Thank you for posting this video and sharing scripture. I never knew why Israelite men had long curls down the sides of their face like that. As far as men with beards, I plainly thought men were created “bearded” to signify the difference between male and female. Fascinating video.
My mum and my late wife preferred me clean shaven .I have tried growing a beard tash but given up trying as for the head mine grows thick at the back thin at the front and I have only gone sort my be once as a child growing up as it was the in think back in my youth 😊
Many days ago, before the trans movement was popular, I grew a beard to show everyone I'm a man, although I don't think there would have been any doubt on anybody looking at me anyway. This was before I knew about the verses in Leviticus.
Leviticus 21:5 They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
The Old Testament is a base which was completed with the New Testament and you CANNOT separate them. The Bible isn't literal, you have to take it metaphorically and just because the Old Testament is harder, doesn't mean that it is wrong. God is still the same, the difference between Jews and us Christians is that they denied Christ which led them to misunderstanding of the whole point
@@halfmaul2095 Indeed, the Old Testament provides the backdrop from which the New Testament succeeded it. The Old Testament was addressed to the Israelites, the New Testament is addressed to all humanity - including the Israelites, but some of them reject it.

Thanks for the update.
GOD gave man the ability to grow facial hair, he didn’t give that ability to women or children. I’m a man so I have a beard.
i actually break out terribly even at age 61 if i grow a beard i had to be prescribed antibiotics a few time cause it got infected so no beard for me.
In ancient times the more abundant the beard the manlier.
OLD TESTAMENT applies to Jews, not Christians.
