With less and less free time on my hands as I get older, I appreciate short polished experiences over longer games with loads of padding.
whats the difference in the end tho? A great big game equals 3 small great games. So whats the difference? Youre still investing the same amout of time just one one big story instead of 3 small ones....loads upon loads of old people read big ass novels over short tales. I dont see your point honestly, i mean i see it but i think u havent really thought about the real math about it.
I think youre afraid to accept that big games dont really catch your attention anymore and you rather play small fast games. Its not about time, its about attention span.
@@positronikiss Because one "big game" doesn't have a beginning, middle and end in the span of these "3 small great games". Some people want to actually finish a game and if they're working 8 hours a day and busy for the majority of their time off work, they can't sit down and finish a 40-hour game in a month like some people but rather a 5-hour game would fit perfectly in that time frame. Some people want to experience the whole thing without having to dedicate ludicrous hours to it. Plus, long doesn't mean good.

they read 1-2 hrs daily....same amount of time it takes to finish a " big game". 60 hrs. Less if you dont plan on doing all the side shit.

Whenever I look up a game I completely ignore IGN.
This is the kind of game where you wish you are still young and your friends are still around and everyone sitting on a couch enjoying the game together during a sleepover in midnight .

I dont know. I loved Unraveld 1. But I didnt like Unravel two as much. And there was also a second character introduced in this one. But this wasnt an AI one, though.

I love the art in these games, the first gave me hardcore Coraline vibes in terms of character design

I honestly thought of Spirited Away- mostly because you play as a small child in an unfamiliar vessel full of horrid creatures.
Supposedly some of the creators of coraline are working on a little nightmares show for Netflix

Took me around eight hours to finish. Really took my time hunting for the hats and taking in the world. The thing about little nightmares 1&2 is that they have a really rich lore and story that is never explicitly explained in game. I mean there are no spoken words and yet they still tell such a compelling narrative. This is one of those games where you finish it, and you hop on the subreddit to have your mind blown by the lore you missed, the hidden context, and how it all ties in to the world that these extremely talented devs have created. Can’t wait for the DLC.
I played the OG for the first time a few months ago, fell in love, made my GF fall in love as well, and then the sequel got announced, I have already bought it, can't wait to play it.
After Completing both games I can say that it is a 10/10 experience with the first game being a little bit finicky but for me that didn't disrupt my playthrough and actually made it feel more challenging, But Little Nightmares 2 is far more improved upon, the visuals, sound design, story and even the controls have been improved drastically. Both games are 10/10 if I had to choose 1 it would Be Little Nightmares 2 but still I recommend playing both games, don't let price deter you!

Played both games and really enjoyed both. I highly relate to the bits where near perfection in timing seems needed to advance, but overall - and even though the games are relatively short in game time - they were both fantastic. And it cannot be emphasized enough that Tobias Lilja really blew the roof off with the music. I'd buy both again in a heartbeat.
I got really sad by the fact that this is not a 2 player game, my deadass was hyped at the thought of devs taking the same routte as Unravel devs. Would be perfect for switch

I got gifted the first one, finished in 3 hours and honestly, you can’t go to the cinema and be guaranteed a good film for the same price. Where as that game and this the follow up you can 100% guarantee it’s amazing

I’ve just started playing this game today on my Nintendo Switch OLED and I’m bloody impressed so far. I haven’t got to far into it but from what I’ve already played I’ve really enjoyed, from the music to the gameplay. The character models can definitely make you feel uneasy when sneaking through a level!

I just absolutely love the atmosphere of this game.
It’s a unique horror game.
After playing the first one, and all it’s dlcs, and after just finishing the second. I can clearly say I favored the second one. Great story, scarier, and overall more eye appealing. If your looking to get this game, BUY IT
If Little Nightmares is a good game, then Little Nightmares 2 is a masterpiece.
I loved the original game and was very excited for this one. The imagery in some of the rooms you walk in reminded me of silent hill. It does not have to be gory to seriously creep you out. Your imagination will fill in the blanks and that is the type of atmosphere I crave in gaming. I have huge respect for the art design in the 1st game but this one really does take it to another level. Brilliant stuff.
Let me just say this game blew my mind. It's the prequel to the first game and the ending is absolutely insane. 10/10

I've already pre ordered the ps4/ps5 version. I'm a big fan of games like Limbo and Inside and I also loved the first Little Nightmares(the demo for this sequel looks really interestig)
I finished this one yesterday and Little Nightmares last year... I’m hooked by the gameplay and story!
That was very nice of you to make the point that people with hearing restraints may miss out on solving a puzzle. I hope that gets back to the devs.
The game is solid but repeats the first one's fatal flaw: it's just too short. I feel like each chapter should've been twice as long, especially chapter 1.

I'm a couple hours in playing the PC version. There's a ton to love here but I do enjoy the slower, puzzle-focused moments much more than the trial and error chases and combat. The controls are by no means bad. They just feel slightly clunky at times and don't always lend themselves to precision.. Overall, I'm enjoying it and feel the price is fair.

Thankfully, I feel like there are a lot fewer of those precision-based movements than in the first game. The game also focuses a lot more on straightforward puzzles and chases, ie chases are a lot more straightforward and the puzzles require less climbing and platforming. The X-Ray puzzle and the Teacher Stealth sections are standout examples IMO.

I’ve just brought Little Nightmares II for my Nintendo Switch after hearing really good things about this game. I’ve recently just jumped back into gaming and I’m glad this is going to be my first experience back. The Horror mixed with some charm looks to be a fantastic concept! Excellent Review as well!

I can't wait to see where this one goes after the insane ending of the first. Tbh, I was hoping this one would be slightly longer playtime-wise, but the atmosphere and lore alone are more than worth the $30 price tag for me... which is exactly why I forked over even more for the stay tuned edition. I am READY.

my first acid trip i was playing little nightmares on the ps4. the trip started to kick in while I was trying to use the mirror on that japanese lady. I actually lost track of what I was doing and actually ended up dropping my controller and smoked out of my cart to calm me down. After a while the trip intensified a lot, I kept feeling like I was in the belly of some monster, a pink colored ominous purple belly and the sounds from the game were still going on too so I really started to loose track of stuff. I then started to get anxious cause it was 6 am and the trip still didnt die down and I started sweating and taking off my cloths looking at the time. But the whole time idek why I felt like I was in the belly of something. I havent fully recovered from the trip to this date, and i cant look at the insides of peoples mouths ever again without getting flashbacks to the pink color belly of the beast I was in.
Before you buy LN2, make sure you can handle depression.

Loved the first one. I played it on the Switch.
My only problems with the Switch port were the weird fuzzy grain over the graphics in portable mode and some slow load times.
Sadly, I had some similar problems with the LN2 demo.
It looks lovely on home console mode, but yeah. If the load times bug you (they didn’t bug me; yet again, I buy old consoles and techon sale and don’t use the latest and greatest or whatever), I suggest the other consoles or PC version.
I’m concerned the Switch version’s gonna have similar problems.
LN1 and 2 are both gems in the horror and puzzle genre. really incredible games and works of art that will stand the test of time. truly inspired art direction and level design

There is not, I recently collected all 35 achievements and there isnt.
Those of us who have it make up the 13% of 1 percent that actually do, 2 would be much harder to not die so i'm glad its gone this time.

For anyone wanting to buy for enhanced editions its currently on Amazon in UK and Europe for £17.04 for the 'Day One Edition' brand new, worth every penny, it looks stunning anyway but on the PS5 (And XBSX/S I'm sure, I know they are patching rtx) this game looks incredible, there is an area with rain drops and if you want to show your friends your new consoles abilities put this on.
Im sad that I only see almost no youtubers do a let's play of this game :(

@@stryker0ae I do, and I know how that worked out, but I was a big enough fan of the first game to take the chance for this one. I even got the 40 dollar edition. I feel it's not often enough that we get games like this, with all of the AAA scum out there so I really wanted to show these devs the support. I even got every trophy for the first game and I really wanna do it for this one. It was the first gane I ever did a speed run for and I may try getting some records for this one!
In all honesty, it looks like more of the same, so I think your preorder is safe. However, I got the first one for $6 on sale. I wouldn’t pay full price for this.

I've played little nightmares when it came on Stadia Pro few months ago and I've loved it, I've played the demo of little nightmares 2 on the PS5 and I really wanted to carry on playing, now I'm glad that this will be coming free for people having Stadia Pro on day one 😃

10/10! I played both a while ago they are both great but I definitely prefer the 2nd one, can be pretty scary and difficult at times but it’s so worth it and the ending is great!
