I always like that looks of the taurus tracker i yes don't know if I want to deal with their customer service, I have the gp 100 4inch. Is a keeper.god bless and stay safe.
Had taurus for many many years never a hickup been very good tools also dealt with customer service on ordering mags and general questions always been polite and helpful. Excellent video thanks for the vdeo and time 👍
Ya I’ve had good luck with my Taurus’s . Never need to deal with customer service. But I have heard they have came along way and more positive public opinion on them lately
I have owned the 4 inch 44mag Tracker for well over 10 years. It's a great gun, my application and intended use besides the dresser drawer was for long distant backpacking. During a solo trip I carried it 70 miles in 9 days where the trail is above 10,000 feet the vast majority of the time. It's weight to comfort level provided is well worth it in bear country. I only loaded the 5 round cylinder with 4 Buffalo Bore 305 grain rounds. This gave me a margin of safety considering the double action and also lessened the weight a bit. Love the gun... God bless
Nice video man. I just got my stainless steel 4.2 inch barrel gp 100 less than a year ago. I’ve only shot 38 special rounds out of it so far though can’t wait to shoot 357 rounds out of it
Ya I’d be nice if the Taurus just came with them already installed. Although they have since changed grip design fairly recently. I don’t have much expirence with the new ones
FWIW, I agree with your assessment. I’ve owned both Ruger and Taurus revolvers as well as several S&W revolvers. Of all of them my personal favorite is the Ruger. I currently own a GP100, a SP101, and an LCR. My Taurus collection includes a M617 and a M85; both are excellent revolvers. I’ve never had a reason to contact Taurus Customer Service so I can’t comment from experience about their responsiveness. I have dealt with Ruger’s CS for non-revolver related issues (Mini-14). They are great to work with.
In all my experiences with guns, I’ve only had to contact customer service on. 2 guns. An armscor 206 and glock 29. Armscor had real issues and needed a part. The glock was missing grip plates, glock was great armscor was so-so
Taurus is way better for the money, ware it out, after what 100.000 rounds, I don't think that's anything to worry about, I have a Taurus 38 special that's 52 years old, still shoots like it did new 😊
Ya Taurus gets a bad rap from mismanagement 20 years ago. But gun owners don’t easily forget things like that. Taurus has been stepping up their game strong.
@@Conklikov how is that internal lock holding up? I bought a Braztech 14 years ago and it was a nightmare. The lock broke twice, sold it off. Got a few of the new 856s and I love em. I got one with probably 8,000 rounds in it and 10,000 dry fires and it's still going strong.
That's not how you determine lock up. Pull hammer back, pull trigger while slowly lowering hammer with your thumb all the while holding the trigger back. Now check the cylinder lock up.
You forget to mention the HUGE advantage of ported barrel to control this beast and the follower shoot is way better thath Rugger.. even do Rugger is a excellent weapon but in a defensive moment the Taurus give you the advantage to following shoot
Totally agree on the raging hunter line. Really cool and functional design. I will say I like how rugers are built tolerance wise but I love Taurus stainless matte finish . Durable and doesn’t scratch to hella half acre
The tracker looks badass

Thanks for the comment, ya it’s toss up. Now I really need to work on getting a smith and Wesson. Never owned a smith revolver. It’s only my list
My edc at work is a taurus 605 357 mag. Damn good summer carry for working class and on my weekend adventures im packing my ruger GP.100.

Can you shot buffalo bore out of your tracker? I just got a black 4” one
So size does count?
@DaMadDad... yes you can

Those hogue grips are super comfortable, have them on my 357 tracker

Torn between two lovers. Nice vid.

@@taasch2505 that would be breaking all the rules. 😁
@@OOICU812 but life is more fun when you break the rules ;)

Very true , although if you were inclined to you could port the ruger gp100. But it is a shame that ruger doesn’t do it on their guns to begin with
Both nice pieces, shiawassee huh? Probably not that far from me if your in Michigan
Yup
I have both, about the same.
Ya they are. Although I’d say gp100 is a bit better built but you sure will pay for it
Tauruses are best looking revolver. Especially 5 inch raging hunter line

@@Conklikov Taurus 460 is probably my next revolver. Plus I can shoot 454 casull and 45 Colt
Ruger cylinders are made from forged bar stock. Frame is cast
Yes I apologize if I left that part out.
..and your point is?
What is yours? It’s a comparison video between the two gun to help people think about which gun they may want to get
gp100 all the way
Can’t beat ruger ruggedness
i cant get past the insane amount of hand rubbing peace out lmao
Hey guns are pretty and sometimes they need a good rubbing
357 magnum ruger much better
Oh I agree just Rugers build quality in general is all around better
No !!!
tracker is better !!!
