Timing is perfect for me! I’ve been cutting and saving tin cans for a couple of months. I started making die cuts of tiny tags for my junk journals with them. I love the nail polish idea to give them some pizzazz!
Awesome, Mark what a very Beautiful & Rasy project .I Love ❤️ the idea of using recycled cans, nail polish to color.I don't have an Emboss machine but I can ck my craft store. Thanks, for sharing this Unique & Beautiful project.Blessings to you & the team. Amen! 🙏❤🙏🤗
Wow I think this is just awesome. A color for everything. You always amaze us as crafters. I love seeing your video's finding out, what you're making next. Take care stay safe .
@@MarkMontanoMakeYourMark I just watched this on the big TV and I realized those baubles are earrings. I feel so stupid. You are so talented. Oh and I still call them tin cans even though I know they are aluminum now .
Hi Mark, wow! I love this jewelry, and using tin cans is a great idea, I will be looking into making some of these, I love that small embossing machine that is totally so cool, when I worked at this craft store we had those embossing machines and I was always using them for so many fun projects, now I need to get one like you have so I can have a lot of fun again. I have all of the beads and earring wires and the tools to make those earrings, now I just need to emboss some tin which would be so cool. I like grabbing nail polish at the Dollar Tree, they have a lot of really beautiful colors. Thanks for another really great video that is so inspiring, you are so awesome and I love your videos so much. I hope that the rest of your week is good, sending much love and many hugs, bye for now. 😂🤗🥰😘💜💜
You are amazing Mark, I did make a necklace out of plastic like you did. It really turned out great. I think I need to try this one. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Hi Mark, these are so fabulous!! :)) The patterns just pop through the colors! You could make these for all seasons, just with a change of the nail polish color. This would look good using te small rounds to make a linked bib necklace to go with the earrings and cuff, a great set! Thanks for sharing! Have a fantastic day Mark! :)))
Hi Mark! How are you feeling my friend? I live the look of embossing. I'm always excited to learn new ideas to use my embossing plates. I actually use them far more than my cutting dies. 🙃 😊 Stay cool 😎
@@MarkMontanoMakeYourMark Aw thanks Mark..yes we're in our winter now and im actually sitting thru a pretty severe storm here in Perth Western Australia. Two big fronts passing thru at the moment and the rain and wind are really destructive. Power outages to about 35,000 homes, flooding and trees down and homes missing roofs etc. Pretty full on! We have them at this time of year but not often, its usually the rain, of course we get good gales too but when they are this big its always a bit of a worry. The good ol weather man says it will peak by mid morning tomorow and then just the normal rain till at least mid way into next week..the rain is always good for our farmers and dams but the wind is always so destructive. Roll on summer lol then we'll suffer our usual heat waves of anything from 32° to 41° Celsius...hot hot hot! Life in Oz 😆
Hey Cj! I love it too. I've had so much sparkling water in a can I can't seem to toss the cans so I cut them and save them. I have a few things up my sleeve coming!
Mark, you’re great! Great ideas! Did you scruff or sand the edges? Of course you did! How’d you do it? I saw you didn’t edge them up on the cuff. 😻🤩👍🏼🤪❣️
I Love this Idea. Now I always wondered about the tins, how do you not slice your fingers?.... Do they get dull when you cut them? Love the Turnouts.....HUGS.....
Really cool Mark. Do u know that you can put other designs on the polish using nail plates. Just a thought. The sky really is the limit.😊 What about sharp edges ??
You want to use serrated edge scissors and give a decent coat of lacquer and polish. That covers my edges pretty well. Tons more jewelry diys that I don't share anywhere else on patreon. www.patreon.com/MarkMontano

Hello Mark- new subscriber here. Silly question... Does the "sharpness" of the tin go away after die cutting it or is there a step to dull the edges I have missed? Thank you and looking forward to binge watching your channel!
The nail polish actually dulled the edges, too. You can sand them a little if you want. Check out my Patreon if you have a second. Lots of fun ideas there that I don't share anywhere else. www.Patreon.com/MarkMontano

Hi Mark I have to correct you on one thing, the cans you are using are made of aluminium not tin, thus you should call them aluminium cans or soda cans. I hope you don't mind me correcting you. Love the project ❤ I love embossing cans. I also make sun catchers with them, both tin and aluminium.
Oh Mark... these are aluminum cans! Lol. But I love the project! Have you got a dapping block? If not, order one from Amazon right away! If you want a preview, hit up the Frugal Crafter, Lindsey Weirich (sp?) /aluminum jewelry.

Use a fine grit sandpaper and that will do it...Also, pile on the nail polish, it softens all the edges...it's so thick!
