    I’ve been waiting for you to cover this. I listened to this song many times while sitting with my daughter for 3 weeks and 1 day in hospice care until she passed away on March 9, 2023. I felt I could not be the man (Dad) that I needed to be for my little girl. I felt helpless. Ironically, Boston singer Brad Delp died on the same day. March 9th (2007). Thank you for reacting.

    is one of the (and possibly THE BEST, ever!) vocalists, ever. At all!💜🔥 🤘🤘
    Unchallenged.
    Every vocal note on the debut album and Don't Look Back is HIM!
    He double-tracked, sang harmonies, shit people think is a guitar line or harmony is, in fact: all Brad Delp.
    Bless this man ! 💜💜💜💜🔥 [R.I.P.]

    Boston was the first rock concert I ever saw to just after their debut album came out. They sounded just as good live as on the album. It was incredible.
    Speaking of their debut album, Boston, it's a Rock masterpiece. Every song is a banger. Foreplay/Longtime, Rock and Roll Band, Smokin', Gonna Hitch a Ride, Peace of Mind, More than a Feeling, heck the whole album. It's just killer.

    Saw these dudes in the 1990s sitting on the slopes of a ski resort in the summer. Boston is an incredible band, total perfectionists, they sounded as good live as they do on the albums. I was a wanderer for the first 30 years of my life, went a lot of places in the world doing random stuff, never made much money but I'd always go to live music anywhere I was and discovered lots of great stuff I never would have heard about otherwise.

      It's 1979, was a high school senior. Our ART teacher instructed our class to paint a cool picture. Anything really. ( Of course respectable). My decision was the Boston guitar/space ship logo from the album cover. I really took my time on it, and my Father made a frame for it. Teacher actually put it in the York Fair art exhibit and it won a Blue ribbon!!! My picture rocked , but not nearly as the FAMOUS ROCK GROUP BOSTON. They are loved forever. A huge fan in Hanover, PA

    @castlew4162 7 місяців тому

    This is one of my favorite songs. It was an awesome experience when Tom and Brad did this "unplugged" when I saw them in 1995.
    The meaning is open to interpretation, but to me "this dream you see" is her perception of him through her lens of love. He will never be the man she sees because that would be impossible no matter how hard he tries. He loves her and that is why he has tried so hard to live up to what she sees. He "can't get any stronger" and "can't climb any higher". He tells her to "hold a little tighter" - i.e. try to get us closer emotionally, and maybe that will be enough. Maybe she'll realize her unattainable expectations. At the end the character seems to change a little, and he's looking to "find a way" to feel like the man she sees. He can't keep hiding his feelings, and I would hope he doesn't and tells her how he feels; and of course she'll be fine with how he really is. Doesn't everyone that is truely in love perceive someone more than that person sees in themselves.

    Literally any song on their first album is a banger. Every single one of them got (and some still get) significant radio airplay. That album is in the running for best debut rock album ever. As others have suggested, Foreplay/Longtime should probably be next. "Hitch a Ride" is probably my favorite of theirs, and you should definitely hit that too. Enjoying your reactions to the songs I grew up with. Keep it up, and don't worry about changing anything, Just keep keeping it real.

    Boston is considered one of the great rock bands of all time. Yet, they're still underrated. ;-) These guys will always be my favorite. I was in a garage band back in late 80s, I was lead singer, and I sang Boston, Led Zep, etc. Brad's story is a sad one. Foreplay/Longtime is their best, IMHO. It will be played at my funeral, for sure.

That sound will never be reproduced..!! Don't worry about the views, they'll come with this kind of music because it's all us older folks that are viewing..!! You're not late to the party, you were completely absent from it..!! Glad to see older people driving ratings that force you to listen to the greatest music ever performed..!! I graduated in 86 and I would go back in a heartbeat to relive it if I could..!! Simple times with a much higher quality of life than we live today..!!

      It could be that, too. For me it was more romantic related. But that's the beauty of lyrics. They can have different meanings, for different people.

    A song that hit home for me way back in the day when I felt I was in a relationship that was wrong for me and had to break up and hurt a girl's heart.

    Love your channel. Yes, you must check out "More Than A Feeling", "Four Play Longtime", " Smokin", "Rock and Roll Band". I can't think of a song that's not excellent by them.
