one. LOL.
A beautiful record that reminds me of being sixteen and seeing Peabo Bryson on the same ticket as Luther Vandross, the Jones Girls (hometown honeys with voices like angels) and LTD. GREAT show from the Joe Louis arena back in 1981. Larkin Arnold was the manager for both Peabo and Luther at the time. $12 ticket for all that talent. Priceless today.
Don't you know that time, can always heal the broken heart, when you know in your mind he still holds the part, I'm caught up in the Crosswind, I don't if I'm right or wrong, isn't it a shame, I lowdown dirty shame. so you think you'll never love again. The Lyrics are killing it, no songs like this anymore.
I Love this song, I found out bout this song n 1977 1 yr. aft. I came out of highschool n chgo going to the lounge of 69 club n the chi- back n da on the far south side so that's how I got caught up n the crosswinds
I remember this song riding with my uncle in his brand new 78 Oldsmobile Cutlass he just bought when he joined the Air Force. I love thiis song. Great memories and great music.
I remember hearing this song when I was like 6 years old in '81 I believe on the record player. I ended up making a copy years later by cassette from the album. When I first got stationed in Hawai'i in '96 I would play this many times on my day off in the dorm rooms w/ that cool Hawaiian breeze coming in. Ah...memories....
your words are so true, i ask my daughter all the time where are all the good men i feel so sorry for the young women this day and age trying to find mr. right. I think back in the day there were real mother's that played a big part in their son's life and real strong mother's produced real strong and respectful son's.
Alvin,Clifford, Malcholm, Vanessa, i'm the last one left from our band Lost Identity, this was the last song we played together on the campus of FAMU!!!
I hung out with Peabo at the Wise Fools with Odel brown & Duke Payne , Brother Raymond Susan, Dianne Brown, and students from Elmhurst college in chicago booker middleton, memphis, TN
I even liked Peabo when he did those songs for those famous Disney animations such as "A whole New World"...I forgot the title of the animation. Even when he did the them from the Soap Opera "One Life To Live".I was used to his familiar but unique voice. Peabo has it all and I'm just glad he's still around. Voice is larger than life. I swear! : )
@MrJuly1990ish Kudos, I agree with the way to stated that...did not think of it that way, but you're right. To be for real there are some true talents out there who are true to what their craft is. They may not have the longevity like some of our legends but I sometimes think of it this way...you have the star of a movie and the co-stars and supporting actors. the same in music.. if you get what i mean. Much love
I agree. I think my husband and his brother are the last men that dress like real men. Because I've seen men in their 50s & up dressed up like hip hop hobos. Peabo was so smooth.
@djntt69 Baby watch out that you don't get caught up in the Isley's "Here we go again" a little while down the road, you will save yourself some heartache!
@cakelady475 True, I do like John Legend and Corrien Baliey Rae, also my 21 year old nephew likes Sade, so I guess there is hope, lol!! Much love back and peace.
@MrJuly1990ish SO TRUE, COULDN'T HAVE WORDED IT BETTER MYSELF! But t he sad thing though to it all is that it (Lady Gaga or Lil Wayne, Kenye West, Minjai and the rest of today's autotune wannabe ZAPP clones BS as "music" but more like a spectacle you hear and see at a damn circus) is accepted and considered to be music by the general populous and music by artist like Bryson, EW&F, Osborn,O'Jays are a dying breed or ENDANGERED SPECIES and only way you'll hear it is through YOU TUBE SMH N SHAME.

Peabo had a string of great songs, outstanding lyrics and arrangements, he is the last of the living balladeers
In my humble option the greatest balladeer of the 70's and 80's.
So deeply underated.
