Follow this guide to learn how to clean the outer housing, carafe, coffee basket, grinding mechanism and drip tray. Whether your machine just needs a quick wipe down or you want to perform a deep clean, we have plenty of tips to help you on your way to amazing tasting coffee.
The Outer Housing: (00:30)
1. Using a soft damp cloth, apply cleaner to the cloth and wipe down the machine.
2. Take a dry cloth and polish the machine until dry.
TIP: Make sure not to use paper towels and harsh cleaners as they might damage the surface.
The Carafe: (00:49)
1. For a basic clean, rinse the carafe to remove coffee residue and dry.
2. For a deeper clean, use warm, soapy water and a brush to wash your carafe.
TIP: Remember to empty the coffee from the carafe after each use to avoid it staining the carafe interior.
The Coffee Basket & Gold-tone Filter: (01:07)
1. Make sure the basket has time to cool after brewing as it might be hot to touch.
2. Rinse the basket and filter under running water and carefully remove any remaining ground coffee.
3. Use warm soapy water and a brush to clean the basket and filter and then dry.
The Grinding Burrs and Grind Shoot: (01:34)
1. Make sure your machine is unplugged before removing the bean hopper and opening the swing-out door to access the grinding burrs.
2. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any coffee grinds that have built up around the burrs.
TIP: Aim to clean the grinding burrs every 2-3 weeks dependent on machine use to prevent the build-up of coffee grinds.
The Grind Catcher and Drip Tray: (02:58)
1. Remove the grinds catcher and drip tray from the machine.
2. Rinse and wash using warm soapy water.
3. Dry thoroughly and replace.
