Aero, I took a break from poker and I’ve watched all of your videos within my break. I was on a really bad down swing and knew it wasn’t bad luck, I wanted to get better. I played for the first time since my break and applied a lot of what I learned from your videos. I played 1/3 for 3 hours and bought in for the max $500 and left with $767. It’s not my biggest win, but it was the best poker I’ve played so far, so the win is large in my eyes because it shows progression in my skill. Love the videos, thanks for helping me step my game up.
I was an old OMC who played some 1/2 NLH about once a month at a casino 90 miles away in Oklahoma. Then they opened up Texas Card House in Dallas in October 2020. Everything changed. Being a retiree, I could play 2, 3, 4 times a week if I want to. I started playing more, studying, joined Poker Coaching with Jonathan Little, learned what GTO is, and so forth. You are never too old to learn and you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. Now I go and play 2/5 mostly and my bankroll has shot up in the last year. I let the youngsters at the table just assume I'm an OMC. They are in for lots of surprises when I have A,A one hand, as they expect, then bluff and win a big pot with a dirty diaper or something.....What a great game we play. And in Texas, poker is always crazy.
Hi Aero. Great content as always. In the middle you mention someone at your table named David that has a bunch of poker channels? Which channels as that didn’t ring a bell to me. Appreciate your poker insights. Always a tasty tidbit to learn each episode.
Love the videos as always! Question -- how come you always play so late in the night? Does it have to do when the games are better and less regs and stuff?
I love the hand history and the way you think and talk it out, I feel I do the same thing and some of the things you have said have opened my eyes to different ways to process what my opponents are doing
In the first session that hand with aces against the tight pro who 4 bet u - was 5 betting the right approach? Also I can’t wait to see this 9k pot against David and see what his tell is!! Loved the last hand, and as always I really enjoy ur analysis behind each decision. Hoping to get my bankroll built up by the start of the new year and try to take the low stakes tables more seriously 👊🏽
If you 5-bet and get called my hands like J9 off, you're definitely getting it in good! With my AA against Gao, I'm never going to 5-bet him again ;p He's just going to fold all hands that aren't Aces. But against othe players, 5-betting or just smooth calling are both fine
Thanks Aero! Are you planning to hire someone to do video editing? Noticed that you are still at end of August vlogs, so I can imagine you got a huge backlog of hands.
Right now I've hired one editor, plus I have my wife working on videos as well. There's always going to be some backlog. I spend about 5-6 hours per video just on the audio portions alone. So the most I can release in a week is likely 2 considering I still need to play poker and also occasionally do coaching as well :) Plus this last week, we took a little mini vacation to San Diego for a Ren Faire and our spare editor celebrated his anniversary, so he took a week off as well.

Hi aero , I play in a casino 2/5 the max buy in is 1000 € and the min is 200€ if I only buy in with the min buy in can what should my strategy be ? Tight aggressive ? Or look only for all ins
You should never buy in for 200 in a 2-5, especially when the cap is 1,000. You're better off buying in at a 1-2 or whatever the lowest stakes is. You won't get the right price to set mine or play with suited connectors vs any raise with that short buy in.
