    My chute wouldn't open despite doing these steps. I knew it was opening to make coffee. I keep it plugged into a power strip shared with my Keurig. I unplugged from there and directly into an outlet then bzzzz, the chute opened. Yay! Great video and video quality by the way

    Thanks for sharing. I keep a pipe cleaner handy. Without removing the bean hopper, I unlock it and use the pipe cleaner to clean the chute at the bottom. It takes 10 seconds and I do it before every brew so the chute it always clean.

    I bought this coffee maker "gently used" on ebay and it would always make the coffee too strong and half of the beans wouldn't be ground. I had to run half a pot normally and then run it again without grinding.
    I watched this video and followed your instructions and just as you suggested, I found a little pebble in the grinder that was keeping it from doing its job! I removed it and now it works great! Thank you!!

    This video is SO helpful! Thank you very, very much! I’m trying to figure out how to remove the silver disc on the grinder so that I can clean behind it and remove all of the build up “gunk.” Any suggestions will be most welcomed. :). I’m SO NOT a fix-it person, however your video offered extremely understandable language and directions in order for me to fix my machine. Gosh, I’m a nervous wreck from trying to make sure I didn’t damage the machine. Haha. But, I’ve got it working and am thrilled about learning something new. Us non-mechanical people SURE DO appreciate people like you - who know what they are doing. Hope you are having a great day and enjoying a nice, homemade non-$10 cup of coffee! I bought a cup of freshly ground coffee at a conference the other day and it cost $12!!! PS. I agree with the helpful hint concerning the oil on certain coffee beans and how easily they clog the machine. What kind of beans do YOU enjoy? My regards & much Aloha, Jeri

Upon brewing, the coffee grounds remain trapped in the filter, preventing the extraction of brewed coffee. Could you please provide guidance on how to address this issue? I have a seperate Breville grinder so don't really need this model, but it would be easier and less steps. If you didn't want the grinder to run in the early morning, could you start the process, turn it off after grinding is done. Then in the morning set the dial to Pre Ground (or whatever it says).

      @Matteo Parente, I STILL cannot get the small piece underneath the bean hopper to unlock. I thought, (for one very brief moment), of trying to use something to 'help' it along, but decided against it. I'll ask my husband to try. If he can't get it to move, I don't know what to do to get it out. Maybe call their customer assistance #. I really appreciate this man's videos; they've helped me from the start when I started having 'issues'. I haven't owned my Breville but for a few months now either.

    • @christinesanchezlepe7766
      @christinesanchezlepe7766 2 роки тому +1

      @@JustADad, I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your videos. I've owned my Breville for about 5 mos. now. My husband got it for me as he knows how much I love fresh-ground coffee. So, when my Keurig went out, (after 10 years!), there was a very short discussion on whether to get another Keurig, (the K-Duo), or something else. My husband had found this Breville & done some research into it before he bought it for me. We moved not long after I got it & I made the mistake of not keeping the PAPERWORK with the machine. Long story short, your descaling video was the first that I needed. Since then I've been having issues with 'water levels', not being able to actually take the piece underneath the hopper out to get to the grinder itself, & VERY finely ground coffee plugging up the chute after EVERY use! I watched this video & it was helpful, but would you know why maybe that my grounds are so finely ground as to be a powder in the chute after brewing one pot? I've tried changing the setting as to how fine a grind, but that just doesn't seem like something that I should have to do....I like dark roast coffee! Anyway, I did learn something VERY interesting about this coffeemaker that I wouldn't have guessed in a thousand years: I've been having problems with the water levels being skewed all over the place, when I add water it doesn't register, & then all of a sudden, I've got 12 cups worth showing on the panel. I've emptied the tank more than once, refilled, SAME thing happens. Well, apparently the 'float' doesn't measure the water by the float method, but by 'solids' in the water. As I use filtered water, (& have very recently gotten a 'Zero Water' filter), the machine is not registering the water! I was told to just add some tap water to prevent this from happening. I'm going to contact Breville about this. They are the ones who informed the person who told me about the 'solids' in the water being measured by the machine & not a 'float' mechanism. I thought I was losing it, but I did add some tap water to the tank & it started acting right again! I don't know WHY Breville would do that. It just doesn't make sense, as most people want to use filtered water & I thought that that's what I needed to use to prevent scale buildup. I don't want to 'hate on' this Breville, but I've had so many issues within just a very short time & when I want a cup of coffee I don't want to HAVE to break my machine down & clean it every time. Thanks again for your videos! Any thoughts on that water 'issue'? I really didn't mean to write a mini novel here either! 😁

      @@christinesanchezlepe7766 I enjoyed reading your comment. Not really sure about the water, I know they way not to use distilled water in coffee makers.
